Hodge's Family Nursery sets the bar for other nurseries. I've been coming here for years. They have a mind blowing amount of plants, shrubs, and trees, I could easily spend an hour there just checking out the variety. The customer service is top notch with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They invite your questions! They even have free clinics every so often on useful subjects like tree pruning. Only drawback is the tendency of buying way more than I came in for!

Love Hodge's! Best selection of trees I've seen. I've bought at least 20 trees from them over the years and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Beats the big box stores because you can always get the perfect variety and get great advice with your specific site needs (at the blue or orange store, those people don't know much about gardening). Hodge's is always the first place I go when I need plants. It also makes me feel good to support a family who does so much for their local community.

Big place. The plants didn't look very good to me. Home Depot & Lowes plants are better and less expensive

Some of the most gorgeous variety of plants I've seen at a nursing. From succulents, cati, flowers of every form. Fruit, nut, or everyday trees. Friendly staff, always offering a hand with the plants you'd like. I personally don't think the prices are bad, especially for the quality and care of every plant. I will definitely be back here soon.

Great local nursery With an excellent selection of hard to find nursery stock the selection of Japanese maples is just simply astounding. I was welcomed As soon as I arrived and was checked on several times by the helpful employees that run around on electric carts happy to bring your selections to the register area and then to your vehicle for loading. It is not the least expensive option for some nursery stock however the selection the helpfulness of the employees and the quality of the plants outweighs any price Concerns. There are true nursery men on staff that can answer any questions you might have about the plants that you are interested in.This is must visit local institution.

Great nursery on a very large amount of land. Lots of trees, ceramic pots and plants to choose from. Huge selection and great prices. Even a very thankful turkeys that didn't make it to the table on Thanksgiving one year. Somehow the the turkey warmed up to the owners wife and became a very much loved addition to the business. That's my favorite part of their story! Definitely going back and hope he's still there.

I like the nursery very much. I wish they would not have so much mud in the area where you pay.

What a great nursery selection! After looking at big box stores and calling multiple nurseries, we found just what we were looking for and had multiple specimens to choose from. Hodge's will be our go-to nursery from here on!

I bought several trees in 2020. I wanted to honor my dog who passed by buying a tree for him, plus other fruit varieties. It sis not my first rodeo when it comes to planting fruit trees. I have an amazing irrigation system all throughout my front and extensive backyard. I followed instructions of watering three times a week which was done via irrigation, and in between, I'd give water to my trees to make sure the humidity wouldn't be allowed to left them during the summer months. I called the nursery to tell them my avocado and my paw paw had technically died. These trees were in their perfect microclimate where I knew that was guaranteed to help them survive. When I called, the guy who answered the phone which was NOT the person I initially talked to at the nursery, he basically blamed me for the trees dying. I spent probably somewhere north of $1k to have trees die, he said that was everything that I did wrong when I even followed the specifications provided with the purchase of the trees. I also bought fertilizer, mycorrhizal fungi, and between all the trees I purchased, a Giant royal nectarine which I asked the arborist dude if it was a 100% guaranteed nectarine because I'm deadly allergic to peaches. By deadly, I mean anaphylaxis. It wasn't a nectarine. It's a peach. Now, I have to avoid that part of my garden which sucks because now, I must move my vegetables raised beds, because of their proximity to this tree. Not only did I got duped and blamed for something that I did not do, but was sold a peach tree that can literally kill me when I was guaranteed to be a peach. Find yourself another nursery. I was a customer for years, and now, every time I think of them, I wind up flustered, angry, and sad. Never again. You'd be surprised that the same suppliers for this nursery, also supply Lowe's and Home Depot, making the same trees Hodges sells for nearly $100+, and find them at less than a third of that price at your local hardware stores. I'll post the peach tree in a little bit. But here, they have lost a customer forever.

Good selection of plants and trees but they rather discourteously rush you out 5 minutes before they even close with constant warnings of needing to leave and even closing their front gates. It was a bit much. Probably would not go back due to this as there are just so many nurseries in the area to choose from that have better customer service but we thought we’d try this one and were disappointed.

The best staff and most knowledgeable I have found in this area. Way worth going there over any other Box store or nursery.

I thought I really liked this place initially. I bought so many trees from them including 80 Italian cypress trees and some fruit trees. Last late summer early fall I also bought an avocado tree. Unfortunately despite of protecting it for the winter, during last winter's cold snap the frost killed the tree. I called Hodges's nursery in hope that I could have the tree replaced under warranty. The man I spoke with was rather curt and kept questioning whether I protected the tree for the winter even though I kept telling him that I did. He kept zeroing in on the "cold snap" and whether I the tree died during that time and if I properly protected it. I became frustrated and told him that I thought one protected trees for the winter specifically for this reason so his questioning was confusing me. He finally told me that I should bring the tree to him and that he'd try to "work out something" with me and maybe sell me another avocado tree at half price. The other problem was that I no longer had my receipt although there the still has it's original tag. The man made an issue of it but their receipts are a joke. They only show the total amount and not an itemized list of purchases so how could I prove that this tree was included on the receipt when the total amount included other items purchased at the same time??? I told him that I was dismayed at how difficult this was considering that I had bought hundreds of $$ worth of trees from Hodge's Nursery without any issues and only had a problem with this one tree and was being subjected to an inquisition when I called in hope that they would be willing to replace this ONE tree for me. Not sure if I'll go back to Hodges's. Very disappointed. I'm sure they don't care because they probably have enough business without me. But I guess it's more important to save money on one tree than keep a customer who spent hundreds ( if not thousands) of $$ there and would surely come back for more if she was treated right. Oh well.....

Very knowledgeable, kind and helpful staff with the plant and tree decisions I needed advice on given my space, soil and full sun location. I have found the care and quality of the trees and plants I bought were much better versus the big stores. I will for sure be coming back. And thank you David for helping me and answering all my questions.
