It's alright, off the freeway quite a bit and the 1/4 mile walk to the mall for a bathroom isn't the greatest. There's no trash cans here. There's not much space for dogs to go out either.

There were 2 different kinds of chargers. We looked but couldn't figure out what these pictured were. There are plenty of the usual chargers so we used them just curious what the difference is.

This location has lots of issues that won’t be obvious at first. First, and most importantly, several of the charging ports simply do not work. You can plug-in, but they won’t provide any charge to your vehicle and it’ll take a sec to realize this if you aren’t paying close attention to the app. Also, the charging areas are designed poorly. If you pull all the way into these parking spots the charging cord will not reach your charging port all the way at any of the stations. Bathrooms still will be a significant hike from the actual charging area. Do not opt for the gas station, it has a perpetual line and key situation for the only single occupancy, unisex, bathroom at the facility. Even though we are talking, the absolute most brutal desert environment that exists in the entire United States, you will not find a shade structure or tree in the entire charging area, mall parking lot, or for miles around in the city of El Centro, for that matter. Plan to charge around / by avoiding this one, if you can.

This is right next to the mall, near the Macys entrance. This was a good stop, especially during mall hours. We charged to max during a road trip and there was plenty to do in the mall to keep us occupied. For the kiddos, there's an arcade. Across the way from the arcade was a cafe/bakery which was perfect to fill up on coffee. Not sure if the stop would be worth it if the mall were closed.

The free-standing charger islands are slower than the stalls. The stalls are very fast. Bathrooms are a good distance away. The nearby mall is not very busy.

Some weren't charging at full speed. Took a few tries to get a good one. Gas station and a bar within a short walk made it convenient

Not impressed at all. The charger is ok but the location really has a lot to be desired. There is a gas station but if your disabled it is not close. It's just chargers on the end of a parking lot. If I have to park for 40 minutes it's at least nice to get a drink and use the restroom.

Slower chargers and nothing immediately around the chargers. There’s the mall but it may be closed.

The larger Tesla chargers are older and charge slower, so I don't recommend using those. The newer Tesla chargers worked great! We charged early so there weren't many stores open but there is a Mini Mart within walking distance by the gas station.

I think most of these are 72kW chargers. I could only get ~57kW for my P85D with 20 miles remaining on two different ones the same day. No other cars were charging

It's normally kept clean and it is a high usage charger, to help out they put temporary chargers to help with the load. Haven't had to wait to charge yet.

I presume this charger would be great during the day, but if you are traveling in the middle of the night, and you need to use the restroom, you can't! Because the mall is closed and The restroom at the gas station is out of order and the bar next door only allows customers to use their restrooms.

Very slow 72kwh charger, Mall bathrooms close at 9 PM and the gas station and bar only allow bathroom access to customers

So making my way to San Diego and I’ve stopped at this charger before. Key insight make sure you check how many kW each charging bay give as all are different. The Google Maps description says 120kW but the fastest one I found was giving me about 74kW. The others were twice as slow giving me only 35kW. I ended up at the second stall when you pull in (Black Model Y) and that was the fastest cutting my wait time by 50%. So note to all Check all open charges if your getting a very slow charge on one. It could save you a lot of time. Cheers!Edit: Jumped up to 135kW once the Model x next to me left (see pic)!!!

We had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours to get enough charge to get back to San Diego. Definitely needs at least double the charging stations and double the power. There was 8 cars waiting
