Training is inconsistent. You receive 3 different answers from 3 different employees. Lending practices are questionable. Be aware solar liens on your home. They are difficult to work with when trying to obtain a HELOC with another company. When I originally got the solar loan, the lien was downplayed and I was told it was only a lien on the solar panels. Not exactly true. Be careful and read the fine print. The people who work there are all very nice and try to be very helpful. But, I would Not recommend them.

These folks go above and beyond. I connected with them for a solar loan after my credit union of 25 years, Navy Federal, turned me down because my employment changed 18 months ago and they insist on 24 months of same employment. I applied for solar loan with Wheelhouse and all my other qualifications out weighed my length of employment and they didn't question my length of employment at all. In addition, their high interest rates on checking and term certificates - combined with their personal attention to details, I am preparing to move all my accounts to Wheelhouse. They give the personal attention lost years ago with banks and credit unions

DO NOT use this credit union for a solar loan. When we first applied, they caused delay after delay to process the loan. When we paid off the loan, they informed us that they had put a lean on our house, and that it was going to cost us $75 to remove the lean. No one bothered to tell us this when we first applied for the loan.

I was trying to find a different Bank and Google sent me the but the manager was so helpful trying to find a Bank for this check wich was from back East she wasn't able to find a Bank or check cashing place but did call the check issue were and ask them and they're the ones who said there is no Bank on the west coast for that particular check, and she didn't have to do that but she helped me out by just making all these calls for me I would recommend this credit Union and if I decide to open a new account I'm going to come to this credit Union to open an account

I’ve been a member of this CU for almost 40 years. It’s representatives are professional and helpful. Today was first time at El Cajon location. This location is as awesome as downtown branch. Great rates and great customer service.

I've had mostly bad experiences working to setup my solar loan. I finally got it in a state that I don't have to speak with them and they start spamming me manipulative mail marketing labeled "important, must open immediately". It's typical but what is not is that they won't stop.

I HATE this bank. They are rude, condescending and of no help whatsoever. Unfortunately i had to go through them for my solar loan with semper solaris. Nobody will help me set up electronic payment with sdccu so im going to have to walk in every two weeks and deal with these jerks. Whatever you do, stay away from this bank. They’re terrible.

Walked in on a Thursday afternoon. The young white woman with long hair and eyeglasses was one of the least friendly, courteous and professional bank tellers that I have ever encountered while visiting a bank. So much so, that when my husband and I walked out, the first thing that he commented was how rude she was. It wasn't just my personal misinterpretation. He observed her condescending attitude. The moment I entered the establishment she yells in a very patronizing and unprofessional manner straight across the lobby "Can I help you!!" It had to be the most awkward and unsettling introductions I have ever experienced while in a bank. I expect this type of behavior from a young teenager being forced to man the register at their family's convenience store, not a bank where professionalism should be at a 10. Today, it was a solid 3. This woman is paid to assist people in a polite and professional manner and she failed miserably. Why not put her in the back where she doesn't have to interact with other human beings. Suffice it to say, her negative energy was off putting and chances are management excuses her unprofessional behavior. No, I will not be returning to this location and I recommend others should not either.

The only reason this credit union hasnt collapsed is because they offer good rates. (Although they have had to change name-likely because of terrible service). I even gave them a few chances to make it up. But they're inept and rude and deceptive. They will get you in with good rates, then give the worst banking service Ive ever had in 40 years! At the beginning of a loan, my car insurance didnt get added because of something with website, and they tacked on a $2300 charge to cover me for 6 weeks, and never told me they were, nor let me know my insurance didnt get added. Never could get call backs, finally had to go in. Manager working there was so unprofessional and unknowledgeable of their own system--had to keep getting help from teller and was being so condescending to the teller. Lina is amazing, but she needs to transfer to a bank when they'll back up her loans with respect, integrity, and customer service. I have had perfect credit my whole life, and will strongly recommend anyone I know to pay the extra half point and go to any bank before Wheelhouse (or whatever they change their name to next). Multiple times I got letters that I owe a payment to them, because we set it up to pull from my account. Each time they had to fix it to be set up to pull from my account, even though it was set up that way at beginning. Calls were pointless--no one is knowledgeable and no one is empowered. One of my vehicles got totaled and my insurance company said they were the most inept bank to ever deal with regarding a payoff--and I totally agreed. I got all excited when the Director of Sales and Service called, thinking someone with authority and ability to right a wrong could help (Alyson Warner.) Yet all she did was tell me the same bs about how $2300 is normal for 6 week coverage and no way to reverse the charges. They need remove the word "Service" from her title. No surprise if at the top they cant help that no one under them can either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK, no matter their rates!

I want to give special thanks to Cheri Godinez (Sr. Member Service Rep) Cheri took over my loan process that could have been delayed for days, knowing I was on a short time limit between 2 jobs, she had everything prepared for me I was in and out within 30 minutes with a Check on hand for my new Car, Thank you for your professionalism, excellent customer service skills and Dedication. After shopping with multiple banks and CUs, I got the best rates for my car from wheelhouse credit union. On top of that service from everyone who came in touch with was remarkable. My loan officer Lina Ricasata was very supportive and very prompt and easy to reach throughout the whole task. She got the whole process done in 48 hours. When I went to downtown to pick up a check form the bank, she even help me find a parking spot and she went an extra mile and came out of the bank to make sure I park at the correct spot which is meant for the bank, so I would not be charged for the parking when I am there. I would highly recommend Wheelhouse CU for loan rate and overall excellent service. Thanks Lina and Wheelhouse.

I usually try to use the ATM for everything, but when I really have to go inside the bank I love seeing Angelica she's my favorite teller, she's always so nice she's just the best !!!

Every interaction I have had with Wheelgouse has been great. Knowledge people who truly care about getting it right. We did a solar load and car loan with them. Both were increasingly and complete. And great rates. 100% recommend using these guys.
