About San Diego Humane Society's El Cajon Campus
San Diego Humane Society is our region’s safety net for animals in need. We provide the animal services for 14 cities: Carlsbad, Del Mar, El Cajon, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista. A national leader in animal welfare, we care for more than 40,000 animals annually by providing shelter, veterinary care, behavior training and more. We also contract with jurisdictions to provide animal control, lost and found, licensing and humane law enforcement services. SDHS creates a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. We are a private nonprofit organization, unaffiliated with any other humane society or SPCA.

Just adopted a cat named Snickers the other day. She instantly warmed up to us and is genuinely the sweetest cat ever. I’m so glad I came at the perfect time to find her. She’s the best little girl I’ve ever had.
