“Charming small hotel, with a view of Dunsmuir's old historic main street and the mountains beyond wrapped in autumn fog. The lobby is a creative boutique with beautiful hand-made and artisan items to buy. The train runs just next to town and it's an old-fashioned romantic sound to hear when you open the window.”

“I stayed two nights in rustic cabin 10. This cabin is over 100 years old, and to me, it is the best choice. They offer modern cabins for 2 or 3 times the price. And they offer hotel rooms. But i feel you can find those anywhere. This cabin has serious personality and is quite memorable. It has a bathroom and showet, they provide soap, shampoo, and great towels. Certain cabins have a balcony out the back door, with river views and a barstool type eating area. The front of the cabin has a porch, a rocking chair, a hammock swing, and a nice weber bbq in front of each cabin. Across the way is a park-like area with hammocks, plenty of picnic tables spaced out nicely, firepits, bocce ball, basketball, and little lights connected to all the trees. Hundreds of lights, and the stadff meticulousy checks and replaces burned out bulbs. It gets into the 80s in the room during the day, with no ac, but i left all the windows open and it will be 62 by morning. Really refreshing. A full fridge and freezer and a camping stove rounds out the kitchen. Plates, glasses, pots and pans and kitchen utensils are provided. Youre close to your neighbors so it feels like a bit of a community. The only downside is the freeway noise, as the resort is right along I-5. Without the freeway, it would be truly spectacular, but it takes a bit of effort to zone out the trucks and cars. Only other negative is the very cold pool, i opted not to swim. Maybe I'd like that more in August”

“We stayed here to break up the road trip from AZ to OR. In the past we’ve stayed in Redding but this was a much better option. We travel with our dog and Mt bikes and this motel was perfect for both. We had a downstairs room located near the dog walk area and there was room for the bikes.
This motel has been nicely upgraded and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
The best part was the reasonable price for our quick stay.
Highly recommend walking to downtown to shop and enjoy dinner. We enjoyed Pipeline for a basic brew pub type dinner.”

“Wonderful hospitality - Anna makes the legendary breakfast and Tiffany is your local guide and makes sure everything is taken care of, even if you arrive late. Be sure to let them know if you are arriving after 8pm so they can make arrangements to leave the key card handy.”

“Pretty damn magical, with rustic charm, rooms full of antiques and ample porch space to sit and drink a beer in the dark at 11pm. Somehow, also very reasonably priced and conveniently located in the same building as most of the shops in town. This place will have you browsing Zillow for local real estate as soon as you've got your room keys.”

“I am so impressed with this little hotel. The service at the front desk was excellent. The rooms are completely renovated. And extremely comfortable. And the price compared to staying in Redding was worth driving north another hour. I am thrilled with my choice. It’s an absolutely lovely place. I will definitely be staying here in the future.”

“This is a beautiful golf course. It's very peaceful. There are a few bathroom areas on the course. They have a small cafe and a large golf shop. The bathrooms are clean. They have golf carts for rent.

Nearby activities: The lake is right across the street from the golf course.”

“A lovely family-run hotel. These are the kinds of places we like to make sure our money goes to when we travel. Stayed two nights in lovely, clean room. Staff was very friendly. There's a restaurant on site (Closed Tues/Wed, so we didn't get to try it) but you're within easy reach of several more for variety. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.”

“Very welcomed and taken care of by this family owned business. Very clean, was able to leave our trailer to make exploring much nicer and easy.
Very close to everything. The lounge aera was perfect to watch the sky and just sit and visit outdoors. Thank you it was fabulously wonderful.”

“Booked around a month in advance for two weeknights late in August, at 128$ a night. Owners were very communicative, and made sure I had all the information needed for a fast self checkin. Room was tiny, but enough for a solo traveler. The floor was very dirty and sticky, which I did not like. There's an Italian restaurant right across the street, and it's pretty good. Location is great, only a 20 minute drive to the trailheads for Mt Shasta.

Rooms: Tiny but cute. Had all the basic amenities, and good instructions for wifi plus checkin. No breakfast included.

Walkability: Easy to walk to restaurant right across.”

They even have a fenced in area for pups!

Food & drinks: There is a great cafe/coffee shop on site!”
