“Was in Monterey a few days for a wedding. Stayed along Pacific Avenue and this lil market was my go to for all those cravings and last minute needs. A lighter, beer, wine bourbon, water and an Italian meat deli sandwich. The sando hit the spot after days of chowder, seafood and steaks. An Italian meat sandwich stacked high between a fresh sourdough roll answered the craving. Toss in an Yerbamate, bag of TacoWorks and Monterey Bay view and it was a perfect SUNday FUNday. I have a thing for supporting small business and I can recommend this lil corner street market for good selection of goods. Super friendly staff too. Cheers.”

“Stopped here for a pint and food. We split an order of 2 pieces of fish, a banger, and chips. I had the Corkscrew (closest beer to an ESB) and a 1066 Pale Ale. Both were quite tasty. The ceiling was covered with beer steins from their beer club. Enjoyed our visit. There is an outdoor patio, but it was too cold to sit outside.”

“Wow how have I never been in here. They have so much liquor in this place it's practically pouring out of the store. Been going for their good selection of soft drinks and chips for those chest days. The owner at the counter is super sweet and always has a smile on her face. The place seems dark but it could be because the town is dark due to no power lol. Overall it's a good place to have nearby.”

“INCREDIBLE service for weddings and events. George opened Drinkie's in the last 1.5 years and his service is the best in the Carmel area. If you're getting married at any Monterey peninsula venue I highly recommend George and Drinkie's for all liquor/beer/wine needs. He is extremely responsive over call or text and could put together huge orders for 200+ people with just a day or two notice. He'll also deliver it directly to your venue and recommend quantities. Much cheaper than paying for a vendor to do an open bar package if your venue allows it, and much more customization for the exact options you put on your bar. 10/10”
“More casual than romantic, but we came in to wine down & rest. Don't worry on having to come in dressy, the tastings were delicious & bottles are affordable, we bought one that was a Chaucer's mead. Great spot to kick back & relax if you've been walking a while. Better to visit with your spouse or a friend, the spot is small & cozy!”
“Basic liquor store. I guess they have adult films in back. I couldn't help but ask, but I didn't check them out so I can't review that. Otherwise they're fine, but not remarkable. They get an extra star for faithfully and consistently being open until midnight 7 days a week.”

“Valnizza's Deli and Market is a well known Monterey business recommended by many area locals. The business is clean and customer service is friendly. Sandwiches are good and I recommend the pastrami sandwich. There's also many other goodies available at the deli including a few hot food items. This is definitely a good place to grab a bite to eat that is reasonably priced and offers good value and tasty food.”

“Today, I walked over to the floral department at Carmel Safeway and was cheerfully greeted by Aurora and asked if I needed help with anything. I have never been acknowledged before while floral shopping, so I felt extremely welcomed. Aurora helped me pick out a couple of small plants and a balloon for a friend's birthday. I can be pretty indecisive, but she helped so much by asking me the right questions and helping me pick the healthiest looking flowers. Her enthusiasm for helping me find the right gift was extremely appreciated. She went above and beyond with her customer service, and I will not need to think twice before coming back next time I need any plants or flowers, and I will be recommending this Safeway's floral department to everyone I know! Thank you Aurora!!”

“Store looks nice, but one gentleman behind the counter was rude to my wife. She was going to ask for three coffees and as she was placing the order he would interrupt her after every item to tell her the total price, as if to say he wanted her to finish. She wasn't done, and he wasn't apologetic. Took away from the overall pleasantness of the market.Parking: There is no parking associated with the market. Park in other available areas and must walk here.”
