“I'd say it's a nice place to go to for a small morning/afternoon outing. It has more of a botanical garden vibe compared to other nurseries; a little bit of everything that's scattered and not strictly placed in long rows. Might not find a specific plant that you're looking for but still high chances of impulse buying something! Kinda wished the houseplant section in particular was more extensive seeing that it's located in such a spacious building. Still, neat to see a couple of uncommon plant varieties. Very fairly priced plants in general btw (decently sized monstera Thai constellations that are less than $40, hello???). There's also a robust, meal-service cafe here (High Hand Cafe; it has its own Yelp listing if you want more info about it). No trouble finding parking in the lot on a weekday but I can see folks having to resort parking on the street especially during peak cafe times like Sunday brunch.”

“Had better shopping experience here in contrast to the now-closed location by the Fountains. Though staff are busy, they take time to ask customers if they need help finding anything in the nursery. One of the staff provided more information about Evergreeens more than I can find on the internet. They also participate in giving away free Christmas Trees for military families during the holidays.”

“I needed help with replanting my orchid that my daughter gave me as a gift. I was greeted with a smile by Ms. Vicky. She was definitely a ray of sunshine and gave knowledgeable advice. She knows a lot about plants and different types of soil that your plants can grow and strive. The value of well cared for plants and excellent hands on customer service is superior. This a charming place with great vibes and worth visiting.”

“I had such a good experience with valley rock, that I had to write a review. The place that I normally go to didn’t have the material that I need, valley rock had the 1 1/2 inch drain rock, and it was a good price to. I had to do multiple loads, they were very quick. When it comes to buying landscape material, I’m used to dealing with people that just don’t seem to care, or even sometimes rude. The gals at Valley rock were super nice and responsive, thanks so much for an awesome experience.”

“We went to get soil for my garden and some other garden accessories. Excellent service and flagstone more dense than the Arizona slate I've worked with in the past years and the price is excellent. I highly recommend this store”

“I went to Home Depot on a very busy day to purchase custom cut blinds. Mark in the flooring department went well out of his way to help me. He did an excellent job and prevented me from accidentally purchasing blinds that wouldn't have fit in our window space. Before him Mary and Cliff (prior employees) had also gone above and beyond to help me. Mark is a true asset to the store ensuring customers like me return again and again!”

“I walked into the El Dorado Hills Home Depot because I was working on a project involving tile. I was introduced to Frank in floor/tile department. He had a great sense of humor and an expert in flooring. I also was assisted by Angelique who checked me out at the register she was also very friendly and customer service driven. It's was actually nice to go to Home Depot and not feel lost in a maze but was met with friendly and helpful staff.”

“I enjoy the lower cost grocery shopping, the medicine, toiletries, and general goods are all much less expensive here. When I lived farther, I would spend $40 in gas to shop at Walmart, and I'd still save in the end over shopping at the grass valley grocery store. Worth the time and effort for sure. Now that I live close enough to shop there regularly, I find myself shopping there 2-3 times per week. The staff costs them a star, the regular guy at the self check at the store off Riley has a smart mouth and is rude to customers when he thinks they can't hear him. Guy needs to appreciate his job, and stop assuming every time the self check triggers that customers are lying thieves... "everyone says they scanned all the items, but I always find what they are stealing " he quipped... thinking I couldn't hear him. After they realized it was in fact not stealing, he said nothing to apologize. So I let him know my displeasure of being called a thief for no reason at all, but he couldn't look me in the eye, acknowledging his mistake or even act like he could hear me. He just pretended he couldn't hear me. Don't assume folks are stealing , and certainly don't do it in a smart @ss insulting manner... because you were wrong, and when you don't apologize or acknowledge that fact, you look like a real piece of work. Just don't open your mouth to comment before you know the facts”

“Rented a truck to pick up a ping pong table from the rental side of Home Depot. Fred was behind the counter. He was efficient, friendly and super funny. I left with a big ole smile on my face. The return was super easy and once again I was entertained by Fred. It was a good eye opener that they have SO much tools and other things to rent. A true do it yourself paradise. There's been other occasions where I've stopped in to purchase plants and my husbands list of stuff to complete his projects around the home. I can honestly say if you need something for your home this is the place to go. Plenty of parking, clean store and friendly employees.”
