Not a complicated need, just getting change for vending machines and such for the month. In and out in 10 minutes, faster if there hadn't been a line....

Two tellers and no other staff on payday. Update: one year later and still not enough staff on payday. In addition, not one new account person available either. Manager at the podium smiling doesn't make up for missing staff. Many people want in person service. Not just a mobile app. To get a cashier's check you need to go in person. Electronic payments are often not accepted. Keep this in mind and staff appropriately.Update: It just gets worse. Payday, again. One teller is new and slow, the other is fine. Several staff members walking around. Get more tellers for paydays.

Another Branch across town failed to sign a cashier check the day prior. The car dealership pointed it out when I handed the checks over. I didn't have a receipt for my Cashiers check. Headed to this El Cajon Branch. The person who greeted me could tell I was freaking out inside. They corrected the issue and I was out the door in under 10min. THANK YOU!

they lie about the hours they’re open, they close at 5 not 6 and if you call them; they will lie to you saying “ your at the wrong location”… what a joke…i was literally standing outside when billy the accountant told me over the phone he was standing at the same door and saw no one… how can you be on the line and be standing at the door at that exact moment…. navy feeeral should stop lying to it’s members…

Never had a bad experience with this place. The few bad reviews I've read kind of sound like Karen reviews, or out of the banks control. Someone complained about only two people being there one day, like it takes about two brain cells to work out that maybe that's due to uncontrollably problems like... idk... several staff members falling ill with covid? Or homeless people being around. It's El Cajon, where isn't there a good bit of homeless people around?

The only NFCU branch I've ever been to in San Diego that makes you waste your time in the teller's line to pick up a check you ordered online.

The woman in the office on the right of podium once you enter is rude, speaks in a condescending tone, intimidated me and my husband by staring with her eyes opened as wide as possible(in tense moments trying to get an answer, I hope the manager of this branch sees this and watches the camera on around 4:30-5:00 p.m. on 2/17 and really watches this woman's face and what she does to us especially me), snapping her head, laughing after saying rude things, and using her finger to point at us. This is the WORST branch I have ever visited. This woman makes snarky remarks, tries to use words she feels are "big" to sound better but in reality she's literally talking in circles about nothing. the way she phrased everything was to make us as the members feel belittled there's no other word for it. If you are familiar with Harry Potter or not you can easily look up a Dolores Umbridge description or watch clips to get an idea of the EXACT characteristic, verbiage, rudeness, initimadtion level to have a better understand of the terrible interaction we had. I will never ever return to this branch. We ended up walking out during the middle of her rudeness, I wanted to cry. As a person who suffers from a disability, this woman should not be working as someone who deals with customers on a daily. Maybe she needs retraining. .. she needs a reality check for sure. This isn't how you treat humans.

Would give zero stars if possible.... With a medical examination and vaccination card I was told I couldn't enter without a mask it's the Navy Federal policy but I've gone into three other branches this past week without a mask no problem

Nothing but trouble with our accounts, with our cards, holding our $$- not having access to our monies for weeks ( if large amt. was deposited) every since coming to Navy Fed in El Cajon we've regretted coming here.! Going back to North Island CU, where they treat yugioh with respect & like family.
