Been taking my dog to Cassi and company for years now. She is the kindest, most flexible person as well as great with dogs. Offers daycare and boarding. Super easy website. Can't recommend enough.

Cassi & her team provide the best experience our family could ever ask for! They clearly love all the animals in their care as their own & we always feel comfortably leaving our fur baby with them. We got our pup Lapu at the start of the pandemic March 2020 & really wanted to make sure he had socialization as a puppy, so we signed him up for daycare. They have faux grass, so he doesn't get dirty while playing all day. If the weather is rainy they have an indoor set up too. Drop off & pick up is so easy as they come to get him from your car. It works best to text your eta for drop off & pick up, so they expect your arrival. He always has a blast making new friends & it's so fun to see pictures on their Facebook page. Within the last 3 years, we've also used their boarding services when we go on trips. It's so easy to request the boarding online through their website. Drop off is the same as for daycare, except we bring his food separated in plastic bags & a thin bed. Lapu always licks Cassi's face when he sees her and isn't hesitant at all about leaving us to go with her. She's always prompt at texting us when we check in to see how he's doing. He's never had any problems being depressed & not eating, so I know he's well taken care of and getting a ton of love while we are gone. If you are on the fence about joining the Elk Grove Pet Resort family, I highly recommend it! I don't think you'll be disappointed. We never had any issues or experienced anything less than 5 star customer service. We love Cassi & her team!

i could not be more thankful for the services they provide for my pooch. They are amazing people who are willing to go above and beyond for your pet. Never a hassle scheduling a groom appointment and owner is always fast with communication. The groomer Christina work is phenomenal. She truly is genuine and always makes sure what we want done. She always has my dog Olive looking so cute and happy afterwards. This place is top notch and recommend it to anyone. Below is a before and after picture.

Cassy really makes you feel safe and secure, she's super dog friendly and genuinely loves what she does. She made sure to get Astro fully groomed, nails, ears, glands, bath & haircut for a great deal. Ready super quick!!!BY THE WAY, Make sure to slow down to 10-15mph when approaching the place and look for the dog signs, they are faded,we had to turn back around cause we couldn't see the signs.

Brought our sweet dog to Elk Grove Pet Resort and Spa for five nights boarding. We were assured he would be fine, have a room with a large bed to himself and that we'd get lots of pics during his stay. We got one collage of multiple dog photos 45 minutes after we left and didn't hear from them again even though we asked for updates. When we picked him up the owner assured us that he was super fun, had a great time and everyone loved him and sorry he was so dirty. She even said he made at least 15 new friends. When we got him home we noticed multiple wounds. After bathing him and treating his wounds we contacted the kennel. She immediately denied everything and demanded photos. We sent her photos clearly showing two wounds to lower back leg, bleeding between his toes, a large abrasion on his elbow and a raw spot in his ear. Now she changes her story to say our pet is anxious and must be chewing on himself and his nervousness makes him a bad candidate for boarding. She suggests we try elsewhere. Excuse me. What? She did charge us the full rate for his stay and took no responsibility for damaging our pup.We couldn't recommend this place if it was for free. Save yourself and your poor pups and stay away from this evil place. We will never be back.

Cassi and her staff really are TOP TIER!I have taken my Malinois, Luka to a few other daycares and boarders in the past and have always felt anxious that he isn't getting the love and care he deserves. With Cassi it is the complete opposite! The peace of mind that I feel when he's in Cassi's care is priceless! She is so incredibly genuine and you can feel the love that she has for all the pups that are in her care. She will treat your babies as if they are her own! I love that she also has large dogs as there aren't many people out there that understand the needs and quirks of breeds like mals and gsds like Cassi and her team.We moved from Elk Grove to Sacramento and still make, and will continue to make the now 35 minute drive to Cassi because she really is the only one we trust to care for our boy.I can't recommend Elk Grove Pet Resort and Spa enough!

I went on a trip for 8 days and had to find someone to watch our 2 fur babies (Husky & Dachshund) and Cassi was able to fit them in! I was so worried because they have never stayed anywhere away from us. Cassi and her team took amazing care of them. She gave updates and sent pics of our babies having a blast! And even though i would bug & message at random times lol, Cassi & her team would always reply to reassure me! So grateful for Elk Grove Pet Resort & Spa! Didn't take pics, but out babies were nice & groomed when we picked them up too! (And Lobo-husky) was nice & deshedded! Would highly recommend! Thank you so much Cassi!

