This place is amazing been coming here for sometime these past couple years. Great people great prices. Everyone is so helpful and kind. My girl usually is terrified at the vet and can barely do an exam but she was fine today. The vet is so sweet and calm. Love her energy. Thank you Petvet!!

Bad customer service everytime i go,went to get my dogg last rabies shots and got banned cause i left a honest review after standing in line for an hour, not only that one of the workers handing me a copy of the review which I thought was funny and sad at the same time, another time while waiting for my number to be called for shots I had called the front desk to see what number they were on and someone answered and said like 10 and i didn't trust it so my wife called right back and some one different answered and said they were on 24 and we were number 22. they need to look into that bad customer service instead of banning customers for leaving an honest review. if they are so unhappy with there job which I understand why I suggest getting a better education so they can get a career and a better job they like

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCE! I came to by he store Monday to buy something. Mins later I came back for a return because I didn't need it anymore the workers who were working that day told me to come back Wednesday that the manager was and he was the only one who can do the returns ... so I came back Wednesday and the manager was rude and disrespectful!!! Didn't want to help me at all .. Sad part , the manager of this place said store couldn't loose money $17.99

The staff are often talking to each other, not paying attention to customers, and don't use the phrase "thank you." They also often don't help me bag my items, and I've spent up to 120$ at one time there. Its a mad house when the vet is there. Its really too bad they are the only store I've found that has my kitties specialty food.

Been coming here for 21 years. It's still my favorite pet store. And I love being able to see a vet on Friday and Saturdays. They are very affordable, I tell Everyone to come here. They used to have a store in Oakland. Not sure if they still do, but the vet was there I believe Sunday and Monday.

I arrived with my two kittens for vaccines at 12:45pm. I filled out the clipboard and waited in my car in the parking lot for my number to be called (92). The parking lot is tiny so I was lucky to get a spot. The receptionist said I should take about an hour since they were on #60 so I was hopeful since I waited several hours at their Oakland location for an exam a couple weeks ago. I ended up waiting 1 hour 45 minutes to be called. The vaccination process took less than a minute (rabies and FVRCP). Excellent prices if you are patient!

Each and every time my sister in law drives up there from very far away, she gets exceptional service from all the staff. There's not one time she has complained and that's always great to hear as customer service elsewhere has gone down. She generally orders the pet food ahead of time because she buys a large quantity but even at last minute, they have a very large variety to choose from. Excellent customer service all around and very knowledgeable staff!

Get your affordable pet exams and vaccinations here if you're willing to be patient and wait a couple of hours :) No need to wait weeks or months for an appointment like you would for some other clinics. The clinic at the El Cerrito location is open on Friday & Saturday from 10am-3pm. The store itself opens at 9am, but it's recommended to start lining up at 8/8:30am, since they only do 30 exams and 80 vaccinations per day. I started lining up at 8am on a Friday and was #4 to get an exam. Pro tip: Bring a chair! I didn't think of it but thankfully the sweet person in front of me had an extra chair for me. They called us at around 10:45am. They weighed Alfie, checked his eyes, teeth, heartbeat, and also prescribed him flea medication. The vets seemed to be an older woman and man (not sure if they are a couple), but they were so sweet! They also fed Alfie lots of treats. Since adopting Alfie almost two years ago, I hadn't taken him for a checkup so it was nice to get some peace of mind for my baby boy.

Knowledgeable staff, long wait. Thank you for offering a low cost vaccine option. I really appreciate it.I got there at 10:15 on a Friday in the summer and got assigned a number in the 40s for vaccines. They told me I would probably get called around noon, and it was accurate. There were no parking spots in their lot in the morning, but there were plenty in the afternoon. If you live nearby I would recommend arriving without your pet in the morning to sign in and get a number and then returning with your pet later. It’s not obvious what to do when you arrive: walk up to the counter and fill out a form. Remember the number they give you and then come back when your number is called. They’ll announce it in the parking lot, but they won’t call your phone. If you miss your turn you’ll be the next in line any time before 3pm that same day. I got called at 12:15 and was done with two vaccines (the max you can get typically) by 12:45.The vet staff was knowledgeable and helped me we determine which were the best vaccines to do that day and how to space them out. The whole session involved some waiting: to figure out which vaccines, go get them, enter the paperwork, and pay. So be prepared if you have an anxious pet—in total we were in the store for 30 min.Note: they’re only doing 30 pet exams per day so get there early to secure a spot. They were seeing exam #12 around 12:30. As long as you do a weight check with them once a year, you can pick up prescription preventable meds for the store any day, not just on the clinic days.
