“Oakwood Market has been a staple in East Palo Alto. The owners are very customer friendly and know their customers and community. They have variety of produce and proteins. The chorizo, breakfast sausage, party wings are a must get. Again they have a variety of things so go ahead and give them a try. Weather you're in Palo Alto , it's literally right over the bridge. They have a huge parking lot out side so you don't have to worry about that. Thanks again to the Oakwood family for taking care of the community and people. Much love.”

“We were lucky enough to find the deli section open. We perused through the foods available but still chose the tacos we wanted. I chose two tacos with tripas, the lady fried it a bit first, added onions and cilantro and pico de gallo. It was excellent, we liked the texture. My brother requested a couple of carnitas tacos with red sauce. He found it great as well as he was craving something spicy. We brought home a caldo de res, it was nice and meaty. We also picked up some produce. It was mostly self serve at check out and glad the veggies and fruits had scanning codes. Service is nice but they are busy.”

“Fresh sushi made on site. The Maya in the butcher case looked amazing. Awesome drink selections on the back wall! Small store with a surprisingly big selection and super friendly staff. Ample parking, Wells Fargo, and a Starbucks in the same shopping center.”

“I picked up freshly cooked whole turkeys for our work potluck here. First impressions: plenty of parking in their dedicated parking lot, inviting market with lots of specialty products, and helpful, efficient staff. An employee helped me and the turkeys to my car. The turkeys, while on the pricier side, were the best I have ever tasted. Both the white and dark meat were tender and flavorful. Funny story: we forgot to bring a carving set to our potluck. These turkeys were so tender we literally cut all three with a plastic butter knife. Incredible! I look forward to returning and exploring more of their offerings.”

“Quality and healthy foods but be prepared to pay much higher prices. 7" pie at Draegers costs the same as 10" at chain stores Higher prices for slightly upgraded ingredients and service”

“Good selection, quality and prices. The deli fried chicken is as good as KFC or Popeye's at half the price. The deli makes tortilla chips fresh daily that are great. Rarely are there long check out lines.”

“This store has been our go to for the past 30 years. I love how cconvenient it is. There was a time when I dreaded coming in here because of the staff and the poor quality of produce. NO MORE. this store has improved by leaps and bounds. The produce is great now. The meat is above average especially for the price. The staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you all!”

“Lucky has a better assortment of Mexican products than other supermarkets in the area, like jarritos, corn tortillas, bolillos, salsa valentina, tajin, mole, chayotes, calabacita, gary gelatine and flan. And sometimes pan dulce and queso fresco.”

“Good deals. Large portion of food. It’s very scary. The ribs and chicken were surprisingly good. The bag of chips was crazy huge. I’m glad that this place is available for the cost conscious customer.”

“Conveniently located at the junctions of Santa Clara & Sunnyvale at El Camino & Lawrence Expressway, not only it's easy to get to, but also plenty of plaza parking. If you take advantage of the weekly specials, you can really get some major savings by clipping its digital coupons, or weekend (Friday thru Sunday); for example, I got some frozen shrimps 2lb-bag at $3.77/lb, absolutely THE best prices ANYWHERE‼️‼️Also, as they ran out at this price, they honored the issued rain checks - not every store does this!In addition, I also got a gallon of 1% milk for $2.50 on a surprise manager's special discount, C'mon now! These now run upwards of $6.99. I really did feel LUCKY ???”

“Better selection / fewer out of stock items than Safeway - especially milk! Less hectic parking and store = better ambiance / shopping experience! Easter steak & potatoes from the deli were better than Town (popular steakhouse)! The lady preparing these really went above and beyond!”

“I happen to see the reviews and thought that the reviews were dated and did not reflect my recent experience. Good location. Easy parking which is important. Has everything I want. Clean and wide aisles. I am used to self checkout and I usually don't have to wait for more than a few minutes. The plaza has Starbucks, Wells Fargo ATM, other small stores.”

“The store is fine. I do other business in this mini mall so there is a convenience factor. Kindly train all of your cashiers to greet everyone, regardless of nationality, shape, gender, age, etc. Different cultures and countries have different customs definitely but some people really appreciate exchanging a few pleasantries. There's no way to know for sure where every customer is coming from so it's a good idea to treat everyone the same way. Thank you.”

“Nice! Great Service! We did an April Fool's Joke and one guy from our group said "thank you" over 20 times while checking out, said "how are you doing" 5 times, and said "sorry" at least 8 times. They never got annoyed. Excellent job with customer service.”
