These people have a gold standard equivalent to a dealer where you would buy your car. Without the bs. Slightly over priced but I guess that buys you piece of mind. A good experience with promises kept.

I can see why West El Cajon Automotive and Transmission gets such high ⭐️ ratings. I went in for a check engine light. Turns out their diagnostic machine is extremely thorough. Not only did they tell me that my car has a recall for this specific issue and they referred me in all honesty to go to the dealer first and then come back for any additional repairs that are needed. They inspected my car and made great recommendations for standard services and maintenance. I will definitely be coming back. I appreciate their thoroughness and honesty about pricing, what they can do and how they can help. Thank you so much, highly recommend!

Best AC and oil change shop in San Diego. Great service! Ask for manager Ken at the west El Cajon location. It’s worth the drive! ken is straight forward, responsive, aware and timely!

2006 Jeep Wangler main seal replacement, steering box and cracked fill plug well in transmission. Rusty and frozen bolts made it all harder. The the service tech Chris and the mechanic were great. Very happy with results.

Needed service for my car and wanted to stay local, so I tried this auto repair. Chris called me after the initial inspection and gave me an assessment of items that needed attention, explained everything in detail for me to understand the issues. I feel very glad to have found a service that is in my town to keep me from having to drive all across San Diego for reliable service.

They put the ZOOM, ZOOM back in my 2015 Mazda CX5.
I put off doing the major maintenance on my vehicle for several years due to health issues. I knew there was lots to catch up on and very happy I brought my car to West El Cajon Automotive. They gave me a thorough inspection and helped me prioritize what issues needed to be done soon and what could be done later.
I feel like I got the best quality and value for the work that needed to be done. Glad to know that my car will be a little safer.
Best part of all, they offered to drive me home so I didn't have to wait in the shop.
Great team all around, glad to know they exceeded my expectations and lived up to the reputation from others.

Excellent customer service. Ken was extremely helpful and ensured the process was well communicated. Much appreciated. Jesus the shuttle driver is a very friendly and competent driver. He has excellent customer service. Overall I am very happy with the experience. I will recommend them to family and friends.

I didn't have an appointment with them but they took me in and made room for me
I had 2 belts replaced which cost $541.00 and change They were professionals
Now because I was in the hospitality field for years and dealt with high end clientele I notice the "small" things in customer service
For example when I dropped my vehicle off they DID NOT indicate to me thar had a courtesy car available to take me Home or ? I saw the vehicle outside and I had to ask them THAT should have made known to me at the desk
Also they could have asked me if I needed a ride the next day back to the shop which they didn't I had to call and request a ride
So their customer service was only average I was not wowed
We will see how my vehicle runs and go from there

It was a great experience, I have taken my vehicle to another mechanic, they did not fix the problem, I bought it to west el Cajon automotive and the fixed the problem ....
