Best Mercado around! Unbeatable prices, and the most friendly staff one could ever ask for! Food is quite enjoyable, although I don't order it often. Their breakfast burritos are worth it! They make an awesome variety of salsas as well and the Ceviche? AMAZING. Have to try! We love to get the Fajita de Pollo meat, Carne Asada, and Pollo Asado and all of them are top notch. Check it out!

I drive by this little place a lot. I finally stopped. Got Carnitas, rice and beans, green salsa and flour tortillas for my family. Bestest Carnitas dinner I have had in a loooooong time. So happy. Good prices. Nice staff. So surprised. Thanks

This small market located off Chase in East County may not look like much but is a great go to for order at the counter Mexican hot food, and groceries. They have fresh salsas, guacamole, a small (but fresh) bakery selection, and a full service meat counter. I needed hot food for 40 and they were able to make it for me on the spot in less than 30 minutes! The food is always great!

I didn't know they actually had hot freshly made food in the back. I ordered the Carne asada nachos and they were very delicious and priced lower than the usual taco spots. I also ordered the care asada family meal, which is a great and delicious bargain. You get lots of cooked meat, with rice, beans, tortillas and salsa. We had plenty leftovers afterwards.

Just from its outside appearance alone, this is the most uninviting market I've ever seen. I can't speak for anything else about it b/c I had no desire to step inside, and drove away instead.I have always loved mom-n-pop businesses, and I had high hopes about this little market after reading great reviews about Mexican food items they offer. They must have an incredibly robust base of loyal customers, b/c no matter how savory food items may be inside, their unsavory outside appearance is scaring all potentially new customers away.

I found this to be genuinely authentic in all they provided. Their corn masa was the best I’ve found comparison to other similar stores. 5 stars to them.

Salsas and the tortillas are always fresh! The crema mexicana is sold by lb which is great and the Oaxaca cheese too: delicious! This little market has everything! Produce is a little on the more expensive side, and doesn't look too fresh but it's nice to have a little Mexican market close by.

Less than one star. Tonight was the final straw with this place. In the last month we have ordered from here for the 4th time and the 4th time our order was wrong. I ordered a bean & cheese burrito add grilled chicken. Because I do not like the chicken burritos and I notice where do I get $24 basically of a bean burrito any chicken burrito which is bullshit

This store sell some good Torta bread and milanesa meat for the tortas. The carnitas and chicharron are good too and also the salsas. The tortillas are also good here too. My only issue is I'm in a wheelchair and the store is small and cramp no room for me to move around I'm bumping into people or shelves. Overall I like the store. Recommend it 100%

Best tortillas in San Diego! They used to be 75¢. That's how long I've been going.

Their house made chips get em! Ask about the warm tortillas in the back in the white cooler. If your lucky there will be some left. We also picked up some flour tortillas in plain packaging also taste homemade worker said they were really good brought em home and tried them she was right. The salsa variety is no wonder why it's in its name lots of variety from mild "table salsa" to " salsa quemada" xx to "salsa habenera" fresh made guacamole and all the green salsas too! Small place also has carnicería, deli of fresh already made ready to go food, fresh produce they have a little bit of everything a large grocery store might have only in a smaller space and probably better quality.

I wanted to buy fresh tortillas, made the traditional Mexican way. Con manteca—no olea de canola! I was not disappointed. The tortillas here are big, supple and delicious. If you bring a tortillero with you, they’ll fill it up and you won’t be swimming in bolsas plasticas.

I'm glad that places like this exist. It's a small place but lots of employees and great service.

This place never disappoints. I always have a good experience with the groceries I bring home and also the food from the cocina. I ordered a pollo asado burrito to eat at home and also picked up a few groceries while there. I ordered the burrito as is suggested with pico and guac. I was asked if I wanted mild or hot salsa. I opted for the heat. Let me say this burrito was delicious! The chicken pieces were small and packed with a ton of flavor and very juicy too. The guac and pico were a nice compliment and then adding the spicy sauce just took it over the top. The service was friendly at the cocina, the carnicero and also the registradora.
