The customer service from all the staff was great, for being a small store they have a good selection.

It is a small main exchange, but it offered a lot of selections. It appeared spacious in spite of the size and quantity of merchandise. I liked it and I will return on my next visit to LA.

I gave the Los Angeles AFB Exchange a four star rating based on the limited amount of merchandise available compared to other Military exchanges. Having said that basic items are available but again somewhat limited in size, especially clothing. Store had great lighting and was clean. Staff was pleasant and nice to work with. Overall a good experience.

ZERO STARS, Firearms department was shut down because of sloppy and undone mismanaged paperwork. They never had real employees that had knowledge of firearms, and correct record keeping, they would slap anyone in behind the firearms cage. That is what got them shut down. They need a real Store Manager with the right experience, not just a handpicked manager because of personal preference. Now everyone is forced to go to Edwards AFB because of their incompetence. Total ShyyytShow here... The BASE COMMANDER is just as much to blame, happened on his watch. All the firearms outprocessing paperwork had his name on it when you would pick up any firearms, stating the do's and don'ts... Yes, starts at the top sir! You have a chance to redeem yourself worthy, of all operations at the Base, bring back the Firearms Department with capable and competent Firearms employees...

Great place to use your commissary and exchange privileges with easy access from all directions.

3 stars for the staff. Very friendly and courteous. 1 star off for main manager for being inconsiderate, closing the firearms department. Did not care that LA residents now have to drive to Edwards AFB (over 100 miles) to buy anything firearms related. Another star off because the firearms department that this base fought for for over 10 years is closed. Thank you Mr. Weaver for being a patriotic American looking out for the troops best interest...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Relatively small, but no better options for military exchanges in the greater Los Angeles area.- All the good basics are here.- Friendly staff (Steven was very kind and helpful).

I’m a disabled Navy vet and I tried to shop at this store twice. I went with my mom on the weekend, thinking that I would be able to register my car in order to get on the base. Well, the visitor registration office was closed on the weekends so we came back today. I walked in, and the gentleman behind the counter was very abrupt and rude, “Where are you trying to go? Why do you need this pass? Do you have anyone with you?” Well I brought my mom and thought I would just be her sponsor while on base to shop. But she had to come in and get a day pass. We gave him our information and the process took so long. I think we were there waiting for about 30 minutes. Finally when we got the day pass and registered my car, he tells us that the commissary is closed today. THATS what we came there for in the first place. Our plans were ruined but after that encounter, I didn’t feel like shopping there any way. Next time, I’ll just go to Port Hueneme. I had a much better experience there.
