This store just keeps failing in every aspect. Customer service is horrible, I never get greeted when I walk in. No one offers to help, and when you ask someone for help everyone seems to run away or try to avoid customers. It perfectly explains the recruitment process most Ulta's have. I have apply many times and got rejected. Once for being over qualify and another time because all the managers had no communication with each other and just didn't follow up. I must say they lost a great candidate. If you guys are thinking about working for ULTA look else were. They pick and choose , discriminate , and try to low ball you on your skills and pay rate. I want to emphasize that my intention is to raise awareness and seek a resolution to ensure a fair and inclusive work environment for all future employees and customers. Now I have to worry about unpleasant interactions with some of the managers. This has put a financial strain in my pocket since I have to drive further to other ULTA locations, or order online which takes longer. It is now affecting different facets of my life now.

Horrible experience! My friends and I were returning from Manhattan Beach and decided to go by Ulta (El Segundo)... A lady and a man working there approached us as we were browsing in the store and gave us mean looks.The lady even offered help and I actually thought she was trying to help me find a product (I was looking for a flat iron to do waves) and she told me flat irons won't do waves... then she followed us throughout the whole store (even to the front door and looked straight at us as we left, even looked as if she was calling someone).Horrible experience, makes me never want to visit Ulta again.

Not content with this ulta . If you decide to get your hair done hair prepare to pay 400+ for simple bleaching .When I've paid 250 for the same services at other ultas. They didn't wanna honor what they told me . Then they offer me a refund, with constantly mentioning " we don't normally do this " . Saying they can put my money back on my card then recant what they said . Gave me a gift card to a company I won't be supporting any longer . Definitely calling corporate.Unprofessional. Passive aggressive. Won't work with you . Period. Worst 400+ money I've spent . Wasn't expecting to spend all this money . Let's see how I'm going to eat the rest of this week.??

My little sister went here to get her hair done for her birthday. So excited. She decided to go to this location . Since she's had previously good services . But, unfortunately this time it was beyond horrendous. They gave her services she didn't ask for . She's very meek and doesn't speak up for herself. So she didn't say anything because she assumed they knew what they were doing because of her previously experiences.She asked before hand .. Beforehand before how much she needed to pay. What if she didn't have that money ? Then what ? . And to top it all . This lady named beth called her and told her that she could a refund if only 62. Out of 428. Charged her 10.00 more because her cashier didn't ring her up for the first time. That's so petty . What is she going to do a 52 gift and for a company she won't support ?? I bet if we were white this wouldn't have happened.

I go to this Ulta very often, but today was one of the best experinces i've ever had. I walked in just looking for something new, and the sweetest girl named Izzy went out of her way to not only help me finding what I needed but also made me feel incredibly comfortable. She made sure I was getting the best product, and tested multiple times with me to make sure I found something I loved. There is no amount of words I can write to truly express my gratitude and thanks to Izzy. Highly recommend!

Wow. Talk about incompetent. I came here today which is the last day of the Back-to-MAC program to donate all my empty or expired MAC products. 2 employees had no idea that they even participated in the program. They called their manager over who told me it's the last day for the program. Duh, that's why I'm here. She let me know I can only trade in the empties for lipstick. Okay, so I go to grab my 4 lipsticks (trading in 24 containers). She looks at my containers and tells me that they need to be empty and my containers still had product in them. So I told her that I think when they say empty, it doesn't mean literally. And she exclaimed "I know what they mean, but they're strict with us that it needs to be empty." I have worked for MAC previously, as well as Macy's and Nordstrom so I’m very familiar with their policy on the program. She snapped at me "I'll just do it because it's the last day." Um, okay. I literally have never had any push back for their recycling program before and this manager literally makes me never want to frequent this Ulta again. She was rude and condescending and just downright stupid.

Phenomenal color correction by LynnI had a balayage from another stylist, done over a month ago. It was an absolute disaster I had orange / coppery /brassy hair. It was a balayage gone wrong, nothing about it was even and it truly had me contemplating to shave my head or cut it all off.I initially was so afraid to even get a color correction. I walked into this Ulta wanting to put a toner in my hair similar to my base color, and cover the WORST balayage I've ever had.However, Lynn gave me a consultation and offered me a solution. I am truly amazed by the results and even more so the quality of the salon experience from start to finish it was unlike any other hair service I've ever had ( I've been to other Ulta salons e.g. Redondo); however THIS SALON IS THE BEST & no other location has LYNN & her amazing assistants making sure you have the highest quality experience. Lynn not only "fixed" my hair, nowhere near a patch job... she went above and beyond & gave me MY DREAM HAIR. Plus, my girl even left my hair feeling super silky soft after the entire process. She educated me on how to maintain this work of art ( shampoo/conditioners , do's and don'ts, when to schedule future maintenance) & even stayed after her shift to provide hair styling!!! I absolutely LOVE this Ulta, the entire staff is always so welcoming and friendly!! They don't hover over you, I always have a pleasant experience here.LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY GIRL IZZY THO!!! Besides the fact that she's such a kind beautiful soul, she was SO INCREDIBLY helpful. She was able to color match mine and my sister's foundation PERFECTLY all while giving us other options for different finishes. She was so dope!!I know that this is Izzy's job BUT Izzy carry's it with such ease. She didn't make us feel like she had no other option but to help us because she's "clocked in." She knows what she's talking about, she's THAT GIRRRRLL!!! We'll be returning for all seasons so she can match us for our winter, spring, summer, and autumn shade lol. She should be a MUA for sure!!! I can't stop talking about how PERFECT our shades were.ASK ABOUT IZZY!! Tell her I sent y'all lol100000/10!!!!!!!!

I typically never write reviews but today led me to. Some kind employees helped me today but when I was in line, the cashier must’ve not seen me. She COMPLETELY ignored me and acknowledged the woman behind me even though I was next in line. (I’m guessing the woman behind me worked there because the cashier called her by name & she was wearing all black as well.)Before I had the chance to speak up and say something the lady behind me had walked to the register in front of me. Personally if someone had been waiting in front of me I would’ve said you know what I was here after you, you go ahead but that was not my experience today. Super disappointing. This is a large store with fully stocked shelves. The associates are very helpful. This store had everything I was looking for. The store is clean and neatly organize. There is salon in the store. If looking to have your hair styled. You can have your hair styled there and get the products in the store. One stop shopping. Be sure to sign up for points with your purchase. The points can be applied to your next purchase. The points make a difference in the final purchase price. ?

Absolutely loved my experience here at this ulta location . I came in for a foundation match and asked for a recommendation and got the best shade match I've ever had thanks to cierra. Definitely looking forward to coming to this location from now on.
