listen, it's not really about the actual Whole Foods experience but more so about the location of the parking structure of this Whole Foods location. What should be a 5 to 10 minute experience ends up being 30 minutes or more trying to get into the parking lot is a nightmare and then actually trying to find a parking spot at any time of any day is absolutely impossible to the point where I end up having to park in the designated grocery pick up or Amazon flex spots. Otherwise I would just have to leave and leaving in and of itself takes another 10 minutes with all the people backing up in the unreasonably tiny parking lot. Not to mention the actual experience inside the store, just as the isles in the parking spots are much too small to suit the amount of food and the amount of business that wants to enter Whole Foods. The actual interior of Whole Foods is also extremely small, unreasonably small in fact, you can't go more than 6 feet without bumping elbow to elbow with any one of the hundred robots to occupy the store at any time, trying to get out of the store is another nightmare as the cashiers are excellent at their job, and really friendly the lines are far too long and far too confusing, and somehow the self checkout area is always a nightmare. Something is always going wrong. It's confusing it's upsetting and then, just as you are finally finished getting parts getting your groceries and leaving you have to face this unbelievably small parking lot on its way out. Were you experienced bumper to bumper traffic going stop to start every two seconds until you finally escape this spot don't even think about turning right because if you're trying to get into Solana Beach from this area you will experience an excruciatingly long 20 minutes of traffic at any time any day. I am reading this at 10:30 AM on a nice Tuesday morning and I can assure you that I will never be attending this Whole Foods again. This is something that city planners need to consider when they're putting up new stores in new locations. This is San Diego this is a New York City or Los Angeles and there is no reason that we should see such a long excruciating experience at a nice and needed store at Whole Foods.

It's not a big store, considering the size of other Whole Foods. The biggest one I've been to is in Virginia, where it's pretty much the size of a Costco. But considering all the other Whole Foods I've been to in California, this is one of the smaller ones I think. However they seem to have most of everything I need. The one thing that I did find exciting is the Chia Pudding bar. I've actually never seen one before. Overalll, it's a bit cramped. I didn't get a chance to spend too much time there since I was in a time crunch. I hope to go back and walk every aisle more. My only complaint is that it's so damn far. San Diego needs more Whole Foods. I moved to SD from Pasadena, where there were 2 Whole Foods in that one city alone. I just wish they opened one more inland, towards the Poway area.

Great Whole Foods location. Easily accessible off the 5, although parking can get a little tricky. They do have a parking garage but I usually just circle once or twice and park in front. Store is well organized and clean, and staff is very friendly. Great smoothie bar as well

For a Whole Foods, in La Jolla, you'd think the experience will be supreme. Wrong! At least for my husband and I. We came in on a Sunday morning and it was packed. The prices are outrageous for meats especially... but I get it, it is Whole Foods. While inside, my husband was approached by a religious study man who took maybe a good 15 min preaching to him. And in the parking lot there was an elder woman asking for money and groceries. There are plenty of broken fridge handles and plenty of rude employees who won't say "excuse me" or at least "move". They'll go in front of you trying to shop for online orders. Lastly, I bought "freshly packed" pomegranates and when I got home I took a handful in before realizing they were slimy and expired... they tasted like acrylic paint. The taste was awful! I read the date and yup, they were packed the same day we bought them (25th). $10 wasted on a tiny bit of pomegranate. Never again.

I had to stay in San Diego area for 6 weeks while girlfriend had medical procedures done, so this place was an absolute life saver. Great selection of pizzas, hot foods, salads, soups, and desserts. It is a huge store and I wish I had a kitchen to cook in as I found so many items that looked so good. But since I was restricted to a hotel room, I found plenty of options to buy, saving me a ton of money from eating out all the time.

GREAT STORE ! On Saturday my wife and I were on our way home to Irvine after an overnight stay in San Diego. Having shopped at this store for over 7 years when we lived in Solana Beach until recently we dropped in to pick up a few items. First up we ran into our good friend Justin who is now on the upper management team much to his credit....a great guy ! My wife zipped around grabbing fresh produce...yellow onions, papaya, ginger root, garlic, white peach, loose carrots, green asparagus, white mushrooms, bananas and baby bok choy. Throw in a large lactaid 2% reduced fat milk, 2 x owyn plant based shakes, 1x doz eggs and a pack of la panzanella mini croccatini ( crackers ). Fast efficient service at the checkout !NOTE - Of course with over 22 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics in 2022 I can tell you what is great !

On a Saturday afternoon, it was crowded both inside and in parking area. But it was okay. Good selection of produce and prepared foods. Similar to my Whole Foods in Roseville, CA. Curried Chicken Salad was excellent. Cook some rice, and mix in the Curried Chicken Salad for a great dinner. Cherries in the produce section are delicious. Fresh bread. Pretty easy to check out.

A little crammed compared to other Whole Foods but still the same experience. As others have mentioned I would recommend the back parking structure. Everything is clean and well sorted as is standard for Whole Foods. Good location just a little crammed

I enjoy shopping at this Whole Foods. They have a great selection of just about all groceries and some are unique items you can only get there. Fruit and veggies are always fresh. You can also get a nice meal here.

I love Whole Foods! It can definitely be pricey, but they have some good sales from time to time (just keep an eye out!). I often get their smoothies and frequent their hot food corner. For Amazon Prime members, sometimes they have a $5 special for their vegetarian tempeh sandwich which is SO good!! (Add mustard, arugula, and picklessss)All of the stuff here is high quality (and often times better tasting) and I feel good about feeding it to my family! Don't get the chicken though. The chicken is so expensive here

Located just the other side of the freeway from Winners Circle Resort, we had many occasions to stop in and shop at this Whole Foods Market. The name of this shopping center is Flower Hill Promenade. During these pandemic days, the wonderful self-serve buffet counter is closed. We look forward (as does everyone else) when things return to normal.
