Waited a long time for service at the money services desk. Asked a team member if someone could help me get a money order. He directed me back to the money services area. I waited more. I finally called the store and was told to go to guest services. Line barely moved in 15-20 minutes. Line backed up into the men's wear section of the store. 10+ people waiting for service. One employee working the customer service desk. Terrible service and absolutely ridiculous. Store isn't even busy, lots of other employees "looking busy."

Terrible customer service. It's crazy how terrible and rude the customer service you get is, absolute garbage. Also, this Walmart has never ever been clean a day in my life.

It's probably the cleanest Walmart I have ever shopped in!!! The staff are super friendly, super helpful, and always look happy... Not like some locations that look as if they are doing life sentences. LOL...The store is well organized, and stocking levels are usually better than most locations from Burban to Long Beach...I live in Glendale and would rather make the drive to Duarte just to shop at this store.. Kudos to the Employees and Managers for doing an Awesome Job!!!Cleanliness 5 StarsInventory 5 StarsCustomer Service 5 StarsPricing 5 Stars

very poor customer service, which is very typical of Walmarts, so I try to avoid going unless I have no other choice. stood in line for one of the self checkouts with a conveyor belt since the line was shorter. this brown curly haired young man obviously saw us go in line, but he was chatting with another employee. we were in line for a good 5 minutes waiting for the people in front of us to finish checking out, and only after these long 5 minutes, when we were about to start checking out, did he think to call out to us and tell us that he's actually going to close this station. we glanced at each other once I walked into this line, so he obviously could have told us right then that this line was closed, or even easier, since this station has a conveyor belt, he could set up the closed sign behind the other customers, but no, he had to wait until he finished chit-chatting before he could tell us this information. what's the point of installing all those self checkout stations if y'all are going to close up half of them?there's also people making arts and crafts and setting up blankets next to their cars to sell things in the parking lot, making it very cramped to drive through and the lot just feels like a chaotic flea market. not sure when Walmart will do some customer service training :)

Compliment to employee; critique of store.Compliment to employee: Eva in housewares awesome. She's quiet yet was very proactively helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. I was there in March 2023 (I think on 03-02). Critique of store: too often what I was seeking isn't available at this smaller location.

The Walmart itself is 3/5 starts - it's actually pretty bad lol. I don't think it's technically a super center, which would explain the lackluster supply of food it offers. While the food section technically covers all the regular sections, the items available are sparse. For example, if you need to buy meat, your only option is frozen, higher fat logs of meat vs. fresh. If you want produce, you can choose from some pre-bagged stuff that never looks very fresh and only the staple stuff, like onions, potatoes, and bananas. What's confusing about this is that the size of the store is the normal super center size, it's just the food section only takes up about 1/4 of the retail space instead of the usual 1/2 or more. It would be nice if they would shut this one down temporarily and reorder things around inside to make it into a real super center. The only reason I wanted to write this review is for the most amazing door greeter, Marvella! You'll know if you've encountered her when you hear her cheery voice without even noting the unique name on her nametag. I haven't seen her there recently, but she's usually working on the weekends when I visit. I hope she's still employed there because she truly is so great at her job. I'm from the Midwest ~20 minutes from the Walmart capital of the USA, so I've been to my fair share of Walmart locations in my day. My hometown in the Midwest of ~60K people has 3 super centers and 3 Walmart Marketplaces. I grew up in a Walmart infested area lol. I've truly never encountered a better Walmart door greeter than Marvella! She doesn't just waive and say hello, but uniquely greets every customer. She's always smiling and is so kind and polite. I wish more Walmart employees were like her.

Out of the other Walmarts in San Gabriel Valley area, this would be my favorite in terms of customer service and crowds. My first preference is to place an online order pick up. They are usually pretty quick with bringing out the order within 5 minutes of arriving. If I need to shop around, the self checkout line is usually pretty fast since they have an associate manning the self checkout line and machines. The cleanliness of the store is overall okay. Bathrooms are decent in the morning, but by afternoons, go use at your own risk. The area that I feel they would need to improve is their return section. The process seems to take a bit long and it seems they only have one associate working there no matter how long the line gets.

Compared to my experience with the Rosemead Superstore, I was cautiously optimistic about picking up my purchase of a COVID-19 test kit at Walmart. I was pleasantly surprised about being able to reserve an one time slot to pick up my purchase, and found it totally worth making the drive to this location. Did I mention they even have a McDonalds restaurant connect to the store? For a parent, this must be so convenient to shop and dine with your youngster and saving time multi-tasking. I would come here again, and go inside in a New York minute, once COVID-19 and flu have subsided and really shop inside a Walmart for the first time!

RUDE!!! THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ANYONE TO OPEN DOOR WHEN STORE OPENS AND THAT HAPPENS EVERYDAY!! Instead they have a certain customer open the door and lets her self in while we wait to get in...... THEY also GET BOTHERED IF YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING. I don't understand why when they work there????? WALMART if you want customers to shop there some of them need better customer service skills .

The staff at this location are never available to help and the money center and they have an attitude when customers ask for service. I waited almost an hour to make a money order.

Store has an excellent greeter at the front of the store. I parked near garden door and found out it was not open. Store was clean- needed some items that required an associate with a key and an associate was readily available explained 'lock box' process but I got to take my item with me. Was going to check out in garden area but no cashier(after 10:00am) so they had 3 cashiers working - I went to self check out. My only complaint is that some low life pried my gas door open unscrewed gas cap in an attempt to siphon my gas. I thought there was security in the parking lot and perhaps what happened to me would have been prevented. I will return to the store I will just chose a more densely used area to park in.

I yelped an employee at Walmart on 4/30/22 because of her great customer service and positive attitude, but I listed her name as Marianne. Her correct name is Leanne and I hope this didn't cause any confusion. Leanne is the one who I would like to acknowledge for her outstanding customer service. THANKS LEANNE AND WALMART!!!
