Limited hours and short staff but wait often less that the horribly understaffed post office on Solano Av .
We need the Postal Setvice BUT there are forces that want to privatize that will raise prices and worsen services for a lot of rural and suburban areas and benefit private interests .
Best to have a well funded efficient public post office setvice and private services , as they do now , serve the rest.

Out of the post offices in Berkeley/El Cerrito area this one is by far the worst. The hours don’t match up with that’s posted. I’ve entered several times to an empty building, I’ve called out to anyone, pressed a door bell button in the rear of the stoop near the PO Boxes, and no one responds.

The employees here were nice. Unfortunately, the USPS has lost my priority mail, and it seems it may take up to 60 days to process my attempt to find out what happened.

This is my favorite USPS now! I went there to get a package shipped out to New York. Margarita helped me get the most convenient option, she was patient and walked me through every step of the way. She answered all my questions and helped me out through the entire process. I have never got this level of high customer service at USPS!

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a post office in my 56 years of life. I walked in at 4:39 p.m. on January 10th 2024 and one of the customer service representatives stated that they were closed a person walked in not one second before me and she was able to be seen. It says on Google that it closes at 5:00 every other post office closes at 5:00 except obviously the one in El cerrito near Nations down the street from Lucky's.The woman was so rude extremely rude customer service is very poor. I am so upset right now. I had to mail off some time sensitive items I thought I was getting here in enough time if it closes at 4:30 it should be stated that it closes at 4:30. On the door it says 5:00 now what. I have to mail off is going to be late thank you very much United States Post office El cerrito down the street from nations up the street from Lucky's thank you very very much!!!!!!!

The two employees at this post office are HORRIBLE. I got there at 4:10 pm on a Tuesday (the website indicated that the closing time was 5 pm). There were four customers in front of me. At 4:25 pm, one of the employees announced that they were closing "in five minutes." What?? All of us that were already IN LINE assumed that the employees would at least take care of us, but no. Right at 4:30 pm, the employees closed their windows and told people to leave. Only government employees can get away with this type of "customer service." The US post office has no competition, so the employees can do whatever they want.

This is by far the worst service I’ve ever received from customer service in general. Not one but two employees at this facility don’t know how to communicate without blatant hostility. Extremely disappointed and not surprised considering the reviews on this location.

This location does list the hours properly and bc the door is open and the payment kiosks are on - it’s unclear if anyone is just taking a break in the back. Not going to waste my time again with this location not knowing when they are open

The hours are incorrect. As of 7/11, this location is not open on weekends and on weekdays they close at 430pm. Whoever is responsible for updating hours should update this. Thank you!

Extremely low customer service especially the Hispanic lady was very dismissive and down right throwing my stuff. Definitely not coming back here.
