My wife and I have been coming to Marie Callender's for many years we enjoy the food they serve it's very good it feel like everything is made from scratch. Their pies and muffins and cookies are probably the best and made from scratch and made daily. The service us very good and the staff is very friendly. We have have been to different Marie Callender for many especially this one this our first time the one in Whittier.

I've visited other branch before and wasn't impressed. I finally decided to visit this location and i was NOT disappointed. Service was great and that potpie was delicious. I wish I remembered our server's name; she was attentive and provided excellent service. I think her name begins with "M." I will definitely return to this location.

. . . really enjoyed eating here, though I haven't been for many years. The lunch special Shepherds Pie was great, and incl. a Caesars Salad, generous fresh cornbread, as well as a slice of pie, - all for a reasonable price.

Came for a quick brunch, the wonderful service started as soon as we entered and we're seated promptly. Our server was Maricela and she was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She double checked our orders and ensured the special requests came as ordered. The food was brought quickly and was pretty good. Great meal all around.

The food was amazing! We love their pot pies. I gave them 1 star less because this time I had a waitress who was very nice and sweet but she did forget to give us a pie and we waited quite a while after finishing our meals. It was my 3 kids n I, so maybe she assumed I was a single mother who wouldn't tip well. I asked for the pie to go, because she took so long, but then she brought us back 2 pies! In addition, she brought us 3 giant cookies which had us all so happy and I gave her a 20% tip! I'm happy she realized her mistake. After she rectified the situation I convinced myself I will return.

Haven't been here since prepandemic but the service has noticeably improved. It went from good to great. The food is always on point and our server Elizabeth made sure me and my mom had a great dinner.

Incredible value for breakfast.Came here for breakfast before work and was absolutely stunned by the value: enormous breakfast burrito with cornbread and coffee for less than a fast food combo. Restaurant was clean, service was quick and friendly, if you haven't stopped here for breakfast before, you are absolutely missing out

Our Waitress was Amazing. She gave us such great service and went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed.First she asked us if we'd like free corn bread to start. So Yummy then took our orders and let me tell you I ordered a parmesean sourdough meatloaf sandwich she offered us a grilled jalapeño to go with it. Wow talk about a flavors that make my mouth water and my taste buds come alive!! Yum,yum!!! AND IF YOU'VE NEVER HAD A RAISEN OATMEAL COOKIE FROM THERE IT'S A MUST HAVE!

There food is very tasty and delicious. But, I can never get the chef to overcook the vegetables that are included with the meals. They are always raw and I explain to the waitress each and every time I dine out that my vegetables need to slide off the knife and then it will be cooked. I always end up not eating them. The waitress are very attend to check on how the meal is and if I need anything. But, it was reported in Downey Newspaper that this Marie Callender's Restaurant will be closing it's doors on Sunday, July 21st. So come on & drive to have your last meal with them at this location.

This was one of the good ones. All of the classic ones were that had not changed throughout the years. I have many fond memories going here with my grandparents. It's sad that a lot of the younger generation does not understand or patronize this great old brand. The founder was such an innovator and inspiration for small business owners. The food here was always good, the pot pies, and of course the home made pies. It's a loss for Downey and the Southeast cities where this was the closest location to many families in those communities. So sad. I hope the company finds a new buyer for this chain before they let it go completely. It would be another awful end of an era.

It's finally closed!! 7/28/19. Service was horrible for maybe the last 10 years. The management sucked. No one ate there anymore. It sad that it closed but it was way over due! Mimis on firestone is probably the next place to close! Black bear diner is next door to the closed Marie Callender's! Eat there! Food is good, great portions and not pricy.
