These guys are the best! I want to personally thank you. Not only did you do a repair, you thoroughly checked the rest of the truck and found another issue that would have caused major damage. We took our 95 Bronco to AAMCO with an obscure issue 2 other mechanics couldn’t even identify, much less resolve. AAMCO was methodical in the diagnosis, was able to source a reputable rebuilt part, with a 12 month warranty, that no one else could find, even all our car people friends! And they were super honest and forthcoming at every step of the process. Eric especially was so professional. That kid should be running a corporation somewhere! It was stressful for me because it was a complex repair and without that part, we were dead in the water and my beloved truck would have been dead too. I’m super happy with the service and care we received and even though I hope we never have transmission issues with any other vehicles, if we do, we will ABSOLUTELY be repeat customers. Thank you Eric and AAMCO!

Dawn Marie and Todd are amazing at their job. They’re down to earth they make you feel right at home and tell you straight up what’s wrong with your car and give you fare prices. If you need any services done this is the place to bring your car too.

Me and my son are travelling the country while living in our camper van. We broke down in El cajon and rolled into this AAMCO. Busted transmission. They were able to get it in and back out again so fast and we are back on the road again. They really had to pull some strings to get it done as fast as they did and I am so grateful. Highly recommended!

Yes I admit I paid a little more than EVERYWHERE else, but they fixd the exact problem on the 1st go and I will never go anywhere else

I had a wonderful experience here. The people in the shop treated me great and explained the process of repairing my transmission with respect, clear, concise information. I believe that went out of their way to make sure I had the most economical process, to make my needed repairs and to insure I was able to safely drive my truck again. The repairs were done in a timely manner and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Aamco slapped in a new transmission into my 2003 Dodge Ram Truck, unfortunately the refurbished transmission that was received had a defect and I was leaving for VA to attend training for 4 months the next day. I talked to the techs and owners; they offered the help me in any way; they didn’t want to send me out with a defective product. A tech and one of the owners/managers stayed a little while longer after closing to let me load a couple of items to ship with the vehicle and left the next day after renting a van. The techs got another transmission, got it in and make sure it was in working order. The managers helped me find an auto transport company and allowed my truck to be stored at the Aamco for a couple days after the work was completed. The manager stayed in phone communications during this period to see how everything was going. An Auto-Transport came to Aamco in El Cajon and grabbed my truck. Aamco called me to let me know it was being loaded for transport. A would highly recommend, Aamco of El Cajon, has a great group of people working at that facility.

Excellent & Quick Service! Dawn-Marie and Todd were the kindest people and helped fixed my car immediately & kept in constant communication. Volvos are notorious for being hard to repair, but they found the problem and got the part immediately. I recommend them to anyone!

This is my go to shop for all my auto jobs! They repair more than just transmissions. Dawn Marie is so nice..Todd is amazing I had a headlight out and after a few questions Todd got in the car turned it on and diagnosed that my all in one turn signal headlight control was bad. Any other shop would have first replaced my headlight bulb which in malibu means taking off bumper for $300+ bill and then realized controler was bad and do that and then realize harness had fried and back order that to realize not avaliable. Todd had my controller replaced and I think Fabian spliced the wiring and my bulbs didn't need replaced they were fine!!! It was the non obvious that caused the problem!!! Car home in 2 days professional repair at a fair price.Good people I highly recommend them!
