Roy has always taken care of me. He is honest and does great work. I have been coming here for years. When he fixes the problem I never have had an issue again. It's done right the first time.

Per Angel A. review, as a customer, Rodrigo asked Angel to leave as an employee is to a fact that as a customer, Rodrigo was talking to me about the issues I was having with my car. I see Angel from the corner of my eye and just glanced at him for a quick minuet, and out of no where, he charged up against me wanting to fight me and was using verbal language. I didn't even know that kid and for him to charge up to me for absolute no reason. I did not even say a word to him and he wanted to fight me. All this happened in front of Rodrigo too. Rodrigo asked Angel to leave the shop permanently. Angel then started talking and using all this verbal language towards Rodrigo. Rodrigo did what any other shop owner would do, make him leave because he was getting violent towards me and I was a paying customer. Rodrigo handled the situation and not let it get out of hand. It could of been worse if Angel would of stayed, it would of gotten out of hand.

I've been meaning to leave a review about this place for a month now. I even went somewhere else and the mechanic told me that Roy swapped out illegal parts into my car just to make a buck. First of all, he took advantage of me probably because I'm a woman. Two, he told me he would have my car finished so I went down there and it wasn't finished so I had to leave and come back later that day, he had my car for a week. Three, I spent over a $1,000 just for the problem not to be fixed. He also had to tell me a story about his ex-girlfriend he had to breakup with due to her lack of motivation in life. Very creepy towards women, I was very uncomfortable, very unpleasant situation for a woman. Four, he drove my car for over 100 miles to see if it worked, he never told me he was going to do that and I never gave him to permission to do so. Five, I didn't have problems with my windows rolling up before but he messed up my windows so he had to fix them making it sound like he was giving me a deal to fix them. To be honest, this place sucks and it's sketchy. Don't go here. I never leave bad reviews but I was so frustrated with this place that I had to.

This guy Rodrigo is a habitual drunk arch, he works on customers cars while sipping on a 24 oz bud light. I worked for Roy's transmissions for several months. This guy shouldn't be trusted with the peoples vehicles. The reason why I'm posting this review as an ex employee for Rodrigo, he would lie to me about feature work. Example would be I was on call for Roy's transmission, I would call Rodrigo for work day to day and he would lie saying that he had work coming in, I would wait for the suppose work. Until I figured he was just lying to me. He tried draining my time by lying to me. Honestly his work ethics is poor. I asked Rodrigo to assist me at times for repairs on my car and he only would cause me more damages to my vehicle I assumed he just had something against me and I had to resign and look else where. He dehumanized me as an employee, someone should teach this guy a lesson and he should be reported.

I want to preface this review by saying I am not normally the kind of person to publicly complain when a mistake is made. But for this specific incident, I feel like I need to warn others about the mistake I made in trusting this shop with my car.I drive a 2006 Acura TL with a manual transmission. It would grind going into 4th gear and would often pop out of 3rd. Since those 2 gears are pretty necessary for normal road driving I decided to take the car to get serviced. I looked around and found this place (Roy's Transmission) which at the time was very highly rated (still has a 4.9 star as I type this). I was originally quoted $1500 for synchronizers, fluid, and labor. I purchased some other things to have put on, but what I would come to learn over the next 5 weeks that Roy had the car was that the transmission essentially needed to be rebuilt. So $2,800 and 5 weeks later, I get my car back only to find out that Roy didn't even do the work. He had outsourced it to a shop called AA Gears. So I paid Roy just shy of $800 for him to pull out my transmission case and reinstall it. Nothing else. I then had to pay AA $1,200 for the work that they did (which was to replace 3/5 as well as 5/6 gear shaft and synchros. They didn't even put new synchros on 1/2. I asked Roy to do all 6 synchronizers...).To make matters worse, Roy broke part of my car (see photos). Just before I took it to his shop, I had to replace the radiator. I did the work myself and it seated onto the radiator housing no problem. The retainer clips on top went on just fine and the hood closed. When I got my car back from Roy, the hood was not closed all the way. I thought that was odd, and maybe he just forgot to close it, but when I went to push it closed it would budged. I opened the hood to find the radiator was sitting several inches too high. The retainer clips on top were bent and being forced to hold the radiator in place. I took the front bumper off the car to find the radiator support completely smashed upward, and part of the radiator bent too. I called Roy to find out what had happened and was met with "I didn't do it" and "I do know what to tell you". I responded with the fact that he did know what was going on, since he had to physically drill holes into my supports to put the plastic splash guard back on the car (it would no longer fit due to being bent upwards). You can see all damage in the photos I have included. I do not make these accusations lightly. I know Roy was the one who did it because he admitted to no one else working on the car itself other than him and I installed the current radiator myself so I was fully aware of its condition before having the transmission work done. I don't understand how a shop with shady business practices and poor work quality has such a high rating. Roy never offered to partially refund me or anything else, so I am screwed here. Don't make the same mistake I did. Go somewhere else.

I've been bringing my car here for over six (6) years now to Roy and Henry and everytime I've brought my car into them they have fixed my car promptly and the right way the first time!;The costs were really way less than other competitors or dealers and shops;very affordable. The guys are very friendly and down to earth while also knowing their stuff! They will tell you what your car REALLY needs to have done on it, not extra stuff to waste your money on. Or they will tell you what stuff can wait to be fixed on your car etc. Trust me, this is the place to get your car checked out to know what it REALLY needs to be fixed on it!!!! Five stars all the way! In addition, I recently had issues with my transmission, among other things, and the guys were able to fix them for HALF the price of competitors that were charging way more and telling me to do more cap on my car that wasn't needed (Thousands of dollars literally from competitors )! My car is a 2005 Nissan with over 200,000 miles on it and Roy was able to get it up and running like brand new within a day, no BS! Now my car is running great with no issues like new! Thanks guys!
