I had my Jeep Dana 300 transfer case rebuilt by another transfer case shop located in spring valley. They failed 5 times in a row to make it be able to shift at all. I had to pull and reinstall my transfer case 5 times due to their incompetence and MIT took it in one time and got it all dialed in perfect even after the other shop lost the original parts. My transfer case shifts easier than it ever has and having the peace of mind knowing every time I touch it, it will shift perfectly is worth its weight in gold! I recommend MIT if you need any driveline repair as they are extremely knowledgeable, fair, and professional.

There’s no one I trust more with my Jeep than the guys at MIT. They’ve done two separate gear changes in my JK and LJ, overhauled the rear axle in my LJ and recently overhauled the transmission in my TJ. I haven’t had a single issue with any of the work they’ve done and Kenny, who does most of the quoting, might be the nicest and most friendly guy I’ve ever met. Jeff, the owner, does a lot of the work in the shop himself and saved all the parts from my transmission overhaul just so he could show me what was wrong one piece at a time. You can’t go wrong with MIT.

Highly recommended. They have re-geared my ram 2500, built a custom axle for my prerunner as well as ripped out the AWD system in it and installed a twin stick transfer case. Kenny always remembered to handle any questions and concerns with speed. Between Kenny and Jeff I got exactly what I wanted. They are not cheap but the quality speaks for itself.

Brought my jeep grand Cherokee limited years back because it felt like it was slipping. They checked it out and said it was the rear differential. They came highly recommended so I figured they knew what doing. Get jeep back and it’s not fixed. Bring it back and they said it must be the transfer case. I was disappointed because I just paid 2k to fix my rear end the was not the problem. I guess they didn’t like that I was not happy about wasting 2k and about to spend another 2k on the transfers case. So I leave it there and they just let it sit for 3 weeks. I needed my jeep because it my only vehicle so I was asking them how much longer. And the entire time I’m respectful through this whole thing, I just need information on how much longer. Well they finally finish it and the guy who I was talking to was the owner and he goes back to get my truck. He gives it back and I start my drive home. And I’m driving out of state too. I was there on a road trip. So I get back home and I have my mechanic check my transfer case and rear end. Well the transfer case plug is so tight, he has to use heat to break it loose. He gets the plug off and it’s empty! Later I put it all together that the owner didn’t like I wasn’t happy about wasting 2k on the differential. I wasn’t ignorant, I was spending a lot off money. So when it was finally ready I was there to get my jeep and he went back and drained it out the fluid then tightened it with an impact. I assume he did this because I went back in the shop to get my truck and the mechanics were looking at me real weird like the owner just did something and they looked shocked. I put this all together when the transfer case was empty when I got home I remembered the look on the mechanics faces when the owner went back to get my truck. The place seemed real good and another mechanic suggested to take it there that they were the best. I understand they misdiagnosed the problem and yes the transfer case took 3 weeks because the owner didn’t like me I guess, but to sabotage my truck hoping I break down on the road because I won’t be in town for the warranty is messed up! And while I’m there this kid working there kept saying this is a ma and pa shop. You don’t have to worry. Well truck made it back a 1000miles with an empty transfer case.

My truck had a terrible shake that I suspected came from the driveshaft and/or universal joints. After setting up an appointment with the folks at this shop, they confirmed my suspicions. From the very first phone call, to actually walking in the shop, the staff was professional and polite. They took the time to explain how they would tackle the problem and gave me a detailed quote. A few days into the repair, they called me to let me know that the fee would be less than the quote, which was a pleasant surprise.I've had my truck back for a couple weeks now, and I can honestly say it's a night and day difference. It feels great! It was nice doing business with M.I.T., and I would absolutely recommend them.

Nothing but great things to say about MIT…..their work and their staff! I had a 4.5” BDS lift kit installed on my 06’ Duramax, some upper control arms, in addition to some new steering components….a steering stabilizer, upgraded pitman/idler arms and tie rods. From start to finish they listened to what I had to say, and we worked together to find the best answers to my needs….this took some back and fourth, but they were very patient w/me and great to work with! There were a few other minor repairs or replacements needed they found along the way. They reached out to let me know what was needed now vs what could wait, and let me make the call while they were in there.I would time and time again recommend MIT, and can’t wait to bring our other rides their way to get them dialed in! Super rude made fun of my English .. you should never be a customer of this shop they don’t know how to treat their customers … you know very well what you said Karen all I asked you was if you had ditch mounting brackets which are for mounting hood light .. there’s was no need for you to go out and ask and make everyone laugh if they know what “ditch mounting brackets means … you and your employees starting laughing at me … I spoke to you over the phone you said you charge 60$ for 1/2 hour inspection but then you said the labor went up to 72.50 don’t try to hassle people all you guys did was test drive the car and put air pressure that’s is all .

We were gearing up in the area for a 6 month overlanding trip in Mexico when I noticed our u-joint was failing on the rear axle and we had a smaller issue in the front...The team at M.I.T. took us in for an emergency last minute repair on the u-joint which really saved our butts that day as we had left our motorcycle and other items at our campsite in Cleveland national forest and the vehicle had become unsafe to drive. The service was excellent, fast, and reliable which can be hard to find these days. The following week they took us in to do maintenance and repairs on the front end and also did not disappoint... They took care of us like family and gave us the confidence needed to make our upcoming trip safe and memorable. Thanks M.I.T.!!!!

I was referred over to Jeff at M.I.T. for repairs on my 1999 TJ after I broke a bracket on my rear axle. I had an up coming trip to Moab, UT where I planned to drive my Jeep the whole way. Even with my tight deadline they fit me in and did incredible work. Pictures of the welding do not do it justice, I bet the repairs outlast the rest of my Jeep. Please note, this is NOT a daily driver and I beat my Jeep HARD. I never back down from an obstacle and I never take a bypass. Their work is stout. It is very important to me that it is fixed properly as often times I bring my daughters with me on adventures. This shop does not disappoint. See Kenny when you get there and his smile and greeting will change your day. Such good people here.Photos of me in Moab after repairs, jeep is waiving :)Services: Steering & suspension repair

I now have over 1000 miles on the new ring and pinion gears and Detroit Truetrac's. Glad Jeff talked me into the 4.88 gears! They work great running up and down from Big Bear. Truetracs performed great in the snow! Brought up a concern over whistling/whirring upon letting off the gas, but Jeff assured me it was common with the 4.88 Sierra gear set. Outstanding customer service from all the employees!
