Shady people to avoid at all cost. False information given to purchase insurance, staring my insurance will cover cost. My insurance informed me that in fact they do not. Went back within the hour to take off insurance. They informed me they will credit me for the charge and never does. Went back the second time and the manager said he’ll contact corporate and reverse the charge and again never does. Do not deal with these deceitful people!!

Terrible service. They force a car on you and you don’t get a choice. You don’t even get to see the car until you already filled out the paperwork to take it.

Upon entering, the location feels hostile. Employees are not friendly at all and there’s two desks in a giant space. Feels unwelcoming. Additionally I had a 2mm windshield chip which they said wouldn’t cause any issues. A month later I get the bill for $1k. What’s funny is they charge for diminished value and the full cost to replace the windshield. Definitely scammy vibes out there. Even though I have presidents circle with Hertz, their treatment was horrible. Would suggest to go to another rental car company.

Hertz has to be thee WORST car rental in history. Problems with their website. When you call to resolve an issue their phone hangs up on you if they even answer the phone at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.I apologize this was not at the Duarte location. It was with one of the hundreds of 800 numbers Hertz has and the website. I would not write a review like this without going in person first to resolve such a thing. I apologize for my mistake.

Hertz is now pushing customers to rent Electric cars! The first few options are always electrical cars and run cheap to trick people. The only indication that you signed up for electrical is a tiny "ev" Dear Hertz nobody wants to go on a road trip and get stuck ! People don't want or like these cars being pushed on us! Won't be renting here anymore as they are pushing people to pay high prices for regular gas cars. Shame on you Hertz!no thanks !

Excellent service, staff were professional and kind. Both the young man and the blonde British lady were very friendly even though the place was very busy. I take my hat off to them both for going above and beyond to make their customers welcome. Thank you again guys and I will be recommending you to my friends and family.

Be careful with this rental place I had a lone thought Carmax while my car was getting fix, I refuse the insurance because Carmax did everything and the lady that help me said it was cover so I didn’t need it. When I return the car they charge me $100 when I call to ask why they put me on hold for over an hr just for me to hear that manager will call me well months later I’m still waiting for the call.

Poor customer service & car qualityUpon entering at the store, I felt not welcome at all. Specially from the agent who processed my rental; very cold face.The car was not ready for pickup.The quality of the car was bad; lack of mayor services such as alignment and windshield wiper replacement.Except Hertz located at any airports, avoid renting from them if possible, especially the one located in Duarte, CA.

I had a car reservation for 10:30 am Thursday to Wednesday last week. I show up and the blonde lady tells me they will not have any cars available till 4pm. She was very rude and non apologizing after I took and Uber there for nothing. I call back at 4 like she said and again no cars she says. Now a week later finally confirmed with a nice guy on the phone and there was a car available. I show up with my paper temporarily Driver's license and She tells me that is not acceptable. Like how it clearly says on there it is a temporary DL. All bad.

I wish I could give half a star, Nothing against Brandon he was amazing, very professional needs a promotion. My car wasn't available due to someone not getting the released after being serviced. They told me to go to another location to get the car but unable to get the same rate so I just wanted to cancel at this point. But the number the lady gave me didn't even work making me drive back to this location. My only option was to get a car or a refund, I scheduled my reservation a month prior for a Tesla and all they could offer was a small SUV not even worth what I paid for. Icing on the cake my refund will take 7-10 business days. Never going back to Hertz. Customer service from Angela wasn't the best lack of responsibility after she called me the day before to confirm my reservation and trying to throw the blame on others.

I just want to say that my experience here was the best I've ever had while renting with Hertz. I've been renting with Hertz for over 10 years throughout multiple states. But the service I was Provided with by this super nice and sweet lady Ms. Lynn was beyond exceptional. The was my first experience renting a Tesla and she made it seem less for me. She was extremely friendly, informative and attentive. I for sure would be renting here again. Thank you again Ms. Lynn

Pre-paid for a vehicle using my debit Master Card. Was refused my vehicle on Friday afternoon, leaving me unable to rent another vehicle from anywhere else as I now have to wait 7 to 10 days to get my money back. My trip to Vegas was then cancelled and everything I had planned thereafter.Hertz refused to rent me the vehicle because I didn't have A. A return flight within 5 days of hire or B. A credit card... even though I had a return flight for 2 weeks away AND I had paid everything in advance. Really makes no sense to me. I guess my money wasn't good enough.Now the next 10 days of my planned holiday are ruined, not to mention the stress and hassle I have had to go through in the last 24 hours trying to arrange alternative accomadtion etc whilst being $300+ in the hole.On top of this, my friends in Vegas, who took time off of work, are also out of pocket and have had their plans ruined.There's really no silver lining to this.I'll never use Hertz again, in any country, in any situation, I'd rather walk.

I Rented a car in a pinch two days before I needed to leave, renting online was smooth, I opted for a full size car that comfortably seated 5 which large trunk space for suitcases. When I arrived for pick up they did not have the full size Malibu and said they gave me a "free up grade" to a smaller car which they call a sub compact SUV. Calling it a SUV or sayin it's a free upgrade doesn't fool me into thinking they did me any favors, they gave me a tiny match box size vehicle, a keep renegade. We are a family of four, two small sized adults and two small children and it was not comfortable to drive 4 hours each way and the trunk space did not accommodate our luggage that they assured us it would. Other then being a 2019, great AC and Sirius XM that's where's the perks ended. The car was dirty, interior not cleaned or vacuumed, still has the last persons hair and fluff in it and smelled like the last person. Paid nearly $400 for 7 days which would have been fine if I got the "Malibu or similar" which is what I paid for. At pick up it took 40 minutes with two employees and at drop off it took over a hour with 3 other people waiting and one employee. In less it's a extreme emergency I will not bring my business back to Hertz.
