I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience. On 7/16/25, I brought my son in for a haircut. Unfortunately, his regular stylist--who is great with kids and always does a good job--was on break. Another stylist stepped in, and during the haircut, she ended up cutting the skin on the back of his neck. Her only explanation was that he was moving, but I was there the entire time and didn't see him moving much at all. Honestly, anyone working with children should anticipate some movement and know how to handle it safely. What upset me the most was the complete lack of accountability--no apology, no concern, just dismissal. This is not my son's first haircut, and we've never had an incident like this before. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. Please be cautious when choosing a stylist here, especially for children. I didn't get the names of the stylists involved, but I'll update this review if I do.

Good price and senior discount. They follow my instructions for short and even all over. Very short wait and never bother with a reservation.

It's always a risk because one never knows what hairdresser you're going to get at Great Clips (and I've had a couple that were less than ideal), but after today's cut at the El Dorado Hills (across the freeway from Town Center), I was thrilled! Thanks, *Sophia!*, for listening to me so carefully, asking all the right questions, and giving me a premium cut! I'm delighted!!

Good haircut for the price and they are always pretty quick. Never wait more than 15 minutes here.

15 minute wait time turned into well over half an hour. Don't waste your time with the online check-in, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Came in today for a simple trim and shaping, the lady did not provide me her name so I cannot give the stylists name I saw but she was an older woman who said she had been cutting hair for 30+ years… she sprayed my hair with a product I read was for CURLY HAIR then sprayed water lightly over it where my hair was half wet and half dry. I had to point out several spots she missed and she did not take the criticism well. She took my apron off, pushed my head forward a little too rough and CUT MY HAIR ALL OVER MY CLOTHES. She didn’t even get the uneven parts and tried to fluff my hair up before cutting it. She scoffed when I ended up using a coupon and could only leave a dollar tip. I shouldn’t have left anything. I will not be going to a great clips ever again. I wouldn’t suggest going here either. My hair is grossly uneven I now have to pay AGAIN to get it fixed… do better great clips

They gave my son the worst haircut in the free world, complete with bald spots. I couldn't send him to school like that. I had to clip all his hair off with a number 2 clipper just to remove the mangy rat look. Yikes! never again.

I would recommend the Cameron park location over this particular location as one of the stylists here seemed to struggle with cutting a straight line. The person before my haircut kept saying the line wasn’t straight on the back of the haircut, I decided to risk it anyways and ended up with an uneven haircut too. Both hairstyles were very simple, no layers or anything, so I would think there shouldn’t be as many issues as there were.

Wow, just got butchered badly here, stay away... went from bad to worse as she started asking for help, I should have just stood up and stoped the cut at that point... but they tried to fix it and made it worse. She blamed my cowlick , but that's why I asked for it to be longer... she cut it to short exposing the cowlick, then decided to keep cutting back and forth , both sides to hide until I had a bad buzz on the sides with a patch of hair on top.. Take a look at the pics, I showed her a picture of what I wanted , and here is what I got.
