I have been a member for almost 2 decades now, and always felt it to be my business responsibility to be a part of the chamber of commerce in our community. “Fat Kitty City is tucked away on serene country property in El Dorado Hills. The outdoor space is full of little houses and hideaways for the cats to enjoy. It is very well-kept and clean. Visitors are greeted by adult kitties who are very friendly and eagerly await pets and chin scratches. The volunteers know all of them and know their personalities. They can help you find your perfect companion based on activity level, and demeanor. We have dropped of donations there and the staff/volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable. My dad ended up adopting one of their adult rescue cats from Petsmart in 2014 and she was the sweetest cat ever. (She passed away recently) Fat Kitty City inspired our family to become caretakers of a feral colony in our neighborhood and has provided us with resources through the Humane Society for spaying/neutering and also have given us food for them.If you are looking for a wonderful kitty (or two) please consider adopting from Fat Kitty City. It is an amazing organization and they care so much about our community and the cats who live in it. If you are looking for a meaningful place to volunteer with or to donate to- Fat Kitty City is a worthy cause.”
