Browns Ravine is a popular spot in the El Dorado Hills area known for its great mountain biking and hiking trailheads, as well as convenient watercraft storage and launching. The area offers plenty of trailer parking and access to the water, with a boat/trailer wash available nearby. While the parking lots are mostly asphalt and could use re-paving, visitors find the location worth it due to its scenic views and outdoor activities. The scenery is beautiful, especially at sunset, making it a recommended spot despite the rocky shoreline not being ideal for relaxing or fishing. Restrooms are decent, with portable options available. Dogs are welcome, and the entrance fee is $12. On busy weekends, the docks can get crowded, and some visitors suggest adding a longer or second dock. Overall, Browns Ravine is appreciated for its scenery, trail options, and accessibility for water activities.
It has and absolutely beautiful walking trail. Complete with a little bridge that goes over a small stream.

It's really Rocky. Not really great for if you want to lay out a towel and relax. But it's a nice place for scenery. Not great for fishing.

Pleanty of trailer parking east to get in and off the water. There is a boat/trailer tuck wash at blue ravine and Folsom Blvd for when you get off the water. I’ve been coming here for years I would like a second doc or a longer one as it can get busy on the weekends.
