I've been working out at this gym for 2 years now and plan on staying as long as it's still here. I like that it's not too crowded. I never have to wait to use any equipment. And everyone is pretty friendly. I've even made friends with someone I now regularly workout with!

I started with Anytime almost 4 years ago now. I lost 68 pounds in the first 7 months and then added 12-15 pounds of lean mass. I love the Managers Matt and Jennifer. They are so helpful and supportive. You can tell all the trainers really care about their clients. The atmosphere there is awesome. Everyone is friendly and shares the same goal of health and fitness.

I’ve been going to Anytime fitness in Elk Grove, CA for 1 yr and I absolutely love it! The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable & supportive. The gym is always clean and I feel safe there. I will continue to be a member of Anytime fitness, this gym has changed my life in so many positive ways!

Anytime fitness is a great little gym. Not a lot of people. Everyone is nice. They have a hydromassage bed I love! If you're looking for a trainer, Kito is the best! I only wish they had zoomba classes.

SCAMMERS!!! I was a member to anytime fitness and have tried to cancel my membership for several months but they refuse to cancel it and continue to charge me monthly. I had to report the transactions as fraud to my bank but the gym is still continuing to send me emails and texts saying my account is past due and I owe my dues plus late fees! Don't join this gym unless you want to be scammed out of your money.

Like this place! Low key. Not selling the extra training. Also quiet! No blaring radios and tvs. All types of people. Few show-offs, just people that want to exercise and move on.

This is the worst gym and management are horrible. Reminds me of current mobile phone customer...Pretty much don't GAF about current customers after you signed that contract. They will treat you nice to get you sign up then ignore your feedback and recommendations. I would not recommend this gym to anybody. I would recommend anytime fitness but not at this location.I've made my point from the owner's response below...nobody talked about remote control...it's the overall attitude in this place from management. As you can see other posts...I'm not the only one complaining about management style in this place.BTW...Thank you for cancelling my membership due to the bad review...How childish is this owner...Glad 6 other members decided cancel their membership. Enjoy your 'woke' gym

I've been a customer for last 3 years but made my decision to cancel last week and joined Planet Fitness due to poor decisions made by management/owner.

I would normally recommend Anytime fitness in general except for this Elk Grove location. I've been going here for last couple of years and the managements are horible....they don't seem to care about customer's feedbacks and complaints. This gym is always cold especially with all the fans running in the middle of winter. The owner is Michelle Meehan and she is pretty much hands off and out of touch.

The pros: The gym itself is great for what it is. It's small but very clean and well kept with lots of gym accessories in good condition (pads, bands, medicine balls, etc.). The equipment itself is kept in good working order (unlike the Watt location where many machines are dirty/falling apart). The manager, Matt, is very friendly and welcoming, as is his wife Jen. Both are happy to chat about services the gym offers. This location offers personal & group training with flexible hours and the workouts are easy to do for any fitness level. I'd love to end the review here, but no. We cannot. The cons:This is a VERY busy location and is almostnever slow - even at 3-4am. I have been coming here for 8 months now and have never walked in to less than 5 people there, which isn't a lot, but keep in mind it's a small gym with limited equipment. There are lots of weights, but only one Smith machine and two cable machines - all of which are in CONSTANT use. The cable machines are next to each other and people tend to use both at the same time (cable machine flys) which takes away from the very limited resources of such a small gym. While it is nice to see a community that cares about their health/fitness and to feel like you're a part of it, the members here are not welcoming at all. They are often rude and tend to hover or get annoyed when you won't move for them. Don't even bother trying to super set on these machines. Someone will step in and change your weight without even glancing in your direction. All of is this manageable once you've found your groove, but there is one thing that is awful and out of control that makes me want to change gyms, and it's the high school crowd that comes in the evenings. It's like an after school program for older teens and it completely ruins the vibe. They're loud, inconsiderate and are constantly talking selfies or making Tik Toks, they door dash food and eat on the equipment. And we're not talking just a few. Two nights ago I was there and around 8:30p, a group of 5 kids walked in (on top of the two that were there staring at themselves, taking pics on their phone and talking loudly about girls and their gains - they were kinda funny though - very cliche lol) and instantly killed the vibe. I get the the gym is for everyone, but I feel that limited hours for teens would be beneficial. I'm a 40 year old woman and the last thing I want is to be sweaty and shaking in the background of some kid's GymTok. I think a parent requirement after a certain hour would fix the issue. Because things as they are now are giving "after school special". In closing, the gym, it's staff and it's amenities are well worth the price and deserve 4 stars, but the members drop it down to 3.
