Avoid EL Cerrito DMV, go to another branch. The staff or their system made a large error. DMV blamed their "system". They said they know they have a "glitch" YET they intentionally make fixing THEIR error incredibly time consuming and difficult. THEY admit THEY MAKE the error and to add insult to injury they provide the WORST customer service known to man. The Wednesday July 26th 12:15pm supervisor was pure BARBARIC TRASH. Avoid! Thankfully there are other DMV's.

Doesn’t matter when you go there, there are always plenty of people in a lone like any other dmv in California. They all sucks. People’s time must be respected!

There is no clear instruction process, it just makes you guess, or it is all lumped together, which is an unnecessary waste of time and taxpayers' money.

Terrible !
They need to start just helping people as they come in instead of asking them for all there documents then making them sit and wait it’s backwards.
They are always understaffed
and the staff members they have just sit and eat .
They also don’t make it very comfortable for individuals with disabilities .
This place is a disaster avoid this location if you can 30+ computers and desk in the facility and only three workers at a a time and 5 eating snacks for hours just sitting like logs
help 2-4 people than just sit and eat for an hour

I don’t understand why dmv only hires sloths. Getting a picture taken should not take 5 hours. They love to waste people’s times.

I had done the appointment online and got there and waited for an half an hour. I was told I came early to come back after half an hour even though the line was very long. I came back again waited for another 20 minute and couldn't get an answer and eventually had to leave!!

They have changed the procedures for many procedures, making it difficult to complete procedures. It was easier before when everything was done at the windows. Now they want people to do everything by phone or internet and not all people know how to use the internet. Please make the procedures easier for us. DMV help us because the automated system is horrible, confusing and inefficient.

This is the worst place on earth. Waited 2+ hours even with an appointment. And the staffs are so rude that they basically can not understand anything other than a few “magic lines” of their job description. It doesn’t feel different from talking to a low resolution bot. And they also mess things up!!!

Worse DMV experience ever. Unclear direction for people who’s waiting for the road test and the clerk gives wrong instruction causing us waiting in the wrong line and missed the check in time.
