“Nucleus is an art gallery that caters to more modern artists in the genre of pop culture, anime, and local flavor artists.
A nice, clean esthetic that provides a wonderful space to display the art. There are two stories. Enough room to display many different artists, which switch out on a regular basis.
There are also meet and greets as well as signings. Depending on the artists, the crowds show up to meet people they admire.
Great place to peruse and buy art.”
“So much to see here! Judith, one of the co-owners, is a really lovely lady and is incredibly hospitable and helpful. Lots of great materials esp for Euro history and materials about ancient Near East.”

“I have had Nova do about five projects for me, and they have all been gorgeous. This family owned business has been around a long time, and they are experts at what they do. What they can do with matting and framing elevates your art to the next level.”
“The boss and his wife are awesome! kind! There are many antiques, objects, and bracelets! Family members who like antique bracelets should not miss this opportunity, family members, come on!”
“Beautiful pieces I purchased to add to my ofrenda. I'm so glad I found this place by chance. I just happened to be visiting a friend at a nearby restaurant and ended up walking by this store. So many beautiful pieces.
Pieces purchased:
-alebrije (cat)
-calaca sitting on a clay sugar skull
-calaca holding instrument
They also carry evil eye bracelets, which I also bought.”
“Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to take a peak at the free to see “From the Ground Up” exhibit. This gallery is small but engaging with a wide variety of contemporary artworks on display that all told a different but connected story. The gallery wasn’t crowded at all which allowed for an immersive art experience. I was able to find street parking close by without issue. They also host other exhibits periodically and offer art classes for children and adults. I haven’t been to one of these yet, but would love to in the future. A nice place to stop by for a bit to enjoy free art if you find yourself walking around in Old Pasadena.”
“The past is the way to the future. Without further ado let's begin the landmark review.El Molino Viejo aka The Old Mill (est 1816) is a two-story architectural landmark with huge grounds and tranquil gardens in the city of San Marino. It was the first ever grist mill constructed in the early 19th century California to serve Mission San Gabriel; and personally designed and supervised by Padre JM de Zalvidea. It's facility was powered by a waterwheel. Impressive!!Walking around The Old Mill you'll notice it has a fortress-like design with five ft thick brick walls surrounding the mill's 43,500+ sq ft grounds. It serve as a protection in the event of disturbances during that time. Moreover, throughout its history it was vandalized, foreclosed, sold and passed down to state/city, to prominent California families and a company. Blimey! At present time, the El Molino Viejo is a lovely museum and event space. I bet most LA locals were oblivious that this exist; who knew this historical landmark was right under my very nose. I spent 35 minutes and 30 seconds to visit and explore the entirety of the museum grounds. Street parking only. Admission is free. Hours are limited. Beverage is permitted in and around the museum. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and recommend you visit.”
“Stay Gallery located in downtown Downey is a precious gem in our city. They feature local artist as well as events for the community. Thank you Stay Gallery for your February Family Paint Day Event last week. The guided acrylic paint dau was so much fun. Please look them up! They have events posted on their website for a fun family day. They also host private events! There's a parking structure directly across the street. Enjoy the Downey mural on Downey Ave. painted by local artist depicting several Downey landmarks! So proud to be from this city for over 20 years.”
“After visiting the Goodwill, we were walking to a local pizza restaurant near the metro when we saw this shop. We went in thinking it would be a thrift store-calling-itself-antique-for-clout and didn’t expect this to be a two-story haven for art dealers, rug sellers, chandeliers, Asian pieces, and even a shoe shine stand! This was definitely a diamond in the rough!”
“A vintage themed jewel in uptown Whittier, beautifully authentic Mexican Art, clothes, and jewelry. Come see My favorite shop and my good friend Janelle (owner).”
“We visited the complex to see Paula Cole perform here. The parking staff was very helpful. The staff was efficient and friendly. The venue was very nice and comfortable. The show was spectacular and produced very well. All the seats are designed to see the stage and enjoy a performance. Great place.”
