Firat associate did not know what we were asking for next one who assisted us with a locked case for push fittings, as we tried to explain our needs he was on his cell phone texting...then walk away to help someone else.

Was looking for soft to close cabinet hinges.The person I was dealing with was not customer oriented.All he was able to tell me no don't have them.I took sample did not offer any assistance.
I asked when they will recieve all I got was a dumb look on his face and shrugged his shoulders.

I went there to Purchase Butane Canisters for my camp stove which cost $5.99 each too expensive for my taste! I bought 2 because I really needed them the store I usually buy from hasn't been stocking them
They cost $1.69 each there too.
Ended up copying 3 keys purchased a 50ft extension cord key ring Good location big Inventory good find. 👍

Man oh man.....this hardware store is one of a kind. I went in there for the first time and was amazed. I found the part for my water heater at Max's, and nowhere else. This place has everything, and that's no exaggeration. I was there for over an hour just looking at all the stuff I couldn't find anywhere else. The workers are also very very helpful and knowledgeable.

I love this staple business of our town. Sometimes I find the best prices compared to larger retail chains or even the big retailer on line. They have mostly everything you need and it is a reminder of a time when days were better. I went there with my dad a lot growing up in El Monte. I would even go as far to say it is a historical business and building in El Monte.

I bought a plumbing connect for a water pressure regulator. When I got home I found it is not fit my regulator. The guys there did not let me return the connector. They said "I service you and spent lot of time to find it." By the way I can find the gasket.

I have known Toby and the owner Bob Klair for many years. This place is indeed a "diamond in the rough" . Don't be put off by this stores 'rough and ready" appearance . These guys know a Hell of a lot about home maintenance and plumbing. They also have one of the best selections of hard to find plumbing parts in the 626 area code. Tony is a genius helping you find that "hard to find" plumbing item. Ask me how I know. I am a licensed plumbing contractor and for 2 decades Tony has been one of my "go to guys" for hard to find parts. Don't be put off by the bad reviews you see here. These guys know what they are talking about and will not disappoint. DD
