Great spot at the Del Mar Plaza. The salon been here for 32 years; and just recently was taken over by Sonya who’s been working here for 15 years from Haim the original owner.

I’ve been a client of Ana for the past 4 years. I call her my favorite magician cause somehow she always exceeds my expectations from the color, to the cut and style. There’s been a numerous occasions that I wasn’t even sure what I want in terms of my hair and she’ll come up an idea and work her magic and I always love the results. Highly recommend Haim Salon and Ana.

Ive been going to Ana at Haim for years and she is the only colorist I trust. When i lived in NY, I would fly back because she is too good. I like my natural highlights/glow.

This is a review on what happened to my cousin. She called me in tears over her hair & sent me pictures of what she asked for & her end results. She said she showed pictures which I will attach and said she wanted her cut hitting top of her shoulders and a blunt cut. She said she wanted 1 length & no layers. She also was considering bangs but the hairstylist or should I call the person the butcher talked her out of bangs, thank goodness! I can't imagine how bad she would have looked if the butcher cut bangs. Well my cousin didn't get anything close to what she asked for. 2 days later my cousin went back to see if the butcher could try to fix the hair in which she called "choppy" but her hair was so short there wasn't much the butcher could do. My cousin isn't that high maintenance & is easy going. She shaved her hair before so nothing bothers her too much. I think what bothered her so much was she said she was very clear in asking what she wanted & her likes & dislikes. Plus we were having a family reunion that coming Saturday for our Tia's 90th birthday party. She hasn't seen family in years due to covid & her mom just died so she's been out of touch for awhile. I didn't think she looked that bad but she absolutely hated her hair. She said the butcher was kind in trying to fix what she could but nothing really could be done. She said what bothered her most was she showed pictures & when she went back the butchered acted as if she was showing her different pictures. My cousin always prefers the same easy blunt cut so she knows what she likes & what she got was just extremely sad coming from a so called professional. She didn't tell me the name of the butcher but I feel bad because my cousin even tipped them. My cousin did say they tried to refund her the money but she didn't take it, she was so uncomfortable & just wanted to get out of there before she started crying. My cousin lost money not only from the haircut but when she's not working she's not getting paid & she had to go back to try to fix the disaster a second day. After seeing her hair I would not recommend this salon. The pictures of my cousin's hair is after they so- called "fixed" her hair. My cousin didn't take any pictures after the 1st visit to the butcher. I can't imagine what it looked like if the pictures shown here are the "fixed" cut.

I had a lovely experience with Maria who I had the pleasure of spending the day with recently. I came in and we sat down and I talked to her about my hair goals and welcomed her best advice. I'm 4 months postpartum and my hair needed some drastic change, from the intense fallout and damage my hair was in desperate need of some TLC. Maria did such an amazing job getting my hair back to healthy, and making this new mom feel put together again.

First time coming to Haim Salon and was such a great experience. I saw Maria, she did an amazing cut and color. It was a complete color transformation for me. Maria was very kind, letting me know about all the steps she was doing. The shampoo massage was just what I needed, totally relaxed. Everyone was so nice, talented & very professional. Beautiful surroundings in Del Mar. The salon is a hidden gem.

I have never colored my hair before. I went on the advice of my G/F, who had just done a fabulous cut and color here. It turned out great! The staff was welcoming and understanding. I will be coming back regularly.

This was my first time coming to Haim Salon for a hair cut and I LOVE IT. Raine did an amazing job with capturing what I wanted in a hair cut and she exceeded my expectations. She was super kind the whole time and cut my hair in a way that suits my face. If you're looking for a hair salon in the area I would definitely recommend coming to Raine!

Today was my first time at Haim Salon and it was so great! Courtney was my stylist and she was amazing!! She made me feel so welcome and was so easy to talk too. She listened to exactly what I was hoping for with my cut and color. I am obsessed with my new cut and color. I will definitely be coming back!!

I've been going to this salon for 14yrs, They all are really friendly and inviting. I see the stylist teaching and educating the younger assistants which is really awesome! They listen, care and deliver on all expectations! Highly recommend!

Got my hair and makeup done here for 300 dollars for an event. They did not wash or dry the hair and curls in my hair fell before I even got home and had to be completely redone. My hair typically holds a curl for 3 days minimum. I wasn’t paying attention to whether or not she used hair spray but the curling was a total waste of time and money. The makeup turned out well.
