I give 3 stars for a few reasons: (1) they do not offer 24 hour access which I find inconvenient, (2) the storage often feels hot when I am there to retrieve items, although it says that it's climate controlled.

I like the people who work in the office. I don't like the fact that they don't enforce the rules about proping the doors open and tailgating through the gate. Everyone should use their own codes to go in and out.

I felt comfortable leaving my personal belongings here, seems to be pretty much secure! BUT, I feel like the prices for storages are getting pretty steep now a day's! So many people losing their storages due to non pmt.! I think they should take into consideration that more than half the people who have a unit have also lost their home's or other sad situations where the storage companies are keeping their personal belongings such as family heirlooms or pictures that have no sentimental value to them! So, what happens to those item's???? There can and should be a solution to this where both parties are satisfied, and yes I understand if they would just pay their bills! It's not that easy, and I feel like I'm speaking for a lot of people who have had to go through this! All in all, thank you El Monte storage for temporarily keeping my stuff safe!!!! LC

i have been a customer for 2 years and so far so good unlit three days ago when my unit was burglarize. I did my police report but everyone knowns that they are not catching anyone. with out good evidence.My big issue is that your cameras are outdated and also there locations are poor and no cameras on the hallways and the camera in the elevator don't work. Is very hard to believe that two people randomly pick a locker on the second floor and hit the jack pot. i remember this white bold guy 5' 9 to 6' braw shoulder medium built having a unit in front of mine the only person how saw what I had. Now the staff is sayin that "no" the unit was occupied by an Asian man so it makes me believe it was a inside job. please be aware how you hire and have more accountability for your business.

Terrible customer service. Rude manager. Hard to get a hold of, hard to deal with. Needless fees. Hard to access unit. Manager was a nightmare to deal with. Waste of time, bad location, there are better places to rent from
