The vet is really straight forward. He doesn't make you spend money on stuff he thinks you shouldn't, but it's your decision. Also very reasonable prices. Have been a customer for 10+ years.

We have taken our dog to Thomas for two years now. She got our dog spayed and have taken her for her shots and check ups. There is usually a wait and you cannot make an appointment. It is reasonably priced and the Vet is straight and to the point. He will let you know what you need and what you don't need. I wish more vet were like him.

Hard to find a good vet that cares more about the patient than the money. Look no further. I found him when my pet needed him most

Excellent place and really good service. The doctor might sound rude sometimes, but hey, he knows what he is doing. He also gave me really good advice on how to properly take care of my puppy.

we took our pet to thomas clinic due to some excessive breathing and abnormal behaviors and our normal clinic didn't have appointments available for several weeks. The vet looked at my pets labs and specifically told us that our pet didn't have diabetes when comparing my pets labs that we're taken two weeks apart even though her blood sugars were elevated at both appointments. she gave us antibiotics for a UTI and two months later my pet stIll wasn't getting better, so we scheduled a vet appointment at out usual clinic. turns out our pet does in fact have diabetes and ended up having to stay at the clinic for 5 days due to her blood sugar levels. this could have been prevented of Thomas Vet if they wouldn't have ruled out diabetes so quickly two months ago. We are frustrated with Thomas Clinic to say in the least.

My first and last visit. The "veterinarian" is unfit to practice on animals. He is under staffed. Does not have a certified vet technician helping him. His examination and surgery/Xray rooms are dirty (this is at the beginning of the day). The surgical equipment is laying out and appears unsterilized. The counters and floors are filthy (mind you, this is a pet hospital). The office looks dirty and dingy. He misdiagnosed my pet. Charged me for service he didn't provide. When I returned later that day with my pet to get the service he charged me for, he lied and said he did. I told him I was with my pet the entire time and he most definitely did not. He reimbursed me and yelled/screeched at the top of his lungs for me never to return and threatened to call the police. This happened in front of his customers. Unacceptable. Not only is he the most unprofessional "doctor" I have ever dealt with, he is a charlatan. Has anyone else had a lone tapeworm maggot crawling on their pet's back after he finised examining it? Well his office is so dirty and he has cats in the back office loose in a dirty room (maybe a boarding room), I don't doubt for one bit that the maggot must have fallen off of him to my pet. I give my pets flea medicine so it was shocking to see a single tapeworm maggot crawling on its back. I checked the carrier and blanket and it was clean. After having to go to another vet that same day, it was confirmed my pet did not have tapeworms and was dehydrated from not eating and drinking for several days. It was given subcutaneous fluid which leaves a large swollen hump on the top side of its shoulder/neck. This is the same service that the quack vet had charged me for but didn't do.That quack also told me my pet was strong and not dehydrated and gave it a b12 shot and a deworming shot, no fluids! Mr. quack put my pet's life in jeopardy! While talking to people in line, it seems they go to him because his prices appear to lower than other vets. They put up with his rudeness for a lower fee. Well his prices are practically the same elsewhere. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I have only been a few times due to having a schedule that usually leaves me unable to come back with a walk in place, but this is hands down the best vet clinic in downey that I've been to and will continue to try making the queue before going anywhere else. Staff are wonderful, friendly and genuinely care about the fur babies. Many thanks to everyone there who made our visits so easy and such a good experience. So rare to find these days! :)

Always bring our dogs here. Staff is kind. Vet is straight to the point. He's not the friendliest but that's okay. If rather have an honest vet that works with you with reasonable totals.

This is a very compassionate veterinarian. You can tell he really cares about animals. The only complaint I would have against the office is their hours have decreased and they practically no longer pick up the phone when you call which is extremely inconvenient. We've been going to Thomas vets for over 40 years and been through the different veterinarians and they've all been wonderful. I've made the mistake of going to other local vets in Downey and have had horrible experiences with overcharging with very crappy results. I always end up coming back to this vet I know he doesn't have the warmest bedside manner but he knows his business he works with confidence and I have never experienced an issue with an animal not being healed properly. He has always gone above and beyond for my animals for that I am eternally grateful. I just wish they would expand their hours and learn to answer their phones.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE !taking my furry baby here almost made me lose her . This veterinarian is a complete joke : he couldn't even correctly diagnose my puppy, he rushes the entire visit just to get you out of vet as soon as possible , no thorough checks just a quick "here and bye" . I wish I never trusted these people to take care of my baby , she contracted PARVO from this place as well !!! They are very unsanitary and very unprofessional : this place is a tad bit pricey as well , I do not recommend coming here at all !! NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY HAVE ANY BUSINESS FROM ME !HORRIBLE DOCTOROnly good thing is that the staff are very sweet)

Amazing vet!!! I have nothing but good things to say about this place.I've been between vets and I finally ended here. He really cares about animals and is well priced. You may have to adjust to his strong character but it shows how much he cares, there's a reason they have a line out the door. I recommend calling ahead of time to plan your visit since they are always busy.P.s. Thank you so much for always taking care of us!
