6 years after an office visit to Dr Matozians office I receive 2 bills in the mail. This is the first of any notice of a balance of any kind. One for my son and another for my wife! I called the office and I'm told 3 of my family members from 6 years ago have balances from 6 years ago. Keep in mind we haven't been to this office in 5-6 years because our dr that was there left years ago too. I'm assuming this office never submitted our visits to insurance back then. Horrible record keeping!

This doctor’s staff are not accommodating to patients, you have to wait for a physical, appointments are months later for a physical and will not renew meds until they see you. I don’t mind changing mid way, but I was turned down for all renewals before my physical was 2 months away. You can not go with more than one medical problem, therefore you have to make several appointments. If you have a sore neck, and a blood pressure, you have to make two separate appt so, they only want copays for each problem you have .if they don’t want to bother they send you to urgent care. Going to let my insurance know what a scam this facility is. I am trying to find another doctor. Not easy during these times.

Dr Matossian and her staff are always quick and responsive to my health care needs, quick to cut referrals when needed and take all the time necessary to answer questions and address concerns during visits. Dr Matossian is very experienced and a great listener. I also trust her PA and NP when she is unavailable as they are also very experienced and caring. The inter office communications are excellent so everyone knows what is happening in the process of acquiring services.

Dr. Matossian is an excellent doctor and caring person. She doesn't hesitate to spend the requisite amount of time with you. If there's an issue you're having she will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of it. She's a real gem for our EDH/Folsom area.

I was seeing dr Matozian for 8 years. I have to say she changed. It's very hard to see her or make an appointment when you need a doctor. They pass you to the nurse which is sometimes not enough. Everyone you talk about different issuers in one session, they tell you you need another appointments for different problems. I am sure if I make an appointment for Botox or any beauty work that she does, she will show up. Last time that I decided to change my primary care it was be use of a recommendation letter that I needed for the gym referring that I have been under their care as a high risk patient. They have me a hand written letter that had a few mistakes and charge me $15 for this stupid letter. What practice is like that? She used to be a very knowledgeable and caring doctor but obviously change to more like business women.

Linda has always been awful in the front office. We stuck it out because we do like Matossian when we can see her and Kelly is great as well. My college daughter has been trying to get a refill on her prescription for a month and been getting the run around from the front office. They finally tell her she needs an apt. We book it and decide to fly her out. DAYS before her appointment they call her to tell her they are no longer contracted with our insurance. When I called Linda said they have known for weeks and yet have been giving us the run around. They never even thought to give their patients notice until it is time to cancel an appointment. Now my daughter is still without a prescription and a Dr. I also gave Linda a negative review back in 2015. Wish we left back then and we wouldn't be in this mess. Oh and not the cleanest office either, they have dogs that roam free (literally bring them to work). We don't even see that at our veterinarians office. I had the little dog (yes there are more than one) once locked in the patient room with me while I waited to be for someone to come in. Very unprofessional and a bit awkward.

I don't get all the negative reviews. Dr. Matossian is not going to sugar coat things and is a no BS doctor. However she utilizes modern, traditional and alternative medicine in order to provide the best care possible. This open mindedness is fairly rare in a physician! And for the reviewer who complained about the dogs in the office, I love seeing them there. There is also plenty of research that shows that pets have a very positive influence on human health. So I suspect you are out voted there. I live in Sac and have been going here for 15+years, never had a bad experience of any kind and I have no plans to ever change!

I have been a patient of Dr. Matossian for about 8 years. She is one of the most thorough physicians I have ever had the privilege of being treated by. Since she only does annual physicals on Wed's it may be scheduled out a ways, but totally worth being seen by her, just plan ahead to schedule. My experience is that If you have an appointment for a specific issue, you are scheduled within a week typically and she is quick to order labs or other tests and imaging as needed. She also reports back to patients as soon as she has test results. I couldn't be happier with her professionalism and patient concern.

So many negative reviews I had to jump on and speak in defense of our experience. First off- ASK to make an appointment with the doctor don't just complain you never get to see her -she's very busy and you may have to wait a while to get that appt -so plan ahead if you can. Second- my 15 year old daughter said doc Matossian made her want to become a doctor after that first mtg. A mix of charm sass and intelligence - that's my daughter also. Third- our pediatrician retired a number of years ago And although I left multiple messages with our doctor to get all of our children's medical records before the pede retired, they didn't. So instead of trying to start re-vaccinating for everything, Matossian ordered titer tests and suggested we do the vaccines slowly so she'd have a record but body not overwhelmed. Forth- My family and I have seen 2 nurse practitioners multiple times. Kelly is funny and easy going and really listens. Emily is sweet intelligent and thorough. Perhaps the office/doc has read the old reviews and made changes but we never have to wait more than 15 mins which is standard anywhere. They've always been courteous and helpful. That's my and my families experience. I don't want to leave this review bc I don't want this practice to get so many customers that I can never get in quickly but defn felt like there needed to be a balance to all the negatives when I've had such a good experience with everyone here over our last doctor.
