One of the worst companies yet to still be operating. To begin products here are outrageously overpriced! You get taxed ofc and still get charged a fee to restock. Honestly if I could rate this piece of sh*** 0 stars I WOULD!!!

Great service and great store. Nice staff all around. Also the store is pretty clean on a bonus point too the restrooms are pretty clean as well. The restrooms here are spacious as well! This store has a plethora of options when it comes to electronic appliances from new to refurbished. Thank you Best Buy!

We knew exactly what we wanted to get when we decided to come here. The place is big so when we walked in, I asked someone up front where I could find what I needed. He directed us to the rear of the store. After looking for a minute or so, I asked someone else where, specifically, I could find what we needed. Same thing, he directed us to the exact aisle. There were so many choices that I ended up asking a third person for exactly what we needed. We were out of there pretty quick. When we got back, every item we purchased worked worked perfectly.

Went today 2/13/24. To return a 43inch t.v. . Was directed to wrong line by employee while holding the T.V. got into the other line and never was told to make an appointment was totally ignored. Long story short paid off my account closed my credit. . Honestly was embarrassed. I worked retail and I can surely say they gave a flying you know what. Sad my credit was increased to 5000 and was about to buy appliances. . Anyways FuC that store .

I can definitely understand the bad reviews here, but since I was here to simply pick up an order, I can't really give that bad a rating. However, I can definitely sympathize with the lack of customer service, at least while I was browsing around. I had a $5 promotional certificate that was randomly given to me out of the blue, and I was trying to look up Best Buy's deals, which can alter daily. I did find a deal on a product that I was interested in, but as it turns out, they didn't have any in stock at the Best Buy in Lakewood! However, they did have a few left in stock at this Best Buy in Downey Landing on the east side of Lakewood Blvd north of Imperial. I was also planning to eat lunch in the same shopping center, so I was able to do two things at once, in reference to that Travis Kelce Pfizer commercial. I placed my order online for in store pickup with the promise that it would be ready in an hour. Sure enough, within that hour, I got an email saying my order was ready for pickup and it would be held there for 6 days. The email says that if you can't pick up your order by then, they will cancel your order and refund you, but you can also request an extension if need be, something I'd recommend doing if you used a promotional certificate as I don't think it would be refunded alongside your payment. In addition to an email, I got a text saying that my order was ready for pickup. Both forms of communication directed me to tap the "I'm here and in line" link to signify my presence inside the store. The link from the text got me to the sign in page, but the link from the email directed me to the pickup page. I'm not sure how that happened, and I'm sure I'd get a different result were I to place a future order, but the pickup page does have a barcode that the employee needs to scan first. He also asked to see my ID to confirm I was the correct person to pick up the order. The process was seamless until the end when he was about to walk away after scanning out my order. I wanted to ask him about the return policy, and he tried to answer while walking away. His voice kept trailing off, so I asked him to clarify a couple of times. That was kind of annoying, but other than that, his service was fine. I wish he did a better job of finishing, though. The online order pickup was right next to the exit, so I went back to my car to drop off my order and decided to come in to explore the rest of the store. I liked how the interior looked with all merchandise in good condition, but I didn't like how there weren't as many employees about to help out if needed. As an example, I was taking a look in the appliances section, and I only saw one employee there. He seemed to be busy over the phone or a walkie talkie, but it gave me the impression that help isn't readily available at this Best Buy. I continued browsing through the appliances section, even getting distracted by doing a few Google searches on a fridge. I heard someone offering help to someone in my direction, but he was looking at another customer instead. Even in other parts of the store, nobody offered to help, which didn't really bug me since I wasn't planning to get anything else. However, if I was, it would have left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure I'd go as far to stay this Best Buy is short-staffed, but don't be surprised to wait some time for an associate to help you if needed. Also, during my visit, there was an annoying alarm that kept sounding somewhere in the store. It wasn't screechingly loud like a banshee, but if you were nearby, it could disrupt your experience and decision making on what to get. In the far corner of the store, there are a couple of rooms for Home Audio, but the doors were closed when I went. I don't know if you can only go in there with an associate, but I didn't bother to find out. The manager Jorge took care of us and we are so grateful. We had ordered a camera and equipment for it online for Christmas and for whatever reason, Bestbuy.com kept cancelling every order stating items were "out of stock" and "couldn't verify payment" which was complete BS. We decided to go to the Downey location in person to see if anyone could help and spoke to Jorge and told him our problems with our online order and he apologized and empathized with us and told us he could help us. He got an associate, Roy, to help us out. To make a long story short, we had to come back to the store 3 times because the online order wouldn't fall off from the account so we had to wait. But when we finally came back the 3rd time, Jorge and Roy had honored the Christmas sale prices and the finance offer! They went outta their way to satisfy us even when the prior online order wasn't their fault! Thank you Jorge and Roy for going above and beyond for your customer service!

Went in for a fridge and Kebler took his time answering the questions we had. Made the process seamless. Then he went beyond when he saw me looking at TV and soundbars with my kids. He walked over explained the pixelated differences in the Sony televisions along with the promos that came with the soundbars even after they closed on a Friday night. Shout out to Kebler appreciate you sir and God bless.

I visited the Best Buy store in Lakewood to purchase an Oculus. Before arriving, it was 8:15 pm. Prior to my visit, I called the Lakewood Best Buy Google phone number, and the representative advised me to go to the store, price match the item, and pay through PayPal after sending the link. He assured me that I could then pick up the item.However, upon arriving at the store, the staff informed me that they no longer use the PayPal link system, and even if I were to place the order online, I wouldn't be able to pick it up the same day. Furthermore, they stated that they couldn't honor the price match, which contradicted what the customer service representative had told me on the phone.I spent approximately 30 minutes on the call with customer service, and I had to drive 30 minutes to the store. Additionally, I waited in the checkout line for 25 minutes. Unfortunately, I had to leave the store empty-handed. To add to the frustration, the person at the register treated me with suspicion and even scrutinized my receipt.I've been a satisfied customer of Best Buy in the past, but this incident has left me extremely dissatisfied. On the same day, I ended up making my purchase from Target instead.I feel compelled to share this experience and express my disappointment with the customer service and miscommunication at the store. I will be posting a review on Google to inform others about my encounter.

Please try to avoid this store if you need some sort of help from their staff. I walked in trying to get info on upgrading a cell phone & had the displeasure of being ignored by Jorge at the cell phone center. I'm not even sure if you can consider him rude since he just basically ignored me after have the absolute most brief conversation with me then moving to a computer on the opposite end of me to type & tap on a computer. I'm really steamed because he surprisingly was able to offer fantastic customer service to a young woman who needed help with a cell phone case. Very interested in her issue & was capable of asking questions to make sure she got what she needed but thankfully he ended that real quick so he could get back to tapping on his computer & back to ignoring me. Unfortunately all the other associates around were too busy setting up some merchandise in the center aisle so they could ignore customers as well.Kinda bummed to see a store that was once pretty good go to absolute garbage like, I tried contacting someone online to address this issue but they told me I had to reach out to the store myself since they couldn't possibly solve the issue of their own piss poor management I guess.

I took my r5 and 100mm-500mm lens in today because both were acting up. To my surprise, both are under warranty, and both are replaced with new ones. Lisa was extremely helpful and the absolute best customer service one could ever ask for. Downy Best Buy is where I buy all my canon gear, and this is just one reason why Downy Best Buy is the best.
