It's Saturday & the line to get into the building for teller service is around the building!! Either get more people to work on Saturday (for more than 3 hrs) here at Ek Cerrito or get neighboring branches to open on Saturday!!!

Went in last week and there was only one Teller open and a line of about 15 people. Not wanting to wait 30-45 mins in line, I decided to come back this week, and today there were two Tellers open but the line was about 20 people. A man in a suit passed me, and I assumed he was the manager. I asked him when would be a good time to come when there wasn't such a long wait. He said that now is a good time and that it gets worse later in the week. I asked him why the short staffing, and he said it was because of other branch closures and that there were struggling as a result. I again left without doing my transaction.

I came in around noon and there was a line almost out the door, and there were only 2 tellers. I have literally never been to a Wells Fargo that is properly staffed with enough tellers. The employees are very kind, but Wells Fargo as a whole needs to hire more people. This is consistently a problem no matter what time of day I come in. Really disappointing experience every time I have to go into the bank. :(

I've always had good customer service at Wells Fargo whenever we've had bank business to discuss.

This place always has 1 bank teller with a line out to the the door, there are workers walking around just watching the slow ass line move. Takes 30 minutes to an hour to do a simple task

My appointment is at 10:30am on 10/20/23 at 9800 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito Branch to open a new account. I have been waiting until 10:40am, no one services me. One of the banker keeps telling me to wait and don’t want to do his work. He is holding a cup of coffee and walking around branch. I feel so disappointed. I finally left the branch. Their customer service is awful ?; very bad. If you cannot make it on time, don’t let people making the appointments. My time is important too.

Like many others said, there are always only 2 tellers working during the busiest hours. It’s frustrating. It’s every time. There are usually 4-6 bankers at their desks, 2 tellers, and 2-4 people walking around in the back. Why doesn’t Wells Fargo management do anything instead of just saying the same thing in the replies? Is it that they can’t find enough workers? That would at least help explain. If you are ever in need of a quick transaction, don’t come here. Plan at least 30 minutes out if your day. Very similar to the slowness at an AT&T store.

Drive thru ATM is ok but don't come here at 11am in a weekday. Obviously everyone is coming during lunch but wouldn't you staff accordingly? Why don't banks have a "take a number" ticket system so elderly customers can sit instead of standing in line. Let everyone just relax until their number is called. Khalid is awesome - was very nice trying to help my father with his credit card payment.

Waited in line for over an hour. The line went to the parking lot. The time was between 12-1pm. Not sure if the bankers were on lunch so I came back around 1:30. Waited in line another 30 mins and gave up. Drove to the location in Emeryville and noticed the line was empty. One of the bankers told me they only have one teller and they'll be back at 2:30. Very unsatisfied with this slow service

Ugh! Hugh lines. Only two tellers on duty (out of 9) during peak hours. And each customer spends a median of 8 minutes at a teller (not counting time in line).Hire more tellers during peak hours, or bring bankers over to help... If there was stuff we could do as the ATM we'd already have done it.

Have been a member of Wells Fargo in El Cerrito for decades. To evaluate it as NO GOOD would a an understatement. Went to the bank to see an officer for a brief question. Did not have an appointment but there were just a few people waiting for officers. Waited well over 2 hours Wanted conformation that I had paid IRS for my last tax return. At a WF employee told me that they were busy snd I possibly could POSSIBLY come back ONE and ONE-HALFF or TWO WEEKS weeks later. When I protested saiid that I wanted to withdraw all of my nomey from the bank (is close to 100k)m an employee immediately said she would give me paperwork but DIS NOT! A male employe about 5"05, saw me, looked up my needed paperwork and provided me with the needed paperwork in JUST A FEW MINUTES. Will still withdraw each an every of my my money from Wells Fargo. If note, the manager was out of the bank and perhaps was gone the entire day. A quick and simple request for paperwork that only took 1 minute was totally ignored. When I asked to withdraw all of my money from the bank, the employees seemed very casually ready to give me a withdrawal paperwork but also DID NOT give me the documents. The WF employee who resolved my problem after just ONE MINUTE is awesome but the rest of the employees and the bank are unacceptable, Could also have accepted making an ointment for a future date but hey never offered that option. Wells Fargo is totally unacceptable!WAs pretty vocal while I was walking out of the bank and verbally said I am taking ALLl of my money out of this bank!. I want the paperwork to close al of my accounts NOW! Never got the paperwork. Obviously they do not care about professionalism or courtesy! Correction, THEY DO NOT CARE!

This bank is such a piece of garbage. There is a 30-60 min line out the door 50% of the time it is open. There is zero urgency inside as this is happening. It's Wells Fargo, so I don't expect much concern for human suffering, but this place is especially calloused.

I try to avoid this particular Wells Fargo bank in the El Cerrito Plaza as much as possible because of the very slow service and constant long lines. This recent trip saw a line of half a dozen customers in line to the entry, and only two windows open. There was a white hair Boomer on one window telling the teller her whole life story for half an hour. Totally oblivious she was holding everybody up in line. They should have a special hour at the bank just for senile old people so they don't waste other people's time! This one teller served just one customer and the other teller worked the whole line, where was the branch manager on duty? This is unacceptable for a bank to have long lines because they don't have a special hour or window just for geriatrics which there's a lot of here. Other customers have things to do instead of wasting time in a long line!
