Great place to come eat, I will never go to a chain restaurant again! The owner was so kind and struck up conversation to get to know us not only as his customers but also as his neighbors. I can honestly say I felt at home ? The waffles and pancakes were amazing and his own recipe! The prices were great and you get a good amount of food for your money. He has been running the cafe since 1980 and knew everyone who came in! I really love how nice and quiet the town is and the feeling of relaxation just from the calm serenity surrounding us. Seriously I will never go to a chain again and this is going to be my spot for sure!Food & drinks: Good size portions for the price, you definitely get your money's worth. Pancakes and waffles are his own recipe and taste amazing ?

It's old inside. Faded pictures on the wall of long gone stars. Old fashioned. Old grill. Old tables and chairs. Cosy!!!Food by gentleman chef is home made delicious. Milkshake the most delicious I've ever had in my life. Service excellent with a smile thrown in.Go there every time we go on the way to Jackson. A real treat!

It's all about expectations. Be prepared to wait a LONG time. The one and only guy seems very unhappy owning/ cooking and providing service. There is nothing else around for breakfast so we thought we would try it. Seems like it had been around awhile so thought some of the reviews maybe were not accurate. They are accurate. There were 4 people ahead us us. It took one hour after we ordered for our to go order. A couple people walked out angry while we were waiting and never ordThe guy said he has been running it since 1980. He could really have something special here but no chance. I would recommend coming here on a rainy day when you just want to read a book or something.

We love road trips and exploring new towns. Dry town is cute. We stopped here. It was a real test of our politeness. We should of left just from dirty floor and food smeared menus. But we ordered from a nice man who stood way to close and looked to have an eye infection. My husbands coke came in a greasy cups with little orange chunks in it. The oil heating for fries stunk like it was very old. We really should of left. But it so hard to be rude. We thought we could get through it till the cook put this condiment catty on our table. Zoom in. See how dirty is. We paid and left.

Nasty.I was up for going in because my husband wanted to find an old fashioned diner. We walked in and there was only the old man working there. He was very grumpy and had slippers on and kind of slid over to our table as he brought the menus.I could hear him insulting other customers as I guess that was his sense of humor. He asked me if I wanted ketchup or hot sauce and I said yes id like hot sauce. He then said hey lady I asked if you wanted ketchup. I replied you also said hot sauce. He responded okay you got me lady geez.He also cooked the meal and I've never had eggs that tasted metallic. I had my husband taste them and he agreed. I think he tried poisoning me. Ok joking but something was definitely wrong with those eggs.If you're starving keep going to the next town it's not that far.

No, not pristine, but full of character and very good food. Edwin cooks it all - my partner's litmus test is the chicken-fried steak and eggs. This was one of the few places that doesn't just pull out of freezer. The prime rib and eggs on Saturday mornings was great, as well as the vegie omelette, and the biscuits and gravy were best I've had. We enjoyed the personable owner's conversation, and his prices don't break the bank either...

Had breakfast in there today. Ole pops can cook food. It was like if my own grandpa made it for me. Dont be in a hurry if you go there, and use your manners and be respectful you will be treated very well. Pricing was more than fair. I will make it a regular thing going forward. Expect the place to be a little gritty, but for me its part of its charm.

My Son took us there for the $20 Friday night prime rib special and it was very good. It's amazing that you can get a steak dinner with clam chowder and 2 sides for $20. All the other food we have had there is very good as well.

Old Well Cafe is a hidden gem. It's a small time classic Diner that has great food. Ed makes Amazing biscuits and gravy and the French Dip is great. When I'm in the area I always go out of my way to stop and grab lunch.
