EV Rental - don't do it!! Picked up my Mach E and was excited about driving it, but the thrill soon turned to absolute frustration very quickly. When I got home I went to charge the vehicle but there was no cord so I called Avis. The agent told me that per policy THEY DON'T PROVIDE CHARGERS!!! So I asked how I'm supposed to charge it and they told me at a station. Have you tried to find an available charging station lately? I have, and it's at best inconvenient and at worst not possible. They're all taken or not in service so I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find an available charging station so I could use the car I paid to rent. My wife had to drive it to work so she tried to charge there, but it was the same story. All were in use all day. I had to wait until after 10 pm that night for a station, then I had to sit there for 3 hours while it charged. I could have spent that time at home if Avis would have just given me a damn charger. Worst rental experience of my life and I will never ever, ever do it again. Special thanks to the management boneheads at Avis that made this policy. Their heads were clearly shoved somewhere where they don't belong when they made this policy decision.

Reason I'm putting 3 stars has nothing to do with the stuff but the car was horrible experience.GOING EV.this EV should be for a local resident, someone who has thier car in the shop. Unfortunately they ran out of gas vehicle so I had to take a EV. Should of got a discount.First time driving one.Horrible experience ?: downloading alot of Apps to find a charging station.2nd is jumping over 3 stations to Finally finding one.3rd the waste of time waiting to charge4th NO FREAKING HEAT IN THE CAR. only the heat seat kept me warm on the rd but I freeze while charging5th waste of time trying to bring back the car with at least 83% . Why doesn't Avis have a charging station ? at no charge.Took the car over the road. Was not happy wasting 2hrs trouble shooting charging station each time I ran low on energy.$125.00 around trip from LA to Vegas. 6hrs total wasted chargingThis totally made me sure to never buy a EV. If I do, it better have a 1,000 mile rangeOrBetter be a Tesla because they are setup already across America.Not easy for FORD, CHEVY, BMW , MERCEDES to find a fast super charging station

The rental agent gave me a car that smelled horrible. I thought it just needed to be aired out, but even then the smell wouldn’t go away. Once I took it home, I unfolded the 3rd row seats and noticed it was full of mold (picture attached). I brought it back the following AM, and he told me he would “put a comment in the system” and I could proceed to keep the car and drop it off at LAX. He told me he got the car from LAX like this (not true bc I saw the rental agreement inside the car from the previous renter just 1 day ago with starting and ending locations here), so he tried to use that reason for me to bring it back. I had to challenge him that this is all unacceptable before he agreed to exchange the car for me.He knew I had a one-way rental to LAX so wanted to use me to get rid of the car and even lied to me when I challenged him. This is totally unethical behavior considering I paid for a rental car. Not to mention questionable cleaning between rentals.President’s club member here. No upgrade benefits.Avoid this location if at all possible.

Reserve the full size vehicle ahead 3 weeks, after got to the place told me there is no car only truck and need to pay more.

I rented a Tesla and my bud a Corolla cuz I own my own Tesla but me and my friend both where dealing with slim tires that where loosing air every day then as responsible as I normally am I charged the car over the 70% as agreed then a month later charged me another $65 claiming I left it lower than that, Avis Suuuuucks! I’m staying away from Avis I wouldn’t get near them with a 20 inch pole… oh… and when I RESERVED a long range model 3 on the website when I arrived they only had standard range… like why in the hell would it ask me on the website if they don’t have any, it’s ridiculous! And to finish it off costumer service didn’t sound that pleasant. AVOID AVIS!!!

Avis Diamond Bar provided an excellent experience. They had the three-row vehicle that I needed, and I secured the best rate through Expedia. The woman at the counter who handled the car pick-up was helpful and courteous. While the return process was efficient, the man handling the return didn't engage at all (he didn't even look at me). Despite this minor interaction, my overall experience with Avis Diamond Bar was great.

If I could give more stars I would . The young lady was nice over the phone one of the guys his name starts with a R he was less then polite but the manager was absolutely kind and willing to find the best deal for his customers . I had an issue with a car and he took care of it . Without saying to much it wasn't what he did but more so he treated me with respect and kindness . Something that now days is hard to find . You know the saying " that person was such a nice person he would give u his shirt off his own back" Well he actually did that for me while I had a health issue and I needed a shirt and he gave me his. And it was fresh lol so I had to post this because I learned if we allow ourselves to not take things negatively so quickly those same people you may have thought were mean cause be the people God uses to bless u

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. Extremely rude people work here and could not care less about customer service or maintaining customers for the long term. I guess they're so busy, it doesn't matter to them.

I rented a car here for a one-way rental to the airport, they gave me the dirtiest beat up car they had because they knew it wasn’t coming back. Two weeks later, the airport wanted to charge me $125 for pet cleaning fees I don’t even own any pets and I drove to the airport, within one hour of picking up the rental

Rented at Chicago o hare preferred membership so went straight to the assigned car , contract was for 2 days however I returned the car after less than 24 hours, I was greeted by an employee and told I would soon get a receipt, after 24 hours no receipt I called they said I had to wait 48 hours, after 48 hours I was told I had to wait another 5 days , when I finally got the bill it was grossly overpriced I was charged $110 almost the same amount as my 2 day contract , mileage driven 50 miles was incorrect, return time noon was incorrect I returned it earlier, fueling service was charged even though I filled the car with almost 6 gallons, calls to Avis were worthless they refused to help just delay tactics , I requested a supervisor call that was refused. In this digital age it is concerning that you don’t get a receipt at the time the car is checked in and cleared. Instead someone else drives the car out of the return area and after that they will send a receipt , though in my case 4 days later. In the past I was given a printed receipt when I returned the vehicle that is much more satisfactory than currently getting a receipt if all goes well an hour after the rental when you are boarding or close to boarding a flight and unable to dispute and mistakes on your bill. Avis once had very good service sadly now they avoid providing any help whatsoever. This is a preferred member goodness knows what happens to a non member.

They close very early (5pm) and they don't allow you to drop off the car after hours.

The Avis staff were friendly and expedient. They never tried to sell me more than i needed but they did suggest the safest options as I did tell them I was traveling alone. the car was perfect and there were no hidden charges on my final bill. Thank you Diamond Bar Avis!
