They close my account for no fucking reason after I had a customer wire $25,000 to my account. Then they told me I had to wait to get my money from them because it's being mailed to me. This is bullshit. Will never go with this bank again. These tiny local banks have shit hours, horrible apps, and idiots in their fraud department.

This bank has all the big bank features with a small bank feel, tellers are always friendly and helpful. I also just received a personalized birthday card actually signed by people, in this day and age that is absolutely unheard of and phenomenal, thanks Banner for keeping customer service alive, you made my day better.

I had my personal and business bank account at another major bank for years and never thought of switching. Their service was okay, however I made the switch to Banner Bank once my bank physically burned down! In addition, my old bank did not even try to help me with applying for any of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan program. (The PPP was created by the SBA to help business through the pandemic). I worked with the Banner Bank Branch manager, Dan Newland, at the Fletcher Parkway branch. He was very personable and held my hand through the whole process of applying for the loan. I was able to get approved for two PPP loan programs with Dan and his staff's old fashion customer service. I have also used the bank's call center when I do not physically go in the bank and do phone banking. They have been very personable on the phone. I have initiated several bank wires from my account which you have to go in the bank branch and they went through with no problem. I was concerned I may not have access to ATM and cash checking as much when I made the switch to Banner Bank, however Banner does have a phone app for cashing checks remotely. I have also driven by the Point Loma, Claiermont, and Escondido branch offices. Currently I am using my Quickbooks feature to connect electronically with my Banner Bank account so that I do not have to manually input my numbers which is really nice. I recommend checking out Banner Bank if you are considering a switch. I heard they also specialize in SBA and boat loans and that they are one of the few banks that like lending on land.

Great bank! You can actually speak with the manager and the staff and they are very helpful. If you are a business owner and looking for bankers that actually care, I recommend Banner Bank in El Cajon.

I own a small San Diego-based business that manufactures industrial safety products and I am completely in love with the team here at Banner Bank. I've been working with them for years now and they continue to impress me on a regular basis. I am not one that easily gives praise so I want to be very clear on specific as to why they are so amazing. Here goes.My interactions have all been with Erin(Personal Banker), Peymon (VP Business Banking), and Dan (Branch Manager). I was first introduced to Banner by the local SBDC while I was looking for a line of credit to begin manufacturing and marketing our first industrial product. After being refused even a conversation by most banks (including ones I’d banked with for decades!), Banner made an extra effort to get to know me, my company, and to see how they could help. Peymon walked me through the whole process and I felt like a VIP, despite the fact that I was essentially a new one-person business. They did their due diligence, like any good bank should, and when we encountered obstacles in the process they worked with me and went over-and-above to help find financing that was a match for me and my company. The entire process was one-on-one human communication with someone that cared for me and my business. As a result, we obtained financing for our early manufacturing runs and are now running a successful business!Fast forward to 2020 and COVID-19. Every business I know was struggling and most banks were months behind in trying to figure out the Paycheck Protection Program. Not Banner. Erin responded to phone calls and emails within 10 minutes and kept me in the loop as things developed. As a result, my company received PPP funding in early April, months before most of my peers had even been allowed to submit an application to their banks. During the most stressful time of the last decade, Banner’s service still impressed!And it’s like this every day. Need a reference or have a question for the branch manager? Dan is on it! Struggling with online banking or made a mistake with a transfer between accounts? No problem - Erin will walk you through it personally. Want to chat with a lovely human when you call your bank? That’s Banner.It should go without saying that I’ve now moved all of banking to banner, both personal and business. I can't recommend them enough.

What a difference. I have been banking at a big bank for many many years for both myself and my business and things were okay, but never a personal experience and at the time, that was ok. Then COVID happened and my bank could not help me with a PPP loan. I could not even talk to anyone that knew anything. A friend recommended I talk with these guys and they had it done inside of a week. Every time I call they answer and provide amazing personal service. I even got a thank you card and a birthday card within the same week. So glad that I found this hidden gem. I look forward to making them my primary bank from now on...super happy!

Presented to Monica at the El Cajon branch to make a deposit. She immediately responded by stating that there will be a mandatory 8-day hold on the check. I responded by stating that we have been Banner clients for quite some time & have always been in excellent standing with the bank. And furthermore, it's 2020... everything is done electronically; we're no longer in the "olden days" when everything was done manually. We should not have holds on checks especially for regular banking clients who are in prime standing. She repeatedly stated that she's "not comfortable" with that, & that we're welcome to just not continue with the deposit of the check & rather just have our credit union wire the money & we can pay the associated fees on our end. Unfortunate to have dealt with an individual so cavalier, supercilious, & unpleasant. If you're a Banner client & you find yourself in N County, save yourself the unpleasant experience at the El Cajon branch and just go to their Escondido branch instead.

Clean bank. The people are not super helpful though. I like the gal with the red hair. She is kind and it shows that she cares about her customers. But other then that, it feels like I'm being treated not-so-nice every I time go to this branch. Not saying that I am.. it just feels like everyone is pretending but are actually being fake. I miss my old branches in Washington state. I was able to build my relationships with great boundaries. Not the case here in my last two years. Anyway, if you are a small account user just know what you're walking into with this branch. Maybe I'm just to much of an outsider? Or maybe I'm the j*** here? I just wish they would communicate with me better. Hopefully they can improve and get better. I'm loyal to a fault but I may just switch to another branch to rebuild my relationships :(

Dan is an exceptionally detailed , committed and most importantly, accommodating banking professional. He kept us updated every step of the way on our business loan process and he followed up every phone call with an email, confirming next steps and offering assistance. Reaching him was always easy and efficient with no guess work involved regarding anything at all. He treats you as if you are the ONLY customer when he engages and delivers service like no other...other branches and businesses should follow his formula for satisfaction guaranteed. We have banked with USAA & NFCU for over 20 years and have never received such professional, EASY, personalized service. Thanks to him our new business is up and running! I just open an account at this bank so far it is not very convenient I went to the bank to open a safe posit box they told me to come some other time since the person who do these things is not there , Today I called to find out if that person is there befor I go to the bank they told me to call back in 10 minutes , so far it's frustrating .

Great Bank. This is a bank that is here to serve you whether on line or in person. I first visited their website and was impressed with all the services they offer without taking fees every time you do something. You can use ATMs anywhere without fees and that is a great service.. No demanding direct deposit of your paycheck easy to avoid account fees and all the services you need either free or at a reasonable fee. The employees in the bank were very nice and very professional. If you are looking for a bank for real people, this is it.
