“EL MONTE TRANSMISSION! They are honest, professional, and overall great place to get trans work done. I had my gmc Sierra towed from lake Elsinore! That's how much trust this shop. The owner is great, and any questions that I have about my transmission he was able to answer, and actually show me after he drop the transplant how many metal shavings were in the actual pan. He explained out basically my transmission is going out it's gonna need to be repaired... he recommended that but either way he wasn't trying to be pushy salesman. “My Ford Fusion’s water pump went out & I contacted a few shops in the San Gabriel Valley where none of the shops were skilled to perform the complex repair for this 1.5L Ford Ecoboost engine. Even the local Ford Dealer service center never returned my two calls? Then I found Lima Auto Repair where Chris eased my worries & stated that they were totally skilled with these engines & had all the complex tools necessary. The cost were reasonable and the repairs were professionally done in a few days. Customer service, smartphone appraisal & approval process was awesome! “I was seeking preventive maintenance on 1982 MBZ diesel. I called ahead to screen the place and was given a reasonable price accompanied by courteous attitude. We set an appointment at which time I was greeted and the work commenced. Two man shop; they just do transmissions. They drained old oil, dropped the pan, inspected and showed me a sizable crack in the seal gasket, which explained the underfilled reservoir. No metal shavings. They installed new gasket and a new filter. They did not try to sell me anything extra, they explained every finding, and they stuck to the originally quoted price told to me in my screening phone call. Pleasant experience. I recommend highly.”

“I brought in my 1968 Cougar to the shop because my car wasnt shifting properly and i didnt know what was wrong with it. I was greeted by friendly staff, and one of the owners son. They invited me in, offered me water or soda, real friendly. They asked me what was wrong with the car and they were able to check it out within the same hour. They informed me it could be expensive or it could be something small, they were honest. After checking it out and finding the problem it turns out it was something small and gave me a very reasonable price. They could have easily charged me a lot but didnt, they were honest. They seem to work on classic cars there too so thats a plus. After they fixed it they test drove it with me in the car to make sure it was good. Based on my experience: trustworthy and friendly staff, family owned, i would recommend this spot and I would come back again.”
