My son is in his second year at Golden Hills School, and we could not be happier with the education he is receiving. We chose GHS for our son largely because they do teach a curriculum that is advanced (a grade level ahead), and we have seen our son grow so quickly in his reading, writing, and math skills. Thanks to his teachers in JK and Kindergarten, he is developing a true love of learning, and he is constantly asking us questions about math and Spanish, and loves reading new words all the time. We also love that GHS offers exceptional enrichment classes, including Spanish, technology, art, music, theater, and daily P.E. Another thing our family appreciates about this school is the diverse community of welcoming families, and many opportunities to get involved. We look forward to many more years at GHS.

We strongly feel this school denied admission to our 5 year old Kindergartener due to prejudice. Their teacher intentionally assessed our 5 year old to an advanced level of reading using 1st grade curriculum on purpose to not offer admission to begin with. After the "assessment" was done their kindergarten teacher laughingly joked saying how every second kid applying to their school is mostly "_______ race" and how she "wishes" it was different. The "assessment" included testing our 5 year old child's ability to read words like "snippets". The teacher even admitted she used 1st grade material to assess deliberately. This so-called "assessment" of theirs looked intentionally designed by this teacher to fail our 5 year old child for Kindergarten admission and based on this teacher's so-called "joke" we concluded that something else is possibly a factor in that decision. Their behavior felt prejudiced to us. We thought schools are a place of learning and knowledge and the last institutions who do such things, but we were wrong.

Amazing school! My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience at Golden Hills. The teachers and staff's commitment to excellence and academic success for their students is superb!GHS is a very academic environment but the teachers make learning fun and accessible for the kids. I would highly recommend this school to any family who is looking for solid academic foundation and a grounded environment for their child.

I have two kids in this school. Collectively, they have attended GHS for the last six years. I have nothing but good to say about all aspects of this school. The only negative I would add is that the Spanish program is not as strong as I would like it to be. In response to some earlier posts about certain teachers behavior, specifically Mrs. Singer, I would not disagree more. Mrs. Singer is one of the most loving and caring teachers ever. My kids both love her. I have never seen her react inappropriately in years I have been involved in this school. My wife and I are very active in the school and become aware of "drama" very quickly. None have surfaced about Ms. Singer. I highly recommend this school to all. Small classroom sizes allow for very close attention from teachers to the students. Many extracurricular activities are available. No drama school with zero tolerance for bullying, great curriculum and excellent environment for civility and growth for our kids.

Voted "Best Private School" 7 years in a row! My three kids and I LOVE Golden Hills School. The teachers and staff are caring and they provide a very nurturing and positive environment. It's a very academic school with an emphasis on good character. The small class sizes ensures that every child gets the attention he/she need and is challenged to do their best. I realize that every kid is different and no ONE school can the right for everyone. It has truly been a blessing for us. They have gained a great foundation to be successful thank you GHS!

Our family loves GHS! Its excellent teachers and commitment to each child's individual success is exactly what we want for our son, who is now in 5th grade. Mrs. Singer, a FABULOUS kindergarten teacher, was his first teacher and put him on the road to a successful academic career. GHS also has a strong history with teaching science and math. For example, this year GHS took 2nd place overall in the region-wide Science Olympiad, with our students taking home several 1st place medals. We highly recommend GHS!

Amazing community of teachers, administrators, and teachers. Our daughter looks forward to learning everyday at GHS. We particularly appreciate the after hours enrichment program. The school is wonderfully managed and the kids have such an awesome environment to learn and grow in.
