Best at what they do, very fair pricing, and really care about your friend. Highly recommended. Been going to them for over a decade and results are consistent.

I really like this vet. Aside from the first come, first serve way they do things the location is still fairly fast compared to urgent care or ER visits, though would do go to ER if it was life threatening. They are very friendly and the staff and vets are good people. I've been bringing my dogs and pups for several years now and haven't had any problems. Even when news is bad news, they speak with you and really show sympathy and compassion towards you. It really helped when we had to put our dog down due to health complications.

It is clear that animal care is their number one priority!! All of the staff were compassionate and knowledgeable. They were understanding and never pushy when it came to finances. Great idea of the business model of clinic/urgent care for animals without the $1000 price tag!! Super friendly too!

This place was amazing, from check in to check out, they are a clean operating machine. Dr Marvin and his staff were so caring and yet to the point. Didn’t try to upsale a bunch of non sense. Out come our Charlie boy has a torn ACL, and is scheduled for surgery Monday! The cost compared to other surgeons was 1/2 the cost. Thank you EVVH from the bottom of my hearts ? please pray for the best outcome ??

The vets here at the best. So knowledgeable and right to the point without gouging me for more money like other offices do. I will never go to another vet again. Thank you ECVH ?

Staff was very helpful and compassionate. We were able to get our dog checked in rather quickly. Our Doctor was just as helpful which was a blessing. HUGH Thank you to everyone at the El Cajon Valley Veterinary Hospital.

Ended up coming here yesterday for my dog and I was helped by Heather at the front desk who was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, and very professional from check in to check out. All the staff and doctors are great as well. I haven't had a bad experience, and I have been here quite a bit for various things. I have always left feeling good about my dogs care. I am so grateful to have found this place, and I will continue to come here in the future.

Took our new puppies to them to get inoculated, of course they took payments, but then turned around and called the cops on us for our pups being underweight. We stated the reason why as they came from,A bad home and they are learning an new household. Even records from when the first puppy had a blockage, preventing her from eating the way she wanted. They then proceeded to lie to us stating that they didn't call the cops on us even though the cops knew my girlfriends number and both our puppies name???They don't listen to the concerns or comments of the owner and then proceed to be dishonest but still take payment. You guys are trash, owner do not respond to me unless your going to reimburse me.You gave out names numbers and Addresses huge violation of privacy-Update, Great deflection, this review is staying up. Who else has a file on my puppies and the person who brought them in? YOU ARE the only vet they've been too. , look I'm not your teacher or Mom, you don't have to lie to me.Instead of taking initiative and apologizing for the misunderstanding you want to drag it out by continuing to lie, not. A good look when people's best friends are in your hands, what else do you lie about when it comes to your establishment. Privacy policy in California is a big deal, best to tread lightly .

I have been going here for years and the staff have always been very courteous and amazing, especially when I’ve had to put my fur babies to sleep! Their compassion is amazing, thank you for everything you do!

I got in quickly. The staff was friendly and polite. The vet explained all the options. This was a much better experience than going to the large national chain vet hospital.

Avoid this place unless you want to see your pets for the last time. Ever since they changed the staff of veterinarians this place has gone downhill. I had my wife take my 2 year old cat there because he started feeling sick. Within an hour they told her my cat had feline cancer and they HAD to put him down so he wouldn't suffer. They bullied her and made her feel so bad she didn't know what to do and were trying to bully her into signing paperwork to have him put down. Thankfully my wife was able to call me and have me show up at this place. The staff took the cats blood samples in such a way that the results would always show up as negative. If you have worked in a phlebotomist role or in a similar capacity you understand what I mean. They did the blood test incorrectly and they told her my cat needed to be put down immediately so he wouldn't suffer. I've lived with cats all my life and when I was told that I knew they were wrong. Yet, the receptionist, not even a nurse or other medical staff, kept telling us my cat needed to be put to sleep and they weren't going to let me take him home. To the point that they seemed to threaten violence. It got very ugly but I told them there was no physical way they would ever let me stop me from taking my cat home. All this came from the short blue haired fully tattooed receptionist, who definitely made it seem like she wanted to put animals to sleep. She eventually told me she would report me to SD animal control services and definitely made it seem like a threat. I took my cat to another veterinarian and they told me he simply had a bladder infection. The other vet gave my cat some common antibiotics and within a week had fully recovered. Unfortunately because of the treatment I got at El Cajon Valley Veterinary Hospital, and because a blood thirsty receptionist reported me to animal services, I'm not allowed to adopt any animal from SD shelters anymore. My cat is still alive and healthy but it's definitely not because of the service we got at this clinic.TLDR: awful receptionist tried to have my cat put to sleep because of a poorly performed blood test. When I called them out on it they doubled down on it and had animal control show up at my house after a threat of physical violence. Took my cat to a secondary veterinary hospital and they showed me my cat had a simple bladder infection, which progressed further than necessary because of the first veterinarians incompetence. A few days of antibiotics completely cured him. Unfortunately because of the animal control claim I'm unable to ever adopt any animal from a shelter in SD.Avoid this place at all costs!

This place is awesome! The gentle care that Charlie and I have been given is genuine care and concern for our well-being. We have been in this place so many times, due to a new health issue, I have watched the staff interact with lots of people (sitting in the waiting area, checking out people, discussions over the phone and more.) The staff and doctors have displayed the utmost in my eyes. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found them. With tears of gratitude in my heart and eyes. Thank you to everyone at El Cajon valley veterinarians! See you soon!

Extremely impressed with this place. Went in because my dog suddenly couldn’t walk one morning and the staff was very caring and knowledgeable. Not to mention the price was extremely good. I will continue to come back here.