Well, the owner responded. I guess I'll start at the top; Quote, "We are glad we were able to send you some photos of your boy having fun out in our daycare program!" Wait, what?? 3-1/2 hours after dropping him off we received a set of pictures from that very first morning. And that was it. Nothing else for 5 days. Quote, "Our apologies that we were not able to give you updates every day." Wait, what?? You didn't give us an update ANY day. No updates, no more pictures, for 5 days. Quote, "Cooper did have major separation anxiety due to being alone in the room, (Scratching and pawing at our doors) this was his first time boarding and he unfortunately does not do well in that type of environment." Wait, what?? This is not at all what you said when we picked him up. You said, "He did really good you guys, we could put him with any dog. He's super easy-going, has a really good demeanor. He made over 15 friends easily. I'm so sorry if he's a little muddy or dirty. NEXT TIME I'll put a note on to give him a bath." To recap my confusion as to what really happened; Story #1, at pick up; you said Cooper was wonderful and that there will be a "next time". Story #2, when I questioned Cooper's wounds; you said "we did not notice any wounds upon leaving our facility, we would have let you known right away." And then you fired me. Apparently now there will not be a "next time". Story #3, after reading the owner's comment; "...our groomer did record hot spots due to anxiety on legs, and he was indeed chewing on his paws." This contradicts #2 or you would have let us know right away, right? I'm not sure which story to go with but it doesn't matter, it keeps changing and I can't believe anything you say at this point. Quote, "We will be sending over the scorecard from his stay with us. And also we documented it on our Exit Evaluation exam." Wait, what?? Story #2 said there were no injuries. And I would only believe the scorecard if it was handed to me at pick up. Quote, "We found it very unprofessional how you accused us for abusing your pup right away!" Wait, what?? I am not the professional, I thought you were. I'm just an upset dog owner. I pay you to watch my dog expecting him to be safe and unharmed. He is returned to me with wounds on his body that you do not disclose. And since you told me at pick up how great he was, with zero mention of anxiety, there were only 3 other possibilities, abuse, accident or dog fight. I'm just trying to figure out what happened to my dog. Quote, "We provided a service, went above and beyond to care for your pup and we have made the decision that we are not moving forward with the refund." Satisfaction is definitely NOT guaranteed.

Cassi called me immediately after this review to apologize and made an effort to fix the situation. While I appreciate the effort and concern, unfortunately I'm still really struggling with how this was handled. This past week since the groom, my dog has suffered excessive itching on her belly and the cuts on her butt have been painful and bothersome. :( 1. Yes, she did offer a refund, but I have not received it, as there hasn't been any follow up on their end. I'll take it as a loss at this point. 2. I can't accept that the groomer justified the cuts because my dog was "having a hard time standing up" If you can't handle a puppy moving or dog in general, I don't think you know how to do your job properly. 3. "Made sure we put antiseptic spray on the cut before she went home." Yes, after *I* asked and pointed it out. It worries me that I had to bring this up and not the groomer before returning my dog. Which makes me think, they would have never shared with me if I didn't notice the cuts. 4. "We love your dog, but hate to fire clients." is what I was told. I don't know if this was intentional, as we had a pleasant conversation over the phone regarding the incident, but this statement came off as a kind indirect passive threat because of this honest experience I reviewed here. I understand as a small business poor reviews can hurt, but I do have a right to be honest about the situation. 5. Lastly, "We are truly sorry you feel the way you feel about our grooming." is not a true apology. Again, they have a great daycare/boarding as Cassi is great with dogs, so it's truly unfortunate her groomer ruined our visit here. :(

We hate having to board our older German Shepherd because he is such a big baby and very attached to our family. Cassie was absolutely amazing at putting our concerns at ease and making him feel welcomed the minute we got there. I was so impressed with the easy drop off, communication and feeling of we were dropping him off with someone who loved him as much as us. He was a tough case to groom as his undercoat had gotten pretty bad after we missed some grooming appointments with other groomers. In the 10 years we have had him I've never had a groomer talk to me about an undercoat or giving the dog breaks between brushing. When we picked him up he was happy, healthy and looked amazing! You can tell they took their time with him and truly cared. We will definitely be back for grooming and boarding! I've included pictures of the old man. Don't let the pictures fool you he was happy but he hates taking pictures and this is the look I get when he sees the camera.
