Very nice doctor, but I can never get an appointment for my mom next week or the following one. I just called the office, and the soonest they could see her was December! This office has just become too busy, and this is not acceptable for a 91 years old patient. I will be moving my mother to another physician. This is a big hassle.

I am a patient of Dr Wielenga and I have not received the care that I deserve. I visited the doctor's office to get a physical. The only thing I received was a blood test and nothing else. The doctors did not follow up with me. It is so hard to get good service in the front office. The girls do not take their job seriously. They also don't follow up on messages left by patients. I am going to change primary doctor's because going to this doctor's office is a total waste of time.

My father had an appointment scheduled today, and because he didn't answer his phone due to work policy, they canceled his appointment without notice till we arrived at the office. I actually tried to call for my father before his appointment but they were out on lunch. I was not even able to leave a message to confirm his appointment. This was not the worst part of a cancelled appointed my father had been waiting 2 months for. The worst part of this experience was dealing with the administrative staff. When mentioning that my father needed his diabetes prescription the staff member could have cared less. It's clear now by the other reviews the staff at Wielenga is damaging to Dr. Wielenga's practice.

Although I love Jacqueline the PA in this office the staff is horrible. They're very rude, they don't call you back, you'll get left on hold forever only to get attitude when they finally DO take your call. As a practice who's primary patients are seniors it makes me sad for those patients. People go days, even weeks without meds because they just aren't responsive, they don't care. Don't work in a field you have to deal with people daily if you don't like people. They either need to train their current staff better or get staff that has better attitudes.

Crystal the in authorizations is the absolute worse staff member I have encountered at Dr. Wielengas office. I am a disabled person and I need specific specialists. This person cannot assist me. She gets every single authorization request wrong. I have been there in person to speak to her about specific codes that are needed in the requests, she gets very upset even starts shaking she gets so upset because I show up to ask for help. I have spoken to her manager Alma and she does not help me either. My disability isn't taken seriously by this staff, the "service" I receive here is horrible.

I have had wonderful experiences with this office, but today my father was trying to schedule an appointment for a follow up. The receptionist was extremely rude and had no patience for my father, whom does not speak English fluently. At the end of the call, as he was trying to confirm that everything for his appointment was set, the receptionist hung up on him. I understand that communication with patients who don’t speak English fluently can be difficult, but I believe it is important that Dr. Wielinga speaks with his team and they understand how important it is to treat their patients with respect. Especially, considering they are located in a neighborhood that serves majority Latinos.

Dr. Wielenga always takes care of all of his patients no matter when I'm there I always feel like I'm at home and he always makes me feel better just being there in his presence at the other day. I believe any hospital or place of medical attention should always have a good atmosphere, and seek positivity and love within their own institution And willing a medical group. I can say, with the full heart that they have treated me more than a patient and more like family at the end of the day. They are the only providers that have helped me thoroughly and I have been able to manifest hope inside my heart that I will always get better thank you doctor and all your patients there appreciate it. Good if you can get ahold of them. They called me at 4:45pm on a Friday to confirm an appointment then abruptly closed. Forwarded all calls to an emergency line and then does not pick up the phone during business hours Monday with a full voicemail inbox so you cant leave a message. I called 9 times - the only helpful person was their emergency contractor who said they couldn't forward me to a voicemail. Like I said - totally good IF - hard IF - you can get ahold of them. Doctor is alright.

Amazing place. Honestly I don't go anywhere without first checking Yelp and this place has a treasure trove of 5 star reviews. Also Vanessa Clark is the best PA in the entire city. Amazing young lady with great manners and a caring way about her. I highly recommend this place and am so glad I trusted the reviews!

I am one who does not like to go to the doctor, hospitals, etc. But Dr. Wielenga is by far the best doctor that I have been to. He is very compassionate and always gives you his full attention.

Dr. Wielenga is my father's provider and has taken excellent care of him for years. My father almost died of high blood sugars due to a steroid given to him at another clinic. Dr immediately worked hard to admit my father, and make him better. He is kind and gives us the full attention we deserve at our visits, he doesn't rush us. for someone, this might not be acceptable to wait long long however the wait is worth it because he listens

I am the daughter and wife of two patient at this office. I have never meet a practice that cares so much about their patients. Dr wielenga is empathetic, detailed and deeply cares to the patient and family needs. I have cared for sick parents and many doctors are senseless but here I feel that he genuinely cares and works to providing good quality care. There staff also is very compasionateand caring towards all.
