I had few questions about my account and the app on my phone so I decided to stop by , the recipient asked me to wait so I can be seen by a banker, took about 2 minutes and Heather Sutton introduced herself , took me to her booth and answered all my questions and helped me with my phone app . She was very helpful and professional. Thank you.

Excellent customer service! We were waiting in line for only a few minutes...Heather Sutton from financial services stepped over to offer her help. We updated our personal account info, she cut us a cashier's check and answered all our questions with a friendly smile and very professional service. Thank you Heather...glad to be SDCCU members!

This branch is trash. The tellers and security are all rude. I was in with my toddler and my hands were full. They were more concerned about my hat on my head than assisting me. My face was in full view and yet I was harassed repeatedly. Then the manager had the audacity to try to scold me. Do yourself a favor and go to any other branch. Complete trash.

Just joined this credit union and it's been a bad experience every step so far. Had to get them to re-issue the pin number for the debit card, that took two weeks, trying to get the card activated because the website doesn't work and the self-serve phone doesn't recognize the information you give. I had to call them directly for help, and they absolutely do not care. I'm already looking for another credit union.

I have banked at this branch for over 7 years and never had a single problem with the bank or the employee's until now. I have been greeted by the same extremally polite, professional and friendly guy named Detric. He has been there everyday that I have banked there and never been the least bit unpleasant or in any other mood but a great one. The last three times I have been there he has not which brought me to ask where he was to which I got the reply that he was no longer with them. Reason? Not able to give me one. SDCCU has truly lost one of there best assets. The guy who greats you leave the first impression. He should be brought back.

13 yo son worked his first day. Paid cash. He took Greenlight debit card to SDCCU ATM in El Cajon.Deposited $80 Into atm. Receipt says invalid. Money never went on his card or returned. Our mistake, guess he cant deposit with greenlight. We didnt know. Went inside. Manager inside said can't help u, u need to call greenlight. We Called Greenlight. They said it's SDCCU PROBLEM. called Sdccu. They said greenlight problem. Sdccu Then said go to el cajon branch Where we were initially refused help. The branch is 90 miles round trip. Sdccu said they are NOT willing to help us... so, my sons $80 is at bank atm but its gone. Wife and I have been with sdccu for over 10 years. Then this branch steals $80 and Jontel from customer support declined to help. Trash bank!

So my review is going to be blunt and straight to the point and at the same time it's going to address other yelpers that have had similar issues but in this case I'm going to include the names of the people that were involved. My wife who has been a member of San Diego County credit Union for a while had introduced my nephew to the union. He set up his account in Mira Mesa and walked out a very happy young man, until today!! My nephew went into the El Cajon location on Main Street and was waiting in line because he needed to pull out some money.A financial service representative by the name of Jodi Willhelm pulled my nephew out of line and said she will assist him. At that point she asked him to do several things as to remove his hat. Questioned him about his job and where he works and if he works. Jodi then proceeded to ask him how he originally set up his account with what type of identification. My nephew then indicated he set it up with a passport at the time and was working on getting his ca license since he just moved from Utah. He produced his California license which he just received and when he was putting it back in his wallet she thought she saw another California drivers license and accused him of having an extra one indicating that he was lying about how he originally set up his account and that he had false documents. At this point he literally felt belittled and treated unfairly. At that time my wife got involved and spoke with a manager Andrew who literally did nothing about the situation and all he could say was "sorry" I have never heard of a bank that has your money where you walk in and you are literally felt and treated like a criminal! This yelp review is just the beginning and I will definitely be contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding the actions of not only the bank but Jodi Willhelm.

In all my 30 years of life i have never ever experienced such racism in a branch literally will not help u and will turn ur card off if u request any refund they're very outdated and honestly mostly old folks use this credit union i suggest u wise up and go and open a navy federal and I'm not speaking for this branch every San Diego credit union has been trash and i mean the lack of customer service if ur not white washed is brutal sorry but not sorry u guys blatantly disrespect your younger ethnic customers and i really encourage all younger folks to stick with the basics don't let ur parents finesse u guys into this bank it is absolutely horrible literally about to empty my account and change over to Wells Fargo u guys are horrible

Came into the branch to see how long it would take to open up a new checkings account for my son. Was able to speak to a financial rep within 15 mins. Heather helped us out and was very friendly. She answered all my questions, was very knowledgeable and did not do any high pressure up selling. It was a pleasure working with her and made the sign up process very easy. Was out of there within 20 minutes and my son had his new debit card in hand

Avoid SDCCU - they refused to fix fraudulent charges even with proofavoid at all costs! Do NOT bank with SDCCU! If you can go to any other credit union do so! I had my card stolen back in 2017 and used in a completely different city than where I live - and in the middle of the week while I was at work. I have tried to fight this every single year since then, and ended up just paying the charge off to see if it would help. After that they kept refusing a pay for delete on my credit report. I have sent proof multiple times that the charge wasn't me and that I wasn't even physically near where the charge was made and they keep denying everything! This charge was made at a bar in LA on a Wednesday in September 2017, which I didn’t do because I had never been to that bar and I worked second shift in San Diego on weekdays (didn’t get off until 1am) throughout 2017. I provided proof like hardware test reports and my time card statements from that week to show that I was at work in San Diego and couldn’t have made it up there. I even tried getting in contact with the bar but no one responded and I’m sure they wouldn’t be able to provide proof I wasn’t there anyways.It's so hard to talk to anyone at SDCCU and they kept sending me to different people to talk to. I've emailed, called, and visited different branches but no luck at all. I’ve even filed a police report for card theft and SDCCU ignored it. I ended up emailing the CEO with disputes and proof because I can’t get anywhere with anyone, all they say is “sorry can’t help you” even when I explain that I can give them proof and try to show it!Do NOT use SDCCU if you want to bank with a reasonable organization!!!

Wow where do I start !! Came to this branch to get my husband pre-approved on a truck loan and Jodi Willhelm was the consultant for the transaction. Now mind you, we have been to so many car dealerships and have been sooooo thrown around by trying to get approved through their own financial route and I am soooo grateful for Jodi. Not only did she get him approved, I also got a loan! I am pregnant and was going to wait til closer to my due date to try to get a loan but she made this process so beautiful and easy omg!! I feel so relieved . If you are unsure about a car loan and dealerships make it seem like you will get approved through them no matter what....please come see Jodi first !!! We got a super low APR! Thank you for being so personable !! Finally don't feel like I got worked for a high interest rate. Everything felt honest and upright . Thanks again Jodi ! You made this growing family happy. Hope you don't leave SDCCU because you got repeat customers for life!!

Last year I joined the credit Union against big banking motto. A few weeks ago I entered this credit union in El Cajon. The line was long due to two tellers handling a noon time crowd. Finally when my turn came, I handed the teller my checks I wanted to deposit. She stared at me and I said "What"? She said she refuses to give me service unless I remove my baseball cap. I told her,"No" i've been waiting in this line for a while, i'm not removing my cap. The people in the line were yelling, so I removed my cap. I always set my cap to the back half of my head, so my face is exposed. These employees were rude, I'll never go back. They could have handled it better. I'm sure if a bank robber entered the bank, I'll bet he won't remove his cap, if asked.

Worthless company I do not recommend . they not supposed sell your important information to somebody else .that person call me I got all the information I just need your account number to give you a loan with a $15,000 sound like he was waiting for me and he was listening to me when I was at the bank two days before The incident and then he took the $3000 from a bank account . Don’t open a Bank account at this company . Do not recommend it ..
