I recently had the pleasure of getting my smog checked at On the Mark Smog and Auto, and I must say that it was a truly wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made sure that I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. I also noticed that the shop was very clean and well-maintained, which added to the positive experience. Additionally, there was plenty of parking available, which made it very easy for me to get in and out quickly. Overall, I highly recommend On the Mark Smog and Auto for anyone looking for a great experience and excellent customer service.”

Horrible business practice here from Jamie..came here because my 1990 Buick failed smog.got approved for the CAP program from the BAR, where they cover smog related repairs up to a certain amount of money for low income people. They require you to go to a specific shop that works with this program. On the mark was one of 7 in my area and closest to me so I chose them. Big mistake. I called before choosing this shop to verify that they would only do smog related repairs because it's a 32 year old car, I know it needs many other repairs but I do my own repair work to all my cars. Wanted to pass smog before I start doing other things to this one. Anyway Jamie assured me he would only do smog related repairs, that the program will cover, so I bring it in and leave it for 3 days. Finally get an update 2 hours before they close on a Friday and he tries telling me it failed because of a leak by the gas tank, even though on my failed smog report it failed because of high no2 at 25mph. Ok I hear him out, he begins to tell me in order to repair he needs to pull the fuel pump in the gas tank, and if he does that, he needs to replace my fuel filter, because it's \"recommended\". Key word being RECOMMENDED, not required, but the catch is the CAP/BAR, program won't cover this, because it's not considered smog related, but rather maintenance.(his words) So exactly!? It's not smog related, I asked before even bringing it to him about this, and he assured me he won't try anything not related to smog. He wouldn't move forward unless I pay him $85, for the fuel filter.(I've done it on this car many times and it takes 10minutes max, and is $10 max) not only did I waste my time but also almost $200 of the $900 I'm approved for, for his ridiculously expensive diagnosis. Now there isn't enough money left in the fund I got from the state to finish the actual repair it does need, and I'll have to try and pay hundred's out of my own pocket. Jamie really put me in a bad spot. I would stay far away from here if you need a trustworthy mechanic. Jamie lied to me in the very beginning, just to get me in because he knows with the Cap program he gets guaranteed money. His greed for more drove me out. And he wouldn't give me my original CAP approval letter back which I need to go to another shop, so now I have to ask the bar for a new one and wait.

I have been searching for months to find a mechanic that is affordable, reliable, and trustworthy, and I'm glad to say that this shop is all 3 of those. After having a terrible experience with the last mechanic shop I went to, I was worried that it would be the same here. But it was the opposite, they were fast, honest, and affordable. I highly recommend you check this place out, the owner is very kind and explains what needs to be fixed! I already told my dad to check out this place too and I definitely will be coming here if I need my car fixed

Owner Messed up my car obd port and he claims it was our fault when he was the first shop to mess with it, when I took it to another shop they said that this shop must have messed up my obd port. Paid $51 dollars for them to mess up my obd and now I can't pass smog check because of their fault. Now ima have to spend my hard earned money on something they caused. Owner also hung up when we were trying to explain the matter. Very unprofessional especially since he is the owner. Lost a customer and I'm sure he will lose many more with his attitude and bad customer service. I recommend going to smogs tags in santee at least they offer a free retest

These guys are great. Others state that their business hours are until 6:00 p.m. but not truthfully. In fact I called a couple of them like 20 minutes before they were supposed to close at 6:00 p.m. and all of them turned me down except these guys. They have my business forever. Also they are one of the only smog places that are open until 6:00 p.m. most close at 5:00 p.m. which makes no sense by the way since most people work past 5:00 p.m. Or at least until!
