This place deserves no stars only reason I give them 1 star is because im not able to post without adding one but if there was such thing as negative stars i will give this place a pile of negative stars. They provided the worst care for my poor elderly mother. She went to this facility with good strength in her lower extremities moved her legs just fine my mother had a bed sore that needed care unfortunately the wound care was horrible she ended up in the hospital with Sepsis her legs have contacture she did not receive physical therapy as she was supposed to because if she did contracture would have never happened. This place would always say my mother was not hungry when it was meal time i would see her tray on the side upon visiting i noticed it. I had to feed my mother because they neglected to feed her properly she lost weight because of it. I would complain to the charge nurse and director of nursing nothing was ever done.

This place is a dream we moved my mom from another facility so we have something to compare it too. 5 stars! This is an amazing facility. The staff is warm, friendly, and passionate about providing personalized care. The rooms are clean and they decorate for each little holiday like St Patrick's Day to make the residents feel like they matter. I love seeing that when I go there. Activities are plentiful and engaging. Highly recommend this top-notch skilled nursing home for anyone seeking excellent care and support for their loved ones.

It has been such an awful experience. This home has an overall rating of 3.0. I wish my loved ones family had been included as to where they were to be placed.Kaiser decided this is the place. Before our loved one went to Kaiser and before placement at Monte Vista our loved one was walking , eating and talking and in a better state of mind. The nurses and administrators are so unprofessional , rude ,disrespectful to not only outside guests but the patients aswell. I have never seen our loved one like this. Our loved one is mot being cared for adequately. The first day there, our loved one sat in their urine for more than 5 hours. Then asked for something to eat and was flat out denied ,was told no. No concern for hunger or how the patient felt .The nurses yell and get angry with the patients aswell as the outside guests. The very sad part is our loved one has Dementia and is treated so poorly because of it. Mental/emotional, verbal (who knows of physical abuse ) and certainly neglect goes on at this place. I wonder if the nurses and administrators would change their way of caring for these sick elders if they were reported or being watched and or I walked in with a News Crew and put them all over social media for all its mistakes. So sad the level of care. If this facility is incapable of providing quality care if the nurses are not compassionate or committed enough to caring for the sick why do hey hire such employees and the facility lacks professionalism and management. The nurse don’t wanna talk to you or answer questions. They look mad ,not over worked, they just look so unhappy . I have the nurses name that was supposed to care for our loved one. The other day we contacted the facility, she had no information to provide us , kept saying she didn’t know call back and getting angry and yelling and racing her voice to my family member and not only did we then find out our loved one had been taken to a hospital, they did not make contact with us to inform us of the urgent matter or his condition , nor did they inform us of a COVID outbreak and were not allowing visitors. This saddens my heart and disturbs my soul. We need to do something about this facility and all others that lack in professionalism, compassion, dedication, social/people skills and human decency. Time to act

My mother was admitted today and she was left lying there with no food or water or care of any kind (bathroom?) for 7.5 hours until my brother came in to help her himself. She just had major surgery and chose to go to Monte Vista for care as she recuperates. This is clearly one of those facilities owned by investors who see elder care as a cash cow and only provide the bare minimum to not be shut down by the government. I weep for the hundreds of thousands of old people who rot and even starve in facilities run only for quick profit. They’re a stain on our nation. Believe the bad reviews and write your local representatives to raise the standards of care at facilities like this.

My mother was sent here, and not allowed to urinate for 7 hours, because no one was available to evaluate her to see if she is cleared to use a walker. She had to wait many hours for a tiny cup of water, and several hours for food. Someone needs to do regular welfare checks on this place, especially since the clientele are elderly, a protected class, and visitors are extremely limited to check on their well-being.

When your loved one has to go to a skilled nursing facility it's typically not the best situation. My mother has been here for three months now and I must say I am impressed with the care she is receiving. This is the fourth facility we have been in and this one is so much better than the others. Yes the nurses are busy, sometimes it takes them a but to get to the patient but they work so, so hard. Emergencies are handled skillfully, and the charge nurses communicate with family very well. I feel relief knowing that my mother is being taken care of. As busy as they are the CNA's take time to pop their head in and say hello even when they're working on the other side of the building. Administration here is top notch. Any concern I have had has been addressed promptly.

This place has been great ? ? and did all that they could to make my grandmother feel at home when I was not available to be available emotionally. I wish I could have gotten over my fears of what I thought of a convalescent was. I missed out on the best years of her life in her old age but I will never forget the significance of what it is to have a team of people who allow strategy to make sure the elders of this world are truly cred for.

Covid 19, appears to have had a serious impact on the way things are handled at this facility. They seemed to be short staffed, overworked, underpaid and as a result it reflects in the care, the patients receive and the lack luster attitudes of their employees. The staff is either hot or cold, there is no median.

If I can rate this place negative stars I would. The CNAS don’t do there job correctly they don’t care about there patients. My grandma lives here and they treat her like she was nothing. They don’t clean her or feed her. If I wasn’t here today they would’ve have fed her. She complains that they don’t feed her for days. Besides my grandma this other patient was calling for a cna to help him and the cnas were just walking past the call light. That is abandonment to the patient.
