I only use this facility because of the operating hours (they open earlier than some of the other locations). The staff at this location has terrible customer service! I rarely see a smile and experience a pleasant greeting when I walk through the door. I have come to avoid any interaction with the front desk staff and some of the trainers on the floor. I do not recommend coming here for the environment or community.

While I love my gym (Cal FIT Laguna), I am very frustrated that CalFIT reduced weekend hours during COVID but NEVER restored those hours back when COVID was over. We have just asked the management to restore three hours (one hour on Friday to extend closing from the current 8 PM to 9 PM and one hour each on Saturday and Sunday to extend the closure from 7 PM to 8 PM, all for a total extra of just three hours) but CalFIT management continues to ignore this very reasonable request. Their lack of response to their member concerns is forcing me to rejoin Fltness Systems, which does not close until 11 PM on all nights, even though it requires me to driv4e to the Land Park location from my Elk Grove home. It is really bad customer service for CalFIT to so ignore its customers and our very reasonable request. Maybe it will require CalFIT to lose lots of customers because of its poor weekend hour availability to its clients. This poor management responsiveness to customer concerns is why I give CalFIT a two-star rating!

I visited downtown alhambra and the gym sauna and pools were filthy.I them visited Natomas gym and their gym pools and steam rooms were filthy. Natomas service were incompetentI visited the bond laguna gym and their facilities were clean and the pools were awesomely clean. Just their disabled equipment in pool area was defective for use. Bond gym is the cleanest gym and professional customer service. NOTE: Cal Fitness members who have children at the gym should be aware that if you should become in need for emergency assistance while at the gym you will NOT get any assistance or help from the gym employees. I am disabled and went to gym with my grandchildren ( age 4 and age 5). My.grandson vomited at the front desk. The gym employees did absolutely nothing to help the child and didn't even call a janitorial clean up employee to assist cleaning the floor nor did they even offer paper towels to wipe the child or clean the floor. They just stood watching doing nothing. Also the disabled grandparent in a wheel chair, the mother with two children were treated unprofessional when purchasing clothing products. Staff can be incompetent discriminative towards members of disabled.

I originally signed up online for the "supposed" free 7-Day trial. I was in town for a few days, and I needed a place to workout while in town. I'd gotten a phone call to come in for a consultation that was included with my 7-Day Trial. Long story short, I came and asked about the 7 day trial since I was in town. They told me that wouldn't apply to me because that was only for customer who intend on getting a membership. So they made me pay $50 for the week pass. I'd also asked if there was a military discount for disabled veterans, Jose told me that it didnt apply to the $50 week pass, when he'd previously told me that that did give military discounts while in his office. I probably won't ever come back to this one. The Franchise is great, just not this location.

The only complaint I have is this place is unsanitary!! Sad and True!! Dirty womens showers, toilets, unfilled shampoo/body wash, hand soap, and filthy. There is a staff recording to temind them, but goes on ignored. Someone took the changing room curtain, un replaced for weeks now. Water hazards everywhere. Omg!! It needs serious overhauling in terms of maintenance, Costs alot of $$ to be an upgraded member, too. Management needs to know!!

Mike wasn’t really well informed on the cancellation policy and if fees would be charged so I asked him not to process my cancellation if he can’t tell me the answer to my questions and he responded I don’t make the rules. I said well you shouldn’t offer to take care of something if it could result in an unknown charge that I wouldn’t be informed about until an email 2 days later.

I have been going to this gym since 2001, and I have had the worst experience I've ever had here.First, the elliptical machine i wanted to use said "low battery" and shut off. Its the only machine like it, so that was very frustrating. Many machines are broken, which happens, but it seems like a lot of them are broken here, and for how much you pay for a subscription, you'd think they would be on top of it.While talking to a trainer I know, a different woman who apparently many people know at the gym starts talking about being at the gym despite having covid. No mask. I know this isn't the gyms fault, but these are the kinds of people here. Bring a mask if you're worried about covid.Lastly, when I finished my workout, I went to the front desk to ask for hydromassage. I made eye contact with one of the four associates behind the desk and asked for hydromassage. I got the most disgusted look from her as another associate got the hydromassage set up. I understand I'm not a small woman. I am going to the gym to fix it. My face was red, but I wasn't overly sweaty or smelly. It made me feel like she was disgusted because of my weight. I've seen that look before, and i know what it pertains to. The look of disgust as I'm asking for a service I pay for was unacceptable.All in all, if you're okay with rude customer service, inconsiderate gym-goers, and broken machines, this is the place for you.

I play football and now that it’s off season I wanted to start going to the gym, so I got a plan at cal fit and they said I could bring a guess pass with my account. The gym is ok but for how big it is it doesn’t have many machines or free weights. There’s only one squat rack one smith and one deadlift spot. Also there’s been a tricep machine that’s been broken for more than a month and for how expensive the prices are it hasn’t been fixed at all. As I was saying about the guess passes I wanted to bring my friend in the gym and I wanted to use the guess pasess that we where told we had when we got a subscription. As soon as I went it I asked if I could use a guest pass and was told that guess passes are only for 18 + and then we had to pay a day pass and it was a different price than I’ve been told 2 other times I’ve been told 10 dollars 30 dollars and even 40 dollars. There’s better gyms and if they don’t expand and add more free weights then their competitors like 24 hours or chuze will soon pass them.

Has a very cool app to go with your membership. I wish it synced with more than just Apple and Fitbit though. I use Samsung Health app.I like how spacious the building is. Even with a lot of people, its easy to get your workouts in. Whole second floor is just cardio machines(there is an elevator for those who need). Multiple basketball courts and swimming pools. They do have an indoor "healthy drink" restaurant. They are delicious! It is a little pricey for an individual, heck even two people is 110 base price. Highly recommend signing up as a family to offset each cost. Oh bring your own towel though if you plan to shower at the place, free towels are not included unless you sign up for a more expensive tier membership.

I am currently a CalFit member and after my experience recently I am reconsidering my membership. I have a friend who wanted to try CalFit out based on my recommendation. He went online saw the 7 day trial and when we came had to speak to a person in membership sales. He asked if he was ever a member and he was honest and stated he thinks he was under his parents account which was over 10+ years ago but he didn't ever really come. The sales person did not even make an attempt to look up if he actually was ineligible for the pass but stated "Oh so you know about it already so you cannot get the 7 day pass." His verbiage and demeanor was very curt and dismissive. He stated he can purchase a pass for a day or week only so those were his only 2 options. I sat in the room with him and heard it all and I could not believe how he spoke to him which was so condescending especially when you are in it for the membership sales. I honestly was very disgusted I wanted to cancel my membership based on that because for as much as you charge you shouldn't speak to anyone like that. After that the sales person told him he could workout for the 7 days and then passive aggressively stated to him "You know in life we do need to pay for things sometimes." Are you kidding me? Is this the type of environment, culture and people you employ and want to represent your establishment? If so I will GLADLY cancel and not think twice about it.

I usually use only steam room and jacuzzi, but there are no lockers here. most likely I will cancel the membership, there is a gym cheaper and with the same level of service
