The doctors do not communicate with each other about patients care whatsoever, as a research facility they make it very evident they are just trying to find out information from you and then send you away. I had a resident student perform a cortisone injection without my consent, the dr just handed her the needle and told her to go ahead! I also consistently cannot get appointments unless it is months and months ahead of time despite being a patient, and they also regularly simply lost my insurance information and I would have to resubmit almost every time I went back.

Overcharges for everything and has a terrible billing department and customer service. I paid $1,105 for a TEN MINUTE talk with a doctor and ONE SET of labs AFTER INSURANCE. If you care about your health and wallet do not go to this medical group.

Crystal is completely non-empathetic, reads from a script, and is an outright liar. I live with a debilitating panic disorder on a daily basis. Therefore, I had my mom call the UC Davis Medical Group and gather some information. She had given my name and information and Crystal gave the clear to set me up as a new patient with either Dr. Chung, Dr. Mahoney, or Dr. McKenzie. I wanted Dr. Alan but she told my mom that he isn’t accepting new patients. When I called today, Crystal said she apologized for the “miscommunication” but that no doctors at the clinic are accepting new patients. There was no miscommunication. My mom is articulate, intelligent, and wrote down notes during her phone call with Crystal. Crystal gave no suggestions on what to do and took no accountability. Now, I am left with no doctor to see in Davis when I desperately need one. By the way, after gathering and updating my information, she put me on hold for a couple of minutes. When she returned is when she read the script, “The UC Davis Medical Group is currently not accepting new patients until after 1/1.” I have a sinking filling it is only for people that only have Medicare Parts A & B because after I verified that is when she put me on hold. My mom specifically told her last week that I have only Medicare A & B and that I will have a supplement after 1/1/24. Folks with only Medicare Parts A & B are viewed as second class citizens! The SOLE REASON IS BECAUSE THE CLINICS DO NOT MAKE ENOUGH MONEY OFF OF US BECAUSE MEDICARE PARTS A & B REIMBURSE AT A LOWER RATE!!! Crystal and all folks like her don’t care if people like me live or die!! DISGUSTING AND INHUMANE!!!

Dr.Karen Chung is amazing! My family members and I each had a positive experience with her. She always has a listening ear and will provide the best treatment possible for your symptoms. I also like the fact that she confers with other doctors who are specialists in the field to obtain their advice/feedback- it feels as if I’m getting a second opinion without actually having to go out and get a second opinion. My family and my experience with Dr.Chung has been nothing short of fantastic!

The 2660 building receptionist was not really nice. I asked her for feminine hygiene products and she straight up said no and didn’t even try looking for it. Went to the other building and the receptionist there was much nicer and helped me out.

They have forgotten their main goal... taking care of patients. No one cares. It takes several months to get your referral looked at then several months to get an appointment. If you try and follow up to offer help, they get mad at you. People are sick, you need to do better. Stop lining your pockets and help people.

To whom it may concern.I just want to thank the professional & knowledgeable pharmacist who was able to claim the insurance for my Tdap immunization and did the injection for me after the injection nurse told me to use Medicare insurance at the pharmacy because neither the GEHA nor the Anthem UC Davis Health would cover the cost for my booster Tdap.I appreciate his patience & willingness to help a puzzled senior citizen.

Don’t waste your time. Staff was unsupportive, disorganized, and didn’t know what was up or down.Called for an appointment, was told to walk into their affiliated urgent care and was refused service even after having my insurance approved. A medical group should not waste a patient’s time when they are suffering. Very unprofessional would never attempt to be seen here again.

In general, a good medical team and service is of high quality. They seem to have a lot of turnover in their medical staff, which makes it difficult to get comfortable with a given physician. Sometimes calls for appointments are not answered, forcing one to go to the clinic for just an appointment.

Dr. Pauline Perez, Dr. Inaty, Dr. Malik, -- all at the DAVIS location (2660 west Covell) --all outstanding. All are UC Davis medical center affiliated! Great care. Dr. Marion Johnson was only there for a 6 mo fill-in, a notable md/allergist from LA, may have saved my life. Ok, so why only 3 stars? The unseen clinic powerbrokers (who are you?) ----suck. Why? Dr. M. Johnson is gone & UC Davis fell down on the job. There is no NO replacement allergy specialist on board. So--- for weeks now, Zero, Zip, Nada allergy injections were given. And now we're informed that all January injections also canceled. My God. I can't get a straight answer from anyone at the allergy section of the clinic. Thus, I'm left to assume that the unseen authorities in this clinic fail to move fast enough and/or offer a proper salary in order to acquire a qualified allergist. Grrr. Meanwhile, those of us beaten with allergies must suck it up while our already-mixed serums grow beards in the clinic refrigerator.

Dr. Perez (family med) was my 1st doctor in the Davis area. Then, because of Covid and now being a 'long hauler'---within the last few months I also require the care of Dr. Inaty (pulmonolgist), Dr. M. Johnson (allergist), Dr. Malik (cardiology)---all are amazing women, highly trained, intelligent, with great communication skills. We moved here from Berkeley, right before the Covid lockdown. Both husband & I were concerned about having to travel into Sacramento for all medical care..and we wondered if UC Davis health care sorta reach the quality of care we received from UCSF Medical center. (We didn't expect much)Hooray! Both of us are blown away by the outstanding care we're experiencing with UC Davis doctors. That there is also a UC Davis system clinic here in Davis, just down the road from us, is a super surprise. The SAME doctors one sees in the medical center in Sacramento are here on certain days.We are so grateful for the care we are getting..we've said good-bye to the UCSF doctors.BTW: To travel into UCDAVIS Sacramento location, to the medical marvel of a hospital, takes us 15 mins. with free parking. To get to UCSF in the bay area, required at least 45 mins--we'd allow 90 mins because bay traffic craziness happens-- and then we'd need to find parking, which would cost & then the long wait to be called into doctors' inner sanctum, more waiting & then the doctors (who were/are great) were often over-scheduled... so not much face time. (The skimpy face time didn't change during zoom appts)PS: --- I subtracted one star from UC Davis clinic (located on Covell) because the staff at 2nd floor reception area need to be a little kinder, a little less in a hurray when checking a patient in--- but most importantly? They'd benefit from remembering that gossip about others in the same office isn't appropriate (especially when patients can hear them). Maybe they're understaffed and thus stressed out... ok, I get it. So that means, management needs to step up to the plate and hire more people.

I am not satisfied with the services of this clinic: (1) it is not well staffed with experience doctors, (ii) there is not a well- coordinated doctor-patient connection, communication, or follow ups, (iii) not easy to make a same-day appointment. Also, there is no after-hours service. This clinic is very limited in offering services beyond the routine basic care and tests. It needs improvements organizationally, staffing of more and better experienced providers, and after-hour/ urgent care.

I've been seeing Dr. Glassberg for my OB during my pregnancy and she has been fantastic. It's been a great experience and all is going well.
