“I'll be honest. I was really skeptical of using MTH in the beginning due to some of the negative reviews online. I was already working with several mortgage lenders, but MTH came in with a really good closing costs credit as I was buying a Meritage home. Whilst their rate was a tad higher (.15%), for the amount I was borrowing it made little difference. My other lenders even suggested going for MTH because of that closing credit. Now maybe I just got lucky, but my experience with MTH was great. I'm wondering if a lot of the bad reviews were bad because of individual staff issues in the past. Anyway, i had a very positive experience. I dealt with Jennifer Kelly. She is absolutely superb. She was super responsive by email and phone at any time of day and even night. I was pushing for a very quick close and Jennifer made it happen. Becuase I have only lived in the US for a few years, there were some complications and challenges along the way. Jennifer made it work, worked tirelessly for me and helped me every step of the way. All in all, thoroughly impressed with MTH and Jennifer. If you are buying a Meritage home and have a good offer with MTH, go with it.”

Their fraud department is outstanding I had an unusual charge on my account that immediately got flagged and within minutes of it happening I received a phone call from a representative asking if I had made those charges. They immediately canceled the card and issued me a new one. On a side note if you go to any branch they will replace you card on the spot so you don't have to wait seven to ten business days for it to be sent in the mail. Staff is very friendly and helpful would highly recommend doing banking business here.”
