One of the banker is so rude. I hope they can fix the problem of the wire transfer last week. The banker just loud to me " it's my fault because I have signed it" . I was so sad after I went there. I will never go to this branch!!!

I have to say, I never had an opinion on Chase one way or the other. My 92 year old mother chose to bank with them over 10 years ago. i was also on the account. Hard enough my mom passed on July 20, grieving and planning her funeral was all consuming. On July 30th, the morning of my mothers funeral, I get an overdraft alert. What?!? I called ON MY WAY TO THE SERVICE as I was so concerned she'd had some sort of fraud. No, that was not the case. Chase froze the account by putting a debit on the account for 99,999,999.99 on the account t. What? I' e always been on this account and have fed this account for years. Fast forward, today I go in after work at 4:50 with the required death certificate, only to be told that they cannot help me. What? Why? Because they were already closing up and this particular transaction would take 40 mins and they pointed out it was 4:52 and they close at 5:00. I asked if I left the death certificate if they could do what needed to be done and I could come in to sign the necessary paperwork. They said no, I needed to be there. They then told me I would need to make an appointment and that there was only one "banker" there tomorrow (Saturday) and he was overbooked. I would NEVER EVER recommend the branch at Via De La Valle. Hopefully this gets done on Monday and I will NEVER darken their door again.

I now believe to qualify for a job at the Chase bank at the Via De La Valle branch you must be rude, sarcastic, and treat the customers like dirt. Despite's of being a private client for decades, I can't believe how unprofessional and rude most of employees are, although this branch seems not to keep their employees for more then a few months at a time.

Had a very poor experience with the Manager/VP at this Chase location. She was so rude and arrogant. Hard to believe she has a job at all.

How is this branch STILL closed? I am trying to access my safety deposit box for which they are offering limited appointments on Tues and Thurs, neither of which I can make due to my work schedule.

I forgot to yelp this a month ago but it really bothered me that I was denied the ability to deposit a check here. I had some lady in the evening behind the counter tell me that they have been getting a lot of fraudulent checks lately. I'm staring at her like... okay. She told me I should go to a different bank to confirm that it's a legitimate check. I showed her receipts on my phone about it being a legitimate check and she still kept making excuses on going to a different bank. But it's like.. lady it's a check. Don't you have a protocol for this..? Ended going to a different chase bank where I was able to get it deposited.

If I could put ZERO stars, I would. JPMorgan Chase has deceptive and unethical practices. We financed our car loan and when we hit a cash flow issue, we asked to defer payments for a few months until our cash flow (i.e. employment) picked up, so we wouldn't be struggling to make our payments. However, instead of assisting (it was a question we asked when we purchased), they said they could not do this at the time. Additionally, Christopher L434745 not only had poor telephone skills in properly communicating (difficult to decipher his slurred /mumbled responses), he lacked the integrity of clear and transparent responses and kept deferring to a standard "the extension is not available at this time" but would not state why or how we could find out, why. Does Chase just want our vehicle to re-sell? We will pay for it and have made ALL of our payments, timely for nearly a year; we just asked about an out of work extension in order to manage our finances like responsible citizens. Why is Chase wanting to renege and basically lie about what they promised in the first place? BAD bank. BAD customer service. I will NEVER work with them in future. Once we pay off our loan, why deal with banks that don't have customers best interests?

Worst bank contender here! went there to cash a check that had my correct name clearly written on it. was told by a unfriendly teller "sorry the check does not include your middle name". never in my life have i received a check that has my middle name written on it! are you serious? i would not deal with these people if it was the bank on earth.

Terrible terrible terrible. Unfortunately for Chase clients, their banking needs do not operate on a Monday to Friday schedule but their global financial institution does. Well, that's not true. They are more than willing to erroneously flag my account for fraud (side note: while missing the actual fraud occurring several thousands of miles away) on a Saturday afternoon while I am trying to operate my business but their local branches and call centers are completely understaffed, undertrained and uninterested in helping. Igor was his name - apparently holding some supervisory role in this branch let me know almost immediately that my issues as a private client and business client with the bank were much less important than a line of two guests at the teller station. He hardly let me finish my first sentence describing my troubles (my accounts were locked for "suspected fraud" during totally legitimate transactions and therefore I could not operate my business in front of clients) and said he would call another local branch who had a higher-ranking manager on duty that could help. He made a call, who the heck knows who he talked to, he said "ok, Dick DeSola is waiting for you at our branch across town." Spoiler alert: Dick DeSola is underqualified and does not have authority to solve these types of issues so our friend Igor obviously called the wrong person. Dick D. was never notified of our visit and when we arrived was surprised and 100% ineffective and unable to help. Punchline: still have a block on my card - been waiting on hold with the call center for 45 min. Silver lining: enough down time to write a completely honest review about a terrible business.

I stopped in to cash a Chase check. Actually two of them. They charge $8 per check! $16. All this in a terribly aged bank after standing in line because of only two tellers. Congratulations Chase, here's your 1 star. I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone.

I'm not sure if I feel more or less save here than other Chase banks that have the bullet proof glass. Which btw rarely goes to the ceiling and we all know those ceiling tiles aint keeping no one from getting in, but that's none of my business (queue Kermit meme) I know Chase is still implementing their smart ATM's which dispense 1's, 5's, 10's, 20's and 100's. That's really the only reason I'll come here is to get smaller bills than 20's. Service is good albeit a little slow, seriously I've been with Wamu and now Chase for 10+ years, I'm in and out of most Chase bank locations in 2 minutes from handing them the slip, but here it's like they've never used a keyboard or 10 key before. Oh well. I'm at least smart enough to write it all down for even the most lamen of tellers. They probably aren't used to typing in so many commas and zero's (the 1st comma is easy the 2nd one is hard). Holla. I do like the garden center and the drive up ATM, though there is only 1 on the outside of the branch. I also like the ash tray/trash can and seating right nearby, though no shade or privacy glass.

I have to say, this is a very nice building, and more importantly, the staff at this location are also nice and helpful. I needed to reload my quarters tube, and get my hands on some Benjamins. A very big and buff guy tended to my requirements. Very efficient, and quite helpful. Although visiting an ATM would have some miles and minutes, it is important these days to visit with a teller, inside the branch. Personal banking with those you trust. Chase what matters, right?

Just had an amazing experience with Anthony Vetturelli, private client banker at the Del Mar Chase location. He just was a pleasure to work with and helped me navigate some fraud activity in a business account. Great customer service! Thank you, Anthony!!

I love this Chase. There is never anyone in it. I usually never go in the bank unless I need to get to my Safe Deposit. But the tellers are friendly and so helpful. You never wait which is a great thing. It's so quiet in there, you could hear a pin drop. Parking is abundant and there is a drive thru atm if you don't want to get out of your car. What more can you want??
